Fire Emblem

The game doesn't save after you beat the final chapter. It only tracks stuff like Renown and dumps you back to just before the final chapter with the stats, equipment, money, etc that you had just before starting the final chapter.

This is standard fare for many games now. Especially those that have DLC which is almost every game.

So, how long did it take you to complete Awakening and the other games?

Currently I'm at 61:31 for Awakening.

For Radiant Dawn, it was about 40 hours.

Ugh. I went through 4 different saves and I still don't have the DLC. Something about "incompatible save data" means I get everything else except the DLC.

It's not like I need the bonus items, but the bonus chapters would have been nice to have for additional story content.

I've dumped over 130 hours into one file on Awakening.

I have 300 hours on record. A lot of its idle time though. I have only 2 playthroughs which don't exceed 100 hours together.

109 on my main file.

I think I have around 200 hours or so on Awakening.

My total playtime should be around 300 hours spread across eight or so runs (although most of it is spent on my file that has my StreetPass team).

Lives, what are those?

I actually haven't touched it in forever since I kinda burnt myself out on it.

I haven't played it since Pokemon XY came out.

I have no idea what total hours I've put into Awakening or Radiant Dawn (although, I'd imagine at least 200 for each game). A typical offline run takes me anywhere from 2 to 10 hours in Awakening and 15 to 30 for Radiant Dawn. Awakening (the non-speedrun run, anyway) and Radiant Dawn have taken longer on-stream because I've been showing off the story.

I got burned out on Awakening after spending forever grinding my way to a high enough level to beat Apotheosis, and then I just kinda gave up. I went back to it and started my grindless run after a few months and have been going back to it sporadically ever since.

I got a bit burned out after grinding for Future Past's complete story and Apotheosis secret route too. It's part of why I went to the Tellius games again because I still wanted Fire Emblem, but not Awakening, for a while. That Apotheosis file is gonna be a permanent fixture in case I want to do it again so that I can avoid the grinding typically involved. Or, if I ever decide to do it on another file, that file will take the no grind Apotheosis optimization route from the start of the game.

right now I have about 60+ hours for Awakening on one file

halfway through Binding Blade right now at about 13 hours

I really want to play Shadow Dragon and New Mystery again but I must finish Binding Blade first

What difficulty mode are you on?

I'm about to start my second run now that I finally beat Pokemon Y. Hard mode, female Avatar, low grind, eugenic pairings.

It's my very first time playing Binding Blade, so no Hard mode. I've been playing blind for the most part, I've only looked up how to recruit certain units, nothing else.

I know that you have get the side chapters in order to obtain the Divine Weapons and access the true ending. At least the game is kind enough to tell you if you missed the chance to access them. I went over the turn count for 12x, so I had to redo Chapter 12, ugh.

Just finished Chapter 14 and heading into 14x. Didn't have the time or the patience to find much hidden treasure. All I found were the Silence staff, Boots, and a Guiding Ring.

Yeah, for most side chapters, if you miss the turn count, the boss of the side chapter shows up with text indicating that you missed something. I find that to be pretty cool. Gameplay and Story Integration is one of my favourite things.

Question: Which Morgan is the most gamebreakingly powerful?

A third gen one, coming from a carefully crafted avatar and an optimally fathered second gen children. Vaike!Gerome and +Str -Mag Avatar can give you a Morgan with a +11 strenght modifier, for example.

Depends on what you want to break with Morgan. To obliterate the campaign, a second gen +Def or +Spd will embarrass just about anything on any difficulty. For postgame, I believe third gen optimized for +Mag is considered the ultimate wrecker of faces.

+Mag would have Ricken!Laurent as the father, right?

Yeah, that'll grant him a +10 to Magic.

And Ricken!Noire will also get you a Female Morgan with +10 to Magic.
