Homestar Runner

Homestar Runner has not updated since their april fool's joke several months ago.

Personally, I am fine with the website being discontinued before it becomes a Franchise Zombie. I do wonder, however, why the website contains no farewell message, or even any acknowledgment that the creators are done.

This probably goes under New Media. Homestar Runner is not a webcomic.

And if it's done, it's done. All good things do come to an end.

There is this upcoming crossover game that seems to involve Sam And Max, Team Fortress 2, Penny Arcade, and Homestar Runner (or at least SBCG 4 AP), but as we don't know much of anything about that one yet...

That makes me sad. I was very fond of the site.

The fact that it's had such a constant presence throughout this last decade makes it all the more sadder.

I hear it's partly because of their involvement on the movie Monster Safari.

Also the baby.

Wait, is anyone anywhere saying they've discontinued it? Yeah, it's been a bit... fallow... lately, but I haven't heard of any plans.

We'll see if they make Halloween or not, I guess.

Well, it has been an extremely long time. Longer than that time Homestar slept through June, even.

They're still gonna keep going with it, but yeah, they're busy with babies and other projects. Recently said they've been working on redesigning the main page and that they wouldn't abandon the site before putting out the last part of Stinkoman 20X6

Seriously, we at least need a Grand Finale. Maybe an epic adventure where the gang goes up against their 'Seriouxly Forxe" counterparts filled with gobs of action, funnies, and lourdes.

I've got feeling they'll return to the site once Poker Night at the Inventory is finished.

ah, sorry about that. but yeah.

Telltale's writing the basic script for Poker Night, TBC is just editing it, that probably won't take long.

The main reason for lack of updates is probably Monster Safari, writing a movie could take up a lot of time.

I'm hoping they'll be back in time for a Haloween.

What would be a better time to bring the site back from the dead than Haloween? Maybe they've been avioding assuring that they'll update the site on purpose so they can scare the hell out of us?

I kinda hope that they are making something REALLY big for the site's 10 anniversary, but that's just my little fanboy mind.

One of the brothers chaps had a baby in December, so that could be a factor...
