The only title that springs to my mind is Ghostwriter but i'm pretty sure that's not the one you're talking about.

Sounds like The Others, in which case the guy you mistook for Morgan Freeman was actually Bill Cobbs.

I'm going nuts trying to remember this tv show. It was short, can't remember if it was cancelled or it only had 1 or 2 seasons maybe. It was an old guy (I could swear it was Morgan Freeman, but I'm probably wrong, since IMDB didn't bring anything up when I searched for him), that started rounding up a group of kids with paranormal powers. They could talk to ghosts, or see the future. It was a depressing group, I think they were introverted, or attempted suicide or something like that. I know, my description isn't the best, but I can barely remember the show. I think I remember the old guy being in a wheelchair, and the co-protagonist was a redhead, that kept refusing to join the group.
