To me it seemed to depend on the fanon-wide assumption of Ex-Rumia. Knowing that, I could enjoy the subversion of "this hair band hides an even youkai-y-er youkai!" I liked it, though the explosion of gore seemed unnecessary.
I also like that it linked Keine and Rumia's bows.
