We could see a reference to it in something else. Though the most we're likely to get is a Wa HH panel where Clownpiece appears in the background with a bandage on her head.
From their description (poisonous apart from the flesh of the berries), plus the way they look, I'd've said it's yew.
I'm not a botanist, and honestly I wasn't sure how to translate it, but they (both the characters and the narration box) say イチイ, which my dictionary says is "1. Quercus gilva (species of oak)". I googled it and found like a travel log of botanists who seemed to like the fruit of Quercus gilva, so I figured that was good enough.
I feel like it's just a plant that's relatively unknown in the Western world?
Edit: I couldn't exactly have Luna throw out a Latin name for the plant, so I went with oak berries. If those don't exist, then just assume Luna is an idiot.

...pretty sure that's not close enough.
Anyway, if you google image search for Quercus gilva, eventually you'll find some low-rez pictures of red berries.
...But if you google イチイ you get the yew. Huh. My dictionary lied to me.
Hmm... I could make a version 2, but fiddling with the manga reader website would both break a lot of links and possibly even make it unreadable because of how the site is set up (only "new" chapters are readable without logging in).
Okay, I did it. There is now a version 2 with improved botany and also fixed a type on page 17.
I'm expecting it to be something benign, like getting Clownpiece to meet new people and socialise with others. Not planning an invasion or the like.

That's what I figure.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. And here I was already with pictures of Japanese yew berries to prove my point further...
Heart of StoneI'm expecting it to be something benign, like getting Clownpiece to meet new people and socialise with others. Not planning an invasion or the like.
I agree, yeah. Would be the most Touhou-like, wholesome thing. Maybe it's a kind of "friendly" invasion of sorts, where Heca wants to peacefully integrate more of her Hell subjects into Gensokyo society, to give them a sort of "vacation", or better life, or whatever, and Clown Girl is the first test subject to see how compatile the two worlds are? That seems like it could be a possibility; also very cool, imagine MORE Hell Fairies, or all manner of Greek creatures in Gensoyo!! Those sort of things have certainly happened before, with the Goblins, for instance.
Now, just to play Devil's Advocate, if you wanted to cause disorder and chaos somewhere, then Clown Girl (or, at least, someone with her powers to cause immediate insanity and aggression) would be a pretty good choice to do it. I imagine it wouldn't take many sudden, inexplicable fights between certain members of a village community for disorder, paranioa and mistrust to spread like wildfire and cause everything to collapse. A frightening thought, right? I'm really glad the Three Fairies put a stop to it immediately in chapter one. (Obviously, the above scenario doesn't account for Reimu and Marisa. They'd put a stop to it eventually, just like the Three Faires predicted, but I shudder at the problems Clown Girl could have caused already before she was finally stopped...)
"Mystia is a former German nun“ -Clarste //// "[...]collectively, we have the power to destroy the Aki sandwich" -ClarsteInhabitants of a different dimension going to a vacation in Gensokyo? Now why does that sound familiar?

Murdering time and space. Now on Twitter. What's Fantastic Danmaku Festival like? I'm pretty sure it has the same boss order as Scarlet, but there seem to be a lot of differences as well. I think I'll give it a try, I just want to know what I'm in for. The bullet contrast is a lot better in my case than with Scarlet.
@A couple pages ago on Halloween music: IOSYS released a halloween themed album, although none is what I'd call creepy. Anyhows I like this one:
About creepy music for Halloween: I was cleaning up my You Tube playlists and ran across this.
I don't suppose anyone could give me a hand in this thread?
In January I tried to start a thread on cleaning up TV Tropes's Doujin-related pages (both to fix confusing/inaccurate information, and fix organisational issues), but it took months for the thread to be approved and it never attracted much interest. And now there's a deadline set on it.
There's a lot of miscommunication out there on what doujin actually is, which can have weird results for Touhou in particular - e.g. people not realising that it has any canon works, or that mess about fangames about two years ago. I had some ideas put together for a new page, but I've never been directly involved in the doujin world and was worried about putting my foot in my mouth - either getting facts wrong, or making it sound overly pedantic/idealised. If anyone could give some input before the thread is locked, I'd appreciate it.

Yamame's flag is pretty brilliant. I'm also pleased to see the artist hasn't forgotten the classics.
More creepy music:
Also, the newest Kappashiro incarnation has just uploaded a bunch of Halloween-suitable stuff. To keep up with the 3rd Eye theming, here's this.

And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!I keep forgetting Ultimate Truth from PCB exists, even though I love it.
Looks like 3rd eye is the go to theme to remix when going for creepy.

Murdering time and space. Now on Twitter. An excellent remix for this time of year.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.
The problem with these quarterly releases is that we won't get to see the aftermath of Reimu figuring out what's going on
Do wonder what Heca-sama is playing at
