Heck, I've had just plain unbeatable maps show up in D1, where you literally can't get to the portal.
I wouldn't be surprised actually.
D1's Item World...needed some fine tuning.
My favorite is probably D4's. More to do, you can choose how you want your item to grow, and the random maps never became unbeatable like in D1 or stupidly big like I remember D3's being.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.It was definitely nice. Get rid of the item senate and it'd be nearly perfect!
Get rid of the Senate/Dark Assembly in general and then we'd be set.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.D2's item world isn't bad. The maps are all beatable and you can always get to the mystery portals. I think the greatest annoyance is that item spheres occasionally spawn on an island a single panel in size, meaning you cannot pick it up and get the bonus.
Also, I don't mind the senate.

I think the item senate is fine. I think many people who play the game just for the story don't dive deep enough into the item world to get to the item senate. Personally, the item is used for post game weapon and item stat grinding. I just hope the new dimensional sea doesn't fighting Pirates mandatory. Can't tell you how many times I've run into Pirates only to discover that I have bitten off more than I can chew. Then again, I shouldn't even be in the item world till I beat the game.

Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2...You can enter the Item Senate the first time you enter a Innocent Town.
Hell, I think the Common Sword and the opening of the Item World is the now staple "you have to get so far in the Item World of an item to get to this area" event.
It's not a hidden thing at all.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I should reword that last post. Most people should not dive past floor 20 of an item world or use the item senate unless you have Mana to burn or it's post game. It's too risky to do it early but if you succeed you can breeze past some of the early game for a while. I guess it's a high risk high reward kind of trade off.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2I have never seen an item world map with an inaccessible portal in D1 DS. Inaccessible enemies sure, but I could always reach the portal. Maybe it has been corrected for the DS version (and probably for Afternoon of Darkness too) ?

At any rate, though, NIS seems to have gotten far better at their opening animations.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyLamington! He lives!
Also, I am still amused at them trying to make like Barbara is going to be a major character, since the female Iron Knight (who Barbara is a headswap of) has already been revealed.
Also, red headed guy is playable!

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Good to see Lamington again. Let's just hope he joins in this game.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Huzzah. Lamington.
Here's hoping he's a recruitable unit.
It turns out D2's official US title is: Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness and will be released over here this fall.
So how long will this brighter darkness last? An hour? An afternoon?
Kinda disappointed they kept the potentially confusing main title, but it's always nice to hear about localization dates. Seems like the same time it took for D4 as well.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guySorry to be "that guy", but proof?
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.NISA Press event that just happend.

I liked how you linked to a random forum instead of the actual event. >_>
Also, it would have been nice to link to your source in the first place. Would have avoided the whole "Source?" exchange.
Anywho, yay more Disgaeas in a language I speak!

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.If I recall correctly, just about every Disgaea game has been localized?
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueYeah, pretty sure.
Well, there might have been some cellphone spin off, but no one cares about those.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.That thread also mentions a game called "The Guided Fate Paradox" for fall. I think we can all guess what that is.
They've also confirmed Toki Towa for summer, as well as its... non-existent anime?

I still want to see the actual event. Reading about it second hand from some thread seems like a tease.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.You assume it was streamed?
In any case, that's all of the announcements. Three games and an anime. They're also apparently switching to PS 4 development.

So basically, they decided to just merge Item Worlding and Reverse Pirating outright?
I hope it isn't as annoying as either of them can get. (Well, OK, Item Worlding has improved since D1, where it was possible for the game to spawn unbeatable maps that require you to skip via portal)
