You are not the only one who complains about NIS's ignoral of Soul Nomad... believe me.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!NIS is all "If people wanted drama, they would have bought Phantom Brave!"
Quite a few people are speculating that the only reason NISA's choosing to localize CG now is because they lost out on the Neptunia niche, since Idea Factory got its own western branch recently.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyYeah, NIS America's lost quite a large chunk of their market from having to relinquish both Atelier and Neptunia in relatively-quick succession. Two stable series gone, and right before the flood of Neptunia games that would've been totally milkable (5-6 in the past year). Talk about poor timing.
But I thought they were filling the void with Kadokawa stuff. Demon Gaze and Natural Doctrine, for example. I guess Criminal Girls is an attempt to grab that same market, but I don't think it has that level of appeal.

Danganronpa is made by Spike Chunsoft, but NISA publishes it. But about Criminal Girls, I never played the original one, but it probably has extra things in the remake, as I am currently in the third area (second above ground level). The fanservice is uncensored in the Japanese version, but is CONSIDERABLY toned down in the western versions, but due to NISA and Superlative Dubbing, the script can easily save it.

Super Happy Fun Time with Monokuma, Lucifer and YHVHThey know that already. What they're talking about are the games NISA publishes besides the games their parents company develops. As mentioned above, thanks to losing Atelier and Neptunia, two series that they've been publishing for years, a major gap in their marketing has surfaced and publishing games like Danganronpa and the Kadokawa games are attempts to fill that void. Luckily, Danganronpa has been getting critical praise and selling very well (if I remember correctly, there was article that said that it's sales actually rival the sales of the Disgaea series, their Cash-Cow Franchise).
No, you don't want Disgaea's art direction to take a more realistic tone...
I wondered if you were Burningfist.
Anyway, Makai Dokis is dead if anyone besides me here cares.
What happened to it?
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Lack of progress, the lead doesn't believe anyone will actually do what they said they would a year ago, so it's dead in the water.
What did they say they would do?
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Write, draw, program (I think), etc.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyIt even comes with the portable version!
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyIn further news: demo details.
Demon Artes has apparently assimilated Magichange as far as functions go, Revenge gives overall stat boosts and extra skills for defeated allies (and is usable by enemies as well), and the enemy output is naturally much higher than previous games (so have fun with that new mechanic).

Fingers crossed for Makai Wars!
EDIT: If someone feels like digging through a bunch of Japanese, the original article is here.

I got the Vita remake for Disgaea 4.
It's a little off-putting to hear new Val voice actor and old Val voice actor from the same character.
And I think they nerfed Impromptu. Shame.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Google Translate: something about sub-weapons being a feature for D5, Kilia being intentionally reminiscent of Adell, and a vague desire to continue Hundred Knight and Criminal Girls as series. Plus Asagi teasing.
Aside from that, there's also numerous reports of the game's dub being bugged during gameplay, so you may want to be wary of that.

The main character isn't wearing a shirt.

Can you tell me a bit about Criminal Girls and what makes it good? The fanservice-y elements are turning off quite a lot of people along with what most people have seen of the battle system and honestly, I'm a little disappointed that the game is getting exposure over other games (Soul Nomad has yet to have a port yet Criminal Girls, which was already a portable game, gets one and I'm upset this is getting localized and not La Pucelle or Makai Kingdom), but the fairly high ranking it got on some of the dengeki polls makes me want to believe that it earned it's spot and exposure for more than just fanservice. I don't want to just condemn it, especially since Nippon Ichi, to me at least, has been known for throwing a few surprises.
