The box seemingly has two Marth sprites.
wHAt dOeS iT MeAn?
Sword pointing up like that was originally Lucina's sprite...
Yes! M!Robin technically confirmed! That's one automatic main down.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!One part of me is asking "was Lucina formally confirmed?" while the other part is thinking "well fucking duh! They already said they focused on Awakeneing, Shadow Dragon and Fates. Of course the popular waifus from each three make it in."
Hmm... Okay, we know we got Corrin and while they technically are a "monster form unit" they still use a sword. A lot. And have the whole "partial transformation" thing going on and used for great effect in both Smash and Warriors, but I wonder: how will they handle a character that fights exclusively fully transformed? I know Tiki is in, based on the amiibo reveal, but now I'm curious: who else in the shapeshifter group might make it in?
Keaton? Kaden? Panne?
Japanese article about Warriors.
Only things I have info of:
- They were considering having customizable unit in the game, but was dropped.
- Class change will change the appearance of characters
- Anna won't be playable
- The roster won't be evenly split when it comes to where each character comes from.
Perhaps in the next game.
Also, here's another interview.
It has, among other things, the reasoning for the twins BTW:
Hayashi-san: Since in this game we were able to gather together all kinds of heroes from other Fire Emblem games, we didn’t want to create some kind of protagonist who’s too strong and would lead all those other characters; it just didn’t seem appropriate somehow, so we wanted the story to be about the other Fire Emblem characters who these two protagonists could learn from and kind of develop as individuals. That’s why they were set as a little bit younger in age than most lords you would see. Also, we had them look different from the other kinds of lords that we’ve seen in the past, and we made them twins because we wanted players to have an option of having both a male and a female playable character; that’s how we came up with the design and the background for these characters.
It also confirms local split-screen co-op.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Not trying to sound like a downer but why only use Awakening Fates and the original? The other games need more love
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Because if they had to use all the games, they would have to basically bring all of the lords, which would not only cause big majority to use swords, but would leave little in the case of class variety.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! That's not a good excuse, especially since Hector and Ephraim exist. Not to mention the og protagonists using swords
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!We don't even know what else they can do. For all we know, they can freely switch between different weapon types.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Hmm I guess. I will keep up with this game but I'm not very interested with the roster
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Probably a little late in talking about this, but I finally sat down and looked through the popularity poll for the Fire Emblem Heroes "Choose Your Legends" event and was surprised by a few things:
- Canas being only #113 out of 791? Unacceptable! He must be higher!
- Grima (#121) ranked higher than Little Tiki (#123)? What madness is this? Though I'd like to point out Adult Tiki is #26. Also, Grima ranks higher than Medeus (#622)...huh.
- Oh, and apparently Grima also ranked higher than Mustafa (#237).
- Panne (#94) ranked higher than Tibarn (#148). Not sure if "Rabbit Season Duck Season" jokes are appropriate here.
- I can see why people asked for Donnel (#23) to be in Warriors. Must've been the pot helmet.
- Both Corrins ranked pretty high: Female Corrin is #9 while Male Corrin is #41.
- Nowi getting #22 was definitely surprising.
- Valter (#317) ranked higher than Sacred Stones Selena (#318)...the hell?
- I honestly expected to see Naesala (#342) somewhere in the top 150. Surprise, surprise...
- Validar (#385) ranked higher than Manfroy (#684). Guess being a railroady GM gives you more popularity points than an incest enthusiast.
- Hans (#458) ranked higher than New Mystery Michalis (#473)?! I mean, Shadow Dragon Michalis got #407, but I honestly was expecting both versions of Michalis to rank higher than freaking Hans.

Marth
Alm
Celica
Sigurd
Seliph
Leif
Roy
Lyn
Eliwood
Hector
Eirika
Ephraim
Ike
Micaiah
Chrom
Robin
Lucina
Corrin
That's like 18 mainline FE Lords already. 17 if you discount Robin. And of those, only Celica, Hector, Ephraim, Micaiah, and Robin would have non-sword weapons as their main weapons while the rest would all use their signature sword.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Another thing to say is that they seem to want to focus not only on characters, but on classes. And if we were to divide characters into classes, or closest to that (taking account final promotions)
- Infantry: Marth, Alm, Roy, Lyn (honourable Myrmidon), Ike, Chrom, Lucina, Corrin (part Manakete)
- Cavalry: Sigurd, Seliph, Leif, Eliwood, Ephraim, Eirika
- Mages: Celica, Micaiah, Robin
- Armoured: Hector
Also keep in mind that all of the Cavalry Lords start off as regular infantry. So the problem isn't just the weapons they use, but the classes they would be. And there wouldn't be much room for that many other characters to get in the rest of the important classes.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Plus, they may just let Seliph, Leif, Ephraim, and Eirika be Infantry units anyway, which will overfill the roster with Infantry. (And in general, this will result in a lot of on-foot units which isn't too ideal when we could have balanced it out with characters that have horses, pegasi, or fucking wyverns!)

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!@Dragonfire:Ranulf would be a lot higher if they didn't separate it by game. He got around 3000 when you take in both versions of him.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Leif would be an infantry because Master Knight was a mistake.
Fire Emblem Heroes Code: 4547311645 Fate/Grand Order Code: 188037115He'd have 3,128 votes if you combine the votes. Considering Soren got 3,470 through Radiant Dawn alone...I suppose that means we're never going to get the announcement that Ranulf was Ike's canon spouse?

The choices also make perfect business sense. Run the original game for the long-time fans, then pick the two in most recent memory (not counting Valentia, since it was in development when Warriors started) to pull in the newer fans. Yes, some stuff falls through the cracks by cutting the other games at first, but it's probably the most practical approach.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiStill sucks that they went through with this measure though but whatever.

Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!I mean, they're probably going to take at least some characters from other games too, definitley for DLC too. I hope they do branch out at least a little bit, this coming from someone who loves Awakening and Fates to death.
Seriously though, I would like to see either either Roy or Lyn as the first DLC character.
Looking at the Fire Emblem Heroes poll again, I noticed that Mikoto (#204) scored higher than Arvis (#214). I'm...honestly, I'm kind of surprised.
Agreed. Especially if sending the wrong hero against a dragon results in a one-hit kill. "You sent Sigurd up against the Fire Dragon! What the hell did you think would happen?"

I still want to see a Sigurd/Canas team-up where they fight a Fire Dragon and an Ice Dragon.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
Oh damn, that Dragonstone.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
