But Lenin was his last name. Perhaps you're thinking of "Vladimir"?

Lyn/Kent is what I ended up with when I played Blazing Sword, so my only advice is don't do that one.

Nah, that bit's fine. It's just Kent's really, really boring. I wanted to pair Lyn up with Rath, but he died got mortally wounded, so...

I got Eliwood/Lyn first time around because I'm a boring fuck. Then Eliwood/Ninian and Hector/Lyn in Hector mode because sheesh, game, I get it already.

I made a save specifically to grind out all the remaining supports (I snagged the more exclusive pairings during other runs). The complete log took forever and I was totally burned out on the game at the end. Never again (it's why I can't bring myself to even try completing the Awakening log, despite it being easier).

One character who has oddly interesting supports is Renault. Like, seriously, there's an entire story of intrigue to be told there, yet the main game tacks him on as this last-minute peripheral character.

Cleared Chapters 2-4 last night. Had to clear Chapters 2 and 3 the Virion way but Chapter 4 was really easy.

Also, I may be terribly late to this but apparently the RNG doesn't reset if you restart from a save point and perform the same action.

What, by running and kiting? No shame in that. It's a legit tactic.

And yeah, the battle saves also save your RNG list. This means that while you doing the same thing will have the results, if you, say, know that your guy would miss a 95 displayed hit, you can forgo action and manipulate it such that the next enemy to attack will miss. Note that whatever determines the randomness for enemy movement does not draw from that same list, so loading from battle save isn't always going to get you the exact same scenario.

I was trying to make a reference to Virion's B support with Robin where he wins a chess game by sacrificing his pieces and notes that if he did that in a real battle, his own men would have his head on a pike.

But yeah I guess that would work too. Oh well, water under the bridge.

Ah, I don't think I've seen that one. Interesting how he says that, though, since Robin is basically forced to do that a couple times during Valm.

I think I paired Lyn/Hector the one time I played the game all the way through, and planned to do Lyn/Rath the next one.

Also, fuck. I have to restart Radiant Dawn. Because apparently I completely lost my mind and forgot to recruit Haar. :/

I've done a whole bunch on FE 7 on my copy that I got through perfectly legal means. Then it came out on the Wii U VC, and I stopped playing that. I'll probably try and complete all supports when I eventually get it. I'm almost completely done in Sacred Stones.

Apparently the games he made after he left Intelligent Systems were pretty bad, so I wouldn't hold my breath. Just because you're the "creator of X" doesn't mean you did all that on your own without a good team behind you, possibly reigning in your worst impulses.

Doujinshi is a term referring to any amateur-produced work in Japan, usually sold at conventions, be it original or derivative. It's not necessarily pornographic, though to be sure, a lot of doujinshi works are.

Oh.

Why do I so often see it used as a synonym for eroge stuff, then?

It's like if people started equating "indie" and "porn"

TRS and BS were considered bad? The two people who played them here or at Serenes (probably the same two guys) seemed to consider them better than their contemporary FE efforts.

Though TRS being a FE game originally is extremely obvious.

Fun fact: I think it's rumored that TRS was recycled from scrapped ideas from FE 64 (of course, rumor says that Thracia 776, Binding Blade, and even Path of Radiance were based on the scrapped 64)

Correction: A doujinshi is any work sold directly and not via commercial publishers. The people behind the game could be the biggest names in the industry but it'd still be a doujinshi if it wasn't distributed by a commercial publisher.

Meanwhile, an indie game is simply a game made by a small group of people (usually) without the financial support of a publisher.

As for why doujinshi is often seen as synonymous with hentai, it isn't. However, practically all (if not all) hentai is doujinshi but not all doujinshi is hentai.
