[up]The Chara World is a place you want to go to permanently apply a buff to that character. The 5000 mana is how much many you need in order get the upgrade that you are applying for. You will notice however that you don't need have the 5000 mana upfront to end the character world. That's because the character you are in will get mana from the destroyed Geoblocks and enemies killed. And destroying all the Geoblocks on a floor will reduce the mana cost of the upgrade by 1/10 I think. Not to mention destroying Geoblocks has a chance of making a Duplicate of your character to show up. Killing him with the puppy paw stick and you may get lucky and steal an item from it. And there are 2 more added benefits of completing the character world. 1 is permanent affinity increase by 1% for each cleared floor (like how mages have an Int affinity of 130% they could end up with 132% affinity). The increases are small but after multiple go rounds you could end up with a character with a max (I think) affinity of 255% which means they double the stats of anything they equip. 2, the buff is also forever so even if you reincarnate, they will keep movement buffs etc. Hope that helps.

I am not sure if it's the same way as in D3, but in D3 I am pretty sure the duplicate appears randomly. I found it on runs where I cleared every geo block and runs where I just rushed to the end. (I was experimenting with it at the time and didn't know about the geo clear bonus)

Also, depending on the character, you may not want to steal from the dup, as s/he has the exact same equipment as the character at the time. So if you got a strong item, but only one of it, you might try stealing. But if you are training up a unit who shares most of it's equipment with other units (because you have so many of them), stealing might be unnecessary.

Nuts, so I probably will clear everything then. Man...that's timekilling.

Luckily though, I discovered thiefs can make bombs. prepair that to be spammed. If I can't pass that skill on (symbol or inherit) and if monsters can bounce bombs...I'm gonna be needing a lot of thieves.

How do you unlock the seemingly random aplututde and evility blocks?

Anyway, I don't know anything about the pps, so bah.

Also, it seemed like val had gained 5000 mana when I was done. He had less then 1k when I started. It seemed like he gained 5k at the end of the run

And when's the best time to do an char world run. Before reincarnation, fresh reincarnated (meaning everything's level one and easy) or middle of the road. With those reincarnation costs, I'm fearing and having second thoughts about reincarnating without a plan.

Do character world runs at when the character in question is level 100 with both character world bills passed if possible (I don't remember the both of them off the top of my head). With both bills past, enemies will be in the level 500-800 area meaning you get 1000-1500 mana a kill (guessing here since I'm not sure if they changed the mana formulas). Unless of course all your characters are level 9999 by which then do it at 1000 to increase the mana per kill. Also make sure you do not use the character you are worlding in. You don't need them leveling up and in turn leveling all the enemies up in the world. Thieves are a bad idea. Since bombs tend to be weird and I don't know the damage calculation, your better of spaming 3x3 magic, big bang, Dimension Slash, etc, to the clear the floors fast.

What the fuck is a heart cannon!?

Yeah, D2 doesn't have anything equivelent to the Heart Cannon.

The Heart Cannon is a Evil Symbol in Disgaea 4. When someone attacks an enemy, and the member of the Evil Symbol can attack the enemy with a physical attack, they will attack the enemy after the allied unit attack. Even if they have already attacked that turn. I want to say there is a limit to how many times a unit can attack through the Heart Cannon, but I think I've had a Heart Cannon enemy attack enemies next to them multiple times in a turn because other units were also attacking them.

I don't recall if the first attacking unit also has to be part of Heart Cannon, but I don't think so.

Heart Cannon is great for going through the story stages and beating bosses and such, but kinda bleck for grinding (as it is very possible for the Heart Cannon member to steal EXP from other units by killing enemies if you put them in the wrong place) However, Heart Cannon attacks can be countered (and this means a unit can get into a counter off against the same enemy twice in one turn)

Funny thing with the Heart Cannon - I have Flonne and Rozalin do their Heart Cannon attacks from a distance, and I don't know what caused it, but their amount of Heart Cannon attacks just kept stacking until they hit the cap on amount of attacks allowed on the queue. evil grin

Yeah, the Heart Cannon doesn't require the member to be adjacent. If they can attack them with a normal attack, they will, even if they are on the other side of the map. I've had Valvatorez kill people I didn't want him to many many times because he was equipped with a spear (still is actually. Long story there) and ended up diagonal or two spaces away (and thus within the spear's range) from the enemy I wanted another unit to kill.

[up]Originally, he was just 2 and 4. When the remakes happened, he showed up in all the others. Since I don't have the PSP versions but the PS 2 and PS 3 versions (with no DLC) then I immediately thought of post story no dlc.

So I've been playing around with Disgaea 4's Pirate Tournament.

Some delightful player has created a Desco with five digits in ATK (but low stats otherwise), and somehow set it loose among the low level pirates. Evility shenanigans, perhaps? But "how" isn't as important as "why." Who does that?

Disgaea 1: So I am this close to the magical Cave Of Ordeals 3 grinding spot. I have one single question: Can the Prinny God ever spawn with a legendary testament and what are the odds?

Also I forget: Do spells ever become useless in this game? Because I spent several hours getting Tera spells on my (Currently Galaxy) mage.

As long as your spellcaster has the INT to use them, spells will always be of service.
