Well, the writer would have the advantage of time and possibly outside-input to come up with said plan, as well as place obstacles in-story that would make the execution of said plan seem super-human in-story.
Actually doing that well would be another matter entirely, though.
, Oh yes, you make very good points But I agree more with Roxas: given a lot of time and creativity, a good writer who is serious about portraying a superhumanly smart char should at least be able to construct a scheme/plan for that char that makes everyone in the audience go "Holy crap!! How could anyone think this up? I never saw this coming!" That should be doable (not for me, obviously, but, as I said, for a good writer). Spontaneous examples that come to my mind: Leto II's ultimate plan in God-Emperor of Dune (pretty much everyone in the Duniverse, actually); everything Frau Totenkinder does in Fables; the plan of the antagonist in Watchmen.
The thing you can do as a writer is to set up the premise so that the plan works, which can easily make the plan look far more complex than it really is. If you spot one part of the plan that could potentially have a secondary effect, you can change the situation so that that effect is necessary, so it looks just according to keikakuTranslator's note .
Check out my fanfiction! She is now.
THE END OF THE MASQUERADE TRILOGY.
Inside of this there's a lot of my thoughts on the end of this, but I'll get a few more out here.
While there's been little in the way of comments on my story since Otherarrow kind of just disappeared from the face of the Earth, sadly, I do feel as though I (hopefully) haven't offended anyone by continuing to post my fic here. I mostly did it because this feels like the best place to get attention for Touhou fiction outside of the Maiden of the Kaleidoscope forum.
I'm not looking for attention when I ask..."Was it annoying for anyone that I kept posting this fic here?" Just want to satiate some curiosity on the matter.
I'm not going to stop posting here now that the story is done, but I don't know if the next time I do a Touhou story, which is ultimately tying into my grand narrative of my main fic series Clash of the Elements, I'll actually post it here.
Truth be told, it comes down to the fact that where the story is heading is not going to be a pleasant one and while I want to assure people who may or may not be reading it that I'll be doing what I'm doing for the sake of telling a story more than any deep-down vile towards the Touhou series, I'm also ultimately speaking from the biased view point of an author. I got a while to think about this truthfully, but in the mean time this is basically the end of the Masquerade Trilogy...A good if not long three years of thinking, outlining, and writing.
I haven't been annoyed, but I do the same thing.
New Jetto Komusou Comic. In this one, mathematics and relatives.
The answer to Sakuya's math question is 12 minutes from when the first brother left and 6 minutes from when the second left and they will meet at a distance traveled of 360 meters.
took me a bit to remember who yumeko was
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaAnd near the end, I was wondering if Akyuu had set up the whole novel thing to try and get whatever youkai -clearly- must have been behind the inspiring story to confess/accuse her, so she'd be able to put the mystery to rest. And that's exactly what happened, though I no longer think that was Akyuu's original plan.
Truly, the most convoluted plans are the ones we make up when we expect someone has one. The best way to have a mastermind's plan go 'perfectly' in a tabletop campaign is to have an inciting incident, then just listen to the player's insane logic about what happened and why. Add a bit here and there, tie all their crazy theories together, and you can come up with a convoluted yet entirely reasonable plan.
Which is basically how I tend to write my superhuman-intellect characters: basically crowd-source their intellect. Put another way, even someone with superhuman intelligence may have trouble out-thinking a dozen intelligent people.
I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.Apparently Reimu didn't want to pay the toll
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I don't particularly care about shipping, but for some reason I just thought that if Reimu and Reisen ever gets shipped it should be called 'ReiGun'.
Murdering time and space. Now on Twitter.^ You and I are now mortal enemies over that pun. Okay, maybe not mortal enemies but that pun was absolutely terrible!

Summary of this year's chapter of Curiosities of Lotus Asia
So if the translation's at least mostly correct:
- Rinnosuke and Sumireko have made pretty good friends over the past year.
- Kasen shows up and it turns out Sumireko's been supplying her with Outside World items. That, and Reimu and Marisa have been keeping an eye on her to make sure she she doesn't try any Urban Legend in Limbo-type shenanigans again.
- Sumireko's Sealing Club activities have begun in earnest, starting with Gensokyo's occult spots, which Kasen has been showing her.
- Sumireko is still trying to figure out a way to get inside Gensokyo outside of her dreams.
OMG thanks for linkin', I love all of this!
Also: YES FINALLY after sooo much time, I finally have an 10-minute-version of Kasen's amazing ULIL Theme! For years(?), we only ever had 3-minute ones and a like 20-minute one. I'm happy.

Oh hey, Strange Creators has an ebook version. People should go buy it.
Ha, it includes the protagonists rating all the bosses from EOSD to IN. Reimu doesn't even remember fighting Rumia or Cirno. She gives Mystia a 9/10 for the gimmick though.
As you might expect, there are new character introduction pages, this time focusing on the bosses of ESOD through IN. I'll be summarizing the ZUN commentary here, for my own sinister purposes. There's actually even more ZUN commentary on the bosses in another place but oh well. For the record, he says that Keine was the first boss he made using his modern sensibilities.

I feel that it's not actually possible to write a character with superhuman intelligence without it being just an Informed Ability, simply by virtue of the fact that Most Writers Are Human. If the author is human and they came up with the character's plan, then it obviously doesn't require superhuman intelligence, does it?
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.
