@D4 geo advice- ...huh.

I haven't redid the zombie one (with the two rows of zombies standing ontop of a bunch of geos, right?). I don't see how 4 different color blocks could eliminate 2 rows (of the same color) and those purple ones of no entry. The new Geo effects are slipping me up.

It also feels like this disgaea is tougher then the other ones I played.

(Oh, and a quickie for 2-2 when you revisit it.you can set off a geo chain that kills all the enemies, winning super quick. I just need to figure out how to grind that mana from it...do I get mana from geo kills).

How do you pass skills on, and learn skills not of your "forte"? If I wanna teach my fighter heal and my healer Fire (And you know, teach my M Cs buff spells). I hear char world is the answer, but I need to have 99 saved levels through reincarnation (right?), but ...there's got to be another way?

Transitioning from Dark Hero Days to This isn't as I though.

You cannot learn skills not of your forte. At most, if you stand next to someone in the same Evil Symbol group as you, you can use some of them, and even then, only if you are the leader of the group. The only way to learn skills not of the class forte is to know them when reincarnating into that class.

The game does throw you a bone and lets the Android learn the first skill of each weapon type, despite them having no weapon forte whatsoever.

If you can through Chara World, I wouldn't know, as I haven't reincarnated enough to unlock it. I am too busy trying to grind my way through the extra content.

You have someone stand one panel before the Zombies flood the area and just have him defend and take hits and let the other characters snipe the zombies from long range. A slow way to grind but you got to do what you got to do. Of course you can always pass the stronger enemies bill and do Stage 1-1 or 1-4.

Edit:Also, when you get it, ABUSE THE HEART CANNON'S ABILITY! I can not stress this enough. It will make the story mode soo much easier.

Geez, even having to ask how to eliminate geo panels means that you skipped the tutorial. Not too bright an idea.

You never skip tutorials in Disgaea if you want to have even a slight idea what you're supposed to do. The game mechanics tend to shift rather dramatically with each game so you can't just jump from 2 to 4 and expect to know everything you just can't it is impossible

...;_;

Despite 4 being a infinitely better game in every way, you could probably go from 3 to 4 and skip the tutorials. Disgaea 4 is better put together than 3, but have most of the basic mechanics like the new geo blocks and such.

Disgaea 3 had some good ideas, but the execution was kinda...bleck. Disgaea 4 uses the same gameplay ideas a million times better.

Compile Heart is updating the old character models and trying to reduce load time after battles in Neptunia V. Why can't other game makers (other than NISA and Gust) learn from their game making mistakes?

Nepnep 1 looked really bland. Nepnep mk2 looked more vibrant, but it was otherwise poorly detailed and eye-rapingly aliased. I do suppose three's the charm. *v*

I think my excessive Nepnep mk2 playing has impaired my Disgaeaing abilities. I keep rushing in and attacking even when I'm underlevelled. Perhaps I am in need of RPG rehab.

No you just need to keep playing Disgaea and you'll get back in shape. Because everyone knows that levels mean squat in Disgaea, the stats are everything.

Also, I just noticed how the advertising for Disgaea 4 put some empathizes on the new Tower actions...which don't come up directly in the game and are in fact completely optional and unneeded. I am still scratching my head on that.

Might as well advertise all the new stuff in game and show off a few attacks. Even if it isn't used a lot, it still worth showing.

And I just noticed, Compile Heart and Idea Factory don't have pages on this wiki. I may need to fix that. But before I do that, I must do the RESEARCH!

Risey-dear - I didn't. It was kinda late when I started #1, then did the rest of the geo tutorial the next day. I do think I got it, but I also feel like I'm missing something. If I have a blue and a bunch of connected reds, how do I destroy them all in one swoop? I went through the lesson, but I don't think I got it.

Meggy-chan - Thanks for the advice. I took that way by stopping one path, then putting Fenric in front and Val behind him (giving him that stat boost) and slowly killed everything with a red skull (who was running out of MP) as assisting, with eventually my healer + fighter double teaming the other end one on one. Took me bloody forever.

Otherarrow-poo- Oh, totally try reincarnating. It helps. My level 8 Val is stronger then my level 14ish from before. You only need 99 to unlock Chara world (Item world for characters, instead of units?)

Oh, and I know Axel doesn't die. You guys told me that earlier, remember? I asked that before and thought it was serious for a moment, then you all answered "no, he doesn't". I was playing up that "nobody knows Axel" joke (oh, and hey, Pink was here too. Awesome. Where did she go?). Though sofar, he's still very enteraining here and I can't wait for the Axel virus. I wanna at least lose once to get that ending but sofar I like him in D2 more then I do here.

Cause I could root for him a little more. I liked seeing his family and that whole "big brother Axel" aspect; that there's more to him then just the Axel we see (which reminds me, I still need to finish Axel mode. I'm at chapter 2, and I totally wanna see Asagi). Well, that and also of what he does in the ending of Disgaea 2. It's quite something to punk and Troll tons and tons of overlords to help (and save) Adell. Yes, he got his ass beat seven ways from sunday by the (generically) most powerful entities (We would assume) in the N1-verse and not only surivied, but saved the day and made himself a star again. It's a Crowning Moment Of Awesome in my book for pulling such a stunt like that and it actually working.

Yeah, no. If I recall correctly, the unique characters have a limited number of reincarnations, so I am going to make the most out of each incarnation I have. I've pretty much found an easy way to grind them up, and I don't need reincarnation boosts to get through the extra stuff anyway.

Appearently, It's not limited. It's just the story characters get special bonuses for the first five reincarnations...appearently.

Ahh....another thing is that I want to use a completely different set of characters then I do now. In D1 and D2, I used the fighters, female fighters, thief,archer, mage, healer, and I was pretty good on that and didn't expand to much else. I wanna change that. I wanna do use a totally different set of generics and a limited party (because when I get Loads And Loads Of Characters noone levels up)

...I wonder if that sinner/yasha class is still here.

EDIT: Hey, speaking of Fake Zenon, what info do we have on him? Is that way he looks... how the fake always looked, or was it him taking the appearance of True Zenon? Also did he ever have a real name in Canon/Novels? I feel like in my own story-head-canon, I feel like I wanna make my prinny him, (he did die after all), biding his time for revenge...I Don't know why.

Well, I am going to limit my reincarnations anyway. I like bonuses. Also, there are no Brawlers or Brawler equivalents (like Sinners in 2). Fenrich more or less takes their place though. I just used the generics they start me with. (Well, OK, I deleted the Skull and made a Mage. I like Mages more than Skulls!)

I think at the reveal, we see True Zenon's silhouette again, and it looks rather feminine. I think True Zenon looked like True Zenon!Rozalin, but in Zenon's outfit. So she was always female. We have no clue who the other Zenon is, aside from an Overlord.

He was the last lucky schmuck she was too jaded to actually finish off. In other words, he was nobody. Just another corrupt Overlord among the masses, just the only one to escape her fury, although through no merit of his own.

Well I know that. I just wish they at least gave him a name. They gave King Drake a name, and he is probably as nobody of an Overlord as it gets.

His name may be in a Disgaea art book. I know they showed Rozalin's mother in an art book.

According to the wiki, he was never given an official name in any of the media.

...It's probably something really unimpressive sounding. Like Steve. Overlord Steve.
