RE gamers in 3-A: I can't believe nobody suggested Haruna yet. I mean, just because she's a manga artist first and foremost doesn't preclude her from having an interest in doing visual novels, and from there it's just one step away from exploring the rest of the video game world; I bet she'd have a lot of fun studying how some tropes manifest differently between the two mediums. And if she ever wanted to do an RPG Mechanics 'Verse manga, it would give her even more reasons to play video games (primarily of the RPG genre), if only to research all the mechanics that she would have/want to employ.
... Now I'm imagining her persuading Chisame to help create a web-based Animated Adaptation of one of her manga.

New random idea!
Latest idea is a Dresden Files/Negima crossover, where Kincaid doesn't screw up the shot and manages to shoot Dresden in the head in Changes. He is reincarnated as Ayase Yue in another universe where the metaphysical laws are radically different from his own, and grows up pretty much a normal girl, keeping the lingering remnants of his magic hidden since there doen't seem to be magic or wizards in this new world, and enjoying his/her second childhood... until she gets enrolled in Mahora and notices the huge honkin' magic tree, the physically impossible library with plants and waterfalls, and the vampire trapped in the middle school.

Well, Negima wizards are more free with mindwipe magic, so there's that. Plus given they'd be a child, Dresden wouldn't be as free to REALLY look.

I wouldn't say that Kincaid messed up the shot at Dresden. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe snipers are trained to aim for center mass of a target.

So they know that it is possible for magic to exist there (because they still have some) and they don't have the resources to look into it very deeply. Wouldn't the reasonable conclusion from their perspective be that magic exists under a layer of secrecy? You know, like it does back home. (Ninjas and robots and shit would still throw them for a loop, though.)

It's more like coming to Mahora shows that the layer of secrecy is completely transparent and made of sandwich wrap in some places. He's not surprised he can't find anything with the resources of a little girl and kind of lets it slide for now... until he sees the big honkin' tree. Also, they can't identify the local magic because they currently don't have enough context to see it for what it is, in the same way he didn't realize the Mothers Faerie might have intellectus until he got Demonreach and the possibility entered his worldview. Identifying fireballs is easy. Realizing the locals have a magic internet when his worldview tells him magic screws up tech? Something he has to be shown.
