Zazza345 of the Nippon Ichi Forums has translated some of the character information on the website. Here's what he got for now.

Noire

CV: Asami Imai

Quote: " The way a Goddess does things, burn it firmly in your eyes!"

Description:

The Noire of the alternate dimension. Personality-wise, she doesn't change from the one of the other world. A big difference is that she isn't a Goddess yet, and she has friends. Typical Tsukkomi nature [term used, ツッコミ, refers to Manzai, the sort of Japanese equivalent of the double-act comedy, and represents the person acting as the straight man] .

Neptune

CV: Rie Tanaka

Quote: "Me? I'm...The heroine of this story!"

The heroine of this story. The tension has risen needlessly as she returns as the main character after two years. A bright and noisy personality that brings improvement to those around her, suddenly she gets transported to another dimension and also ends into trouble. No matter the difficulties or the trouble she gets into, she manages to create a relaxed atmosphere.

Purple Heart

CV: Rie Tanaka

Quote: "Even if I'm not in top condition, with enemies like these it won't be a problem"

The goddess form of Neptune. When she transforms, her personality changes into a calm, serious and collected one, completely different from before. Even if transforming usually is troublesome, against powerful enemies she changes into this form.

Man why don't we have good Neptunia fanfiction around.

Edit:Also I want to replace the current Mk2 image with this one with the caption "Is your Handheld as Moe as this?" Kind of trying to start a running gag on the page, but since we are kind of having a purging of certain kinds of images and stuff on tvtropes, I'm wondering if the image crosses the invisible line?

[up]You know what, I'll just leave it alone. When a gets taken down, I'll advice using the picture I have in my fold which is the same but lower quality and the title covering most of the skin. Anyways more character profile information from zazza345.

Vert

CV: Rina Sato

Quote: "Oh my, how horrible. Do you plan on leaving me behind?"

The Vert of the alternate dimension. The goddess of Leanbox, country across the sea. Unable to become dominant among the three countries [Leanbox, Planetune, Lowee], she moves to invade. Though she looks like a gentle elder sister, she isn't different from her other world counterpart, being an obsessive fan [the exact term used is "otaku"] of games and hardware. The difference [from the other world version] is the appeal generated by the big pride she shows openly.

Blanc

CV: Kana Asumi

Quote: "I'll just beat you up. So you won't feel like going against Lowee a second time"

The Blanc of the alternate dimension. Though usually quiet, when she snaps she is beyond any human control, like the her other world counterpart. Despite looking clearly like a child, she is the goddess of the only nation of the continent, Lowee, and she has ruled for a long period of time. Grows impatient over the birth of two new nations, Planetune and Lastation, and starts a hostile action against them on a whim...

You know, there is something about Disgaea 4 that I noticed that kinda interests me.

When playing a new game plus file, Vulcanus's name is written as "Vulcanus(?)" before the reveal, when on the first playthrough (if I am recalling correctly) it was just "Vulcanus". The reason for this? Because since this is your second (or more) playthrough, you already know who she is.

Well, more so than you did on the first playthrough. I think everyone except Valvatorez figures it out long before the reveal.

No, there was a question mark during the first playthrough too.

Hmm. I must have not noticed it. I remember when I saw it on the second playthrough, it caught me off guard.

It would have been a nice touch if they did do that, but eh. Nevermind then, my bad.

I recently started into Disgaea. I got the first two on PSP. Man are these games addictive. My only real complaint is the grinding time necessary for the extra content. I'm working on getting Laharl in Disgaea 2 now, but man is it taking forever.

[up]Increase the number of felonies on the character you want to level up and farm a weapon with Statitians in it. Max it out with Statitians, then do Cave of Ordeals 4 equals profit.

I always avoided felonies because the stamp is annoying. How useful are they?

[up] Wait. Felonies are an experience multiplier? This is awesome. Now I have to get all the felonies. Now I just have to brave the item world to actually use them.

Felonies being a EXP multiplier must be one of those things that they never mention outright, instead just telling you that they are good to get. Unless I am remembering wrong. I haven't played D2 in ages.

Be warned though, get too many felonies on Adell locks you in the bad endings if I recall. Wait, post game nevermind.

I've looked up what felonies do. Specifically, yes, they boost experience. 1% per felony. They also give a discount at the store and favor in the Dark Assembly. Coupled with ally kills, they unlock the bad endings.

Anyway, Statistician, eh? I'm gonna' go look up what that does, specifically.

EDIT: Statistician isn't in Disgaea 2.

I now own Disgaea 4 PS 3.

What is my first move now that I own it? I only have D1 abd D2 PSP as my previous forlays into Disgaea.

So, what's Disgaea 4 101

You can pretty much go into it with just the knowledge of the first two games.

The thing I think you need to know is that skills are bought and upgraded with mana instead of learned through leveling up weapon ranks.

Most of the unique characters are pretty powerful, so I'd recommend training them up. Generics are good too.

The game itself pretty much explains how it works?

Sorry that I am not good at this.

[up][up]So we shal move you to Disgaea 4 202

1.You DO NOT get much experience from the custom maps so just play those for fun.

2.In case you are going up against a boss and you don't feel like level grinding, ABUSE THE HEART CANNON. I can not stress that enough.

3.All characters learn their final evality at tier 5 (I think, my memory is kind of bad).

4.I don't remember the fomula for Magic Change, BUT, if you have to choose between losing a monster (letting it die) or using magic change to save it and buff a character, use Magic Change.

5.When you get to chapter 4 or 5, there is a great grinding spot until chapter 9 or 10. Both stages require moving geo blocks around in order to get the experience buff.

6.When you unlock the monster story character, you will discover that she is extremely broken, and you will likely be using her to pass most of your bills.

That's all I can think of right now. Ask any more questions when you have them.

The only grinding spot I found in my playthrough was in the final chapter, but I was able to make a custom map for grinding purposes that worked until I got to that point. Use of EXP + tiles can make up for the less EXP you get.

Heart Cannon has a bad habit of getting in the way sometimes: If a Heart Cannon member is adjacent to an enemy being attacked by another unit, the member will finish off the enemy if the attacking unit couldn't do so, stealing the EXP from the attacking unit. So be careful.

Desco is broken, but Valvatorez is moreso, especially once he gets Absorption. However, don't neglect the other unique units, as they all are pretty strong and useful.

By the way, in D1, does starting a new cycle reset the senators' kill counter? I know it resets the ally kill counter, but since I have never passed anything by force... (though I'm contemplating it for the very unpopular proposals that unlock bonus levels).

I've kinda spoiled quite a few parts, but not everything. Like that mishmash. I really thought it was going to be a very long time until I could get my hands on it.

I shoulda waited till the Vita version (which would also require me buying a vita, which I need for Phantasy Star Online 2 ]]), but whatever really.
