Yeah, I know. But I still think it's supposed to be Normal here. Maybe "Typeless"?
Yep, looks like None. Odd thing to have as part of a dual-type
I just remembered that there was a shop in town that sold accessories increasing Type damage, so maybe I can see a more complete list there. Unfortunately I'm not sure if it's possible to save in the demo (ie: I didn't) so I have to start over and rush through Route 1.
Okay, checking the shop, the types they list are:
- Typeless
- Fire
- Water
- Nature
- Earth
- Steel
- Wind
- Lightning
- Light
- Darkness
- Gloom (this is what I called "ghost" before)
- Poison
- Martial (I don't remember what I called "fighting" being this kanji, but I'm not gonna level up Alice again just to find out)
- Illusion
- Sound

Does the map blatantly resemble a map of one of the Pokemon regions, or does it seem original?
I make video games! Or plan to, anyway.I didn't really get a map. Maybe people are overestimating how long this demo was. The route didn't look familiar but I never played all the Pokemon games. I walked from Hakurei Shrine to the Human Village. The tilesets and sprites were all "old fashioned Japanese" and everything too. Doesn't seem lazy to me.
Oh yeah, I've been assuming people looked at the screenshots from years ago or whatever, but the battle screen looks completely different too. It's looking from the side with both puppets staring at each other with simple "idle", "attacking", getting hit" animations. This is more "Pokemon inspired" rather than the previous romhack stuff. No assets borrowed as far as I can tell.

Okay, some more type predictions:
- All faeries are Nature types. Cirno's Water/Nature, Luna and Star are Sound/Nature, Sunny's Light/Nature, while Daiyousei and Lily are pure Nature.
- Gengetsu and Mugetsu are Dream/Illusion.
- Yuuka's Dream/Nature.
- Shinki's Light/Darkness.
- Seiga's Darkness/Poison.
- Miko's Light.
- Tenshi's Earth.
- Sanae's Wind/Light.
- Chiyuri and Yumemi are Steel/Typeless.
I haven't played Pokemon in awhile and I was am not an expert on it as most people are. I just play the game, collect the pokemon and beat the Elite Four and that is about it for me.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."Well, a few types do seem to have very few possible characters. Wind and Lightning, for example; can think of maybe two or three each. Now, that isn't a problem for us just categorizing everyone here for fun... but in the game, you need a healthy balance of types for weakness reasons. I hope that's taken care of.
"Light" is interesting... might it be the closest thing to a type I'm quite missing here, which I would have called "God" or "Divine"? 'Cause no matter how you call it, you do need that for Touhou. ...thinking more... Alice was Light. ...whyyyy??
Typeless, aha, as suspected, it's Normal. ...whiiiich still works well for Reimu; completely not for Patchy. What is up with that?
Maybe Patchy was typeless so that she'd be able to use a wide variety of elements.
If "light" means "divine" then they might be playing up Alice's fanon association with Shinki. If it means "lasers," then I guess they're thinking of Maiden's Bunraku.
They shoot lasers. I very much doubt it means Divine because frankly that's silly.
Alice uses lasers whenever playable, not just one card
Looking at the type list, I think they went for things that make sense as attacks, rather than what someone might be. So no Faith, Beast, or Reason in this version. Losing Mind is a bit odd, though

Oh! Light for laser-using chars! That actually makes sense now. We finally cracked the Alice Type Bafflement Mystery! Steel for Equipment, Light for Lasers. Excellent. ...clearer names might have helped, developers. Oh, so Marisa might be Normal/Light?
...hmm, so there's no Divine? Quite missing something there.
(EDIT:)
Ohhh, I like it! That might clear things up more. Could clear up Divine... 'cause there's probably less potential Divine-Type attacks than Divine-Type chars.

Beast made sense in 1.8 where they had a bunch of Bite and Claw attacks carried over from Pokemon, but this one's emphasizing the danmaku thing. It's possible there won't be any non-projectile attacks, since the animations don't really support anything other than both sides taking potshots at each other.
Some arts.
Silverquest update also!
Dang that's a handsome Ichirin.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersFF5's male dancer outfit is pretty swishy◊
Better than the outfits dancers in video games usually wear, anyway.

Song of the SirensHave to agree there, Mr. Bocaj. Very gorgeous. But Not-Historical-Viking Unzan deserves some love, too

You know what also deserves some love? Aya Ace Attourney. Seen many Blind LPs of it already, already have another bookmarked for tomorrow. It's suuuper wordy, but for all I know, it's also like this in the original games. The art and music are nice and the characters slipping into the Ace Attourney roles is super fun. The challenges get pretty brutal pretty fast, but it stays quite fair.
A sequel would be really awesome... pity there isnt't one.
