Signamancy, obivously.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night.""We learn from history that we do not learn from history."
Those are the operating room lights, not a representation of Charlie.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I know, they just reminded me of Picard.
You know, compared to how Charlie treats his archons, getting decrypted by Wanda is a sweet deal.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Both the hands in the last panel are right hands. Is it an art error, or did they uncuff one of Lilith's hands and raise it at that angle so she could see it, or...? Could that possibly be Charlie's own hand, and he's somehow so physically incapacitated that he needs a helper to move his arms for him? (Presumably the red-gloved hand belongs to the archon in the first panel.)
(Or maybe Charlie just has two right arms. )
If Charlie is physically present I would be surprised.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."I don't think it's him, but he does seem to be there.
Charlie is present in the room. By all accounts, he was behind the curtains and joined Lilith (hence the "shhhnick" sound effect made by moving the curtains). However, judging by his text box, Charlie seems to be rather frail. One other clue is that he actually needs Fifinella to guide him, going as far as requiring her to guide his hand to Lilith (probably in order to perform either Thinkamancy or Carnymancy - the latter requires a direct touch in order to work well). We can deduct that Charlie has trouble moving on his own, and/or that he is blind. Now, we have to ask ourselves the following questions: is Wanda watching what is happening to Lilith through her eyes (because that is the perfect opportunity to gather intel, and Charlie probably doesn't know she can do that)? What does Charlie plan to do with Lilith? Can he harm Wanda through Lilith?

Well he IS wrecked by his magicopium addiction.
Hum? Was it mentioned that Olive managed to drug him too? We know she tried to kill him (and Olive loved poisons; it wouldn't be surprising that his current state is the aftermath of her unsuccessful attempt to kill him with her favorite weapon), but I don't think he is addicted to magicopium (well, unless I missed that). Even if Charlie was addicted, I think he is perfectly able to cure himself from such addiction (if he could "heal" Jillian, he definitly can heal himself).

IIRC he is or was gravely addicted to poppies but manages to survive.
Jillian must've been an easier case due to earlier stage addiction.

Yes, Olive almost got him. He apparently used Carnymancy (technically, he 'paid a terrible price') to delay his death. He doesn't even have access to the heroine buds anymore thanks to his deal with Jillian.
^ He did cure Wanda and she was pretty close to death herself.

I can't believe I missed the curtain. Of course the Wizard of Oz is hiding behind the curtain.
What can we see above it? It looks like some kind of piping to me, the middle thing would look like a blood pack if it were red in the middle.
Charlie: Not a nice man. To make Wanda react with outraged horror is really something.
Dangerous games. Is this the climax? Seems premature, and if it isn't the climax, this might cost Wanda and Maggie their lives and/or their sanity...
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Why Janis thinks Parson is a peacemaker is beyond me.
Wanda can sympathise with what's her name, the captive archon. Maybe a little too much.
And finally Parson learns what Charlie is capable of.
Oh, and Courtesy link
That is a fetching image of Wanda, I just say.

"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."They'll probably get shaken up, but not destroyed.
Honestly I've been wondering when and if Parson would lose access to his Decrypted. He seems to lose his tools as time goes on and he's had a very powerful one for awhile now. But I don't think it's really time for Wanda to actually die yet, so presumably he'll go for a withdrawal.
You know, if Parson himself sees what Charlie is doing here that would probably clear up his ambivalence towards the goal of crushing Charlescomm.

Well, depends on what is actually going on. After all, every ruler in Erfworld has their subordinates in a kind of mental slavery we would find horrific, including the one Parson works for. Charles is just a little more open and unsentimental about it.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Wanda has a strange relationship with her decrypted.
That outfit alone says a lot, it's the outfit Wana had at her original side.
"And the Bunny nails it!" ~ Gabrael "If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we." ~ CyranAre you sure that the horror is at the acts, rather than at the uncensored grossness that is the true nature of Charlie?
But that's just the question- how does he even know what a satellite dish looks like or does?
