I found the gameplay unbearably boring. Literally. I couldn't bear it and just got someone else to play the game for me and tell me what happened. Seems like the plot started moving right before the end and then suddenly cut off. And then I traded the game in because I couldn't imagine having fun from replaying it.

Yeah, my friend didn't enjoy the ridiculously grindy gameplay either. It's kinda surprising, actually: I've never enjoyed grind-happy RPGs myself, which is the reason I don't play MMOs; and yet, I still find myself drawn to this game. Maybe it's because of the customization options; I've played Dark Cloud 2 and I really enjoyed the possibilities of the Georama system - which is why I got kinda miffed that a lot of the more useful Georama parts (like three-person housing) have to be bought with real money. sad Still, at least there are still other items for me to use - and from the looks of it, I haven't unlocked them all just yet (I'm only GR5 right now).

I need GR 7 before I can upgrade the Georama further, but ranking up does unlock more Georama items. The sad thing is, I really wanted to love this game, but.. I dunno. It's hard to get anyone for anything but Best Served Cold.. and who would do anything but BSC anyway, when it takes all of 5 minutes to BSC, but anything else you might try can take 45?

Forget it, I give up. I'm gonna trade it in along with Batman (I've done everything in that worth doing for me) and get FFXIII. I just can't seem to get into the online and the story was disappointingly cliffhangery. Maybe WKC 2 will be better.

Aaand I re-bought it and am considering playing again. Hey, I got it for $5 this time, I can't argue with that price. There seems to be a lot more new quests, supposedly now you can actually upgrade some classes or weapons and gear that were missing drops now.

But then, I'm not sure what I think about the plan to re-release WKC 1 remade as part of WKC 2. It makes me feel like we only got half the game the first time around, I almost feel cheated. And considering how long we had to wait after JP release of WKC 1, I hate to think of how long we're going to have to wait for WKC 2 to come out outside Japan.

I actually stopped playing a while back, too. tongue It was a combination of increased workload at my job and the grinding finally getting to me, to be honest.

On the plus side, if WKC2 does take a while to come out, that'll give us plenty of time to catch up with just about everyone who's still playing, right? tongue

So the 2nd game's been out in the US since September. Anyone playing it? I don't have it yet but I am interested in getting it since it's currently at $40 new at Gamestop.
