Let's follow the path to the entrance of the forest, but first, I'd like to scout to make sure nothing super spooky's in there.

Roll To Dodge: Savral Turn 174

First time posts for this session require you to state a race and class of a Dnd/Fantasy RPG variety. This is an RTD with some continuity and I want to make sure you don't show up with space-themed stuff when that doesn't fit with the general theme. I also recommend reading through my previous posts to get a sense of how I run things and some of the things you don't want to do. You'll also get a sense of the stuff that's going on by doing so.


BC The Entity (1): You attempt to detach the umbilical cord from your body, but the moment you reach your arms for it, it levitates itself up and then wraps itself around your arms and legs. You then try to leap out of the cocoon to examine the others, but you slip over and fall when your feet land on the squishy wet surface below.

   KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!   


Kilgore Trout (5): [[evil: Well fuck! Fine, here’s a free goddamn heal! I honestly would’ve preferred that you’d burn to a crisp, but meh. The dice rolls as it rolls.”

You see a whitish mist form around you, and the fire extinguishes itself. Furthermore, almost all of your wounds heal up.

   You know, I could have some more fun with you, but that would mean I’d have to write up more crap, which I don’t really feel like doing right now. Let’s see if you get burned alive again in a couple of turns, okay? Later!   


Blackie (Free): You are now a dwarven moonshiner. You create alcoholic drinks to give yourself buffs and the like. You come dressed in a cloth tunic and carry six potion bottles along with a component pouch for creating your drinks. You also inexplicably have your crab claw hand.

You find yourself standing in the middle of a vast, grassy savanna. A few hundred feet in front of you, you see a large watering hole, with several zebras and giraffes standing around it. Farther along past that, you see a pair of small wooden towers bordering a series of tropical trees.


Jondanger 23 (6): You quickly attempt to shake some of the soldier ants off and dash away. Their heads still remain fixed on your skin. After almost a minute of running, you fall into a large, muddy river. After quickly trying to ascend, a hippo surges up and bites off your left leg. You are now bleeding, and you also notice several crocodiles surfacing.
Moocow (1): You attempt to use the totem, but instead you see several purplish tendrils extend out from it, and a flash of purplish light consumes your vision. You feel the energy being sapped from your body, and you feel yourself stiffen as you begin to take on a more corporeal form. You are now an ordinary human.

When the light subsides, you see the totem floating in front of you. It then explodes in your face, burning your skin to a crisp.


Undying Phoenix (5,   5   ): While stuck in the net, you attempt to summon an African elephant. A red summoning circle appears in the crowd of mermen, and they all back away from it.

“What is this?”

A few seconds later, a giant elephant jumps out of a portal that forms in the middle, and squashes three of the mermen.

“EEEEVIL BEAAAAAST!”

The remaining mermen run away in panic, screaming. Shortly after, the elephant uses its trunk to free you from the net.


Cybersbe (5): You sprint with all your might through the back tunnel of the cave, hoping the witch doesn’t get too close. The tunnel briefly swerves to the right and then returns straight forward. You see the light of day looking out from the end.

Now that you’re outside, you seem to be standing on an upward slope alongside a mountain. Several other rocky mountains loom out in the distance, with sand running in between them. A few small villages are gathered down below.

Wishing to avoid the witch, you step forward and slide down the cliff slope. Although such a maneuver would normally cause you much pain, your undead status seems to dull most of it. Eventually, you reach the sandy plains below.

Up above, you hear Jadice calling out for you, “Where are you, you little wretch? I know you’re hiding somewhere.”

You feel a hand grab you from behind, and pull you back. As you are pulled into a tunnel behind you, a boulder is moved in front of you, concealing the rest of the outside world. You see a series of pinkish rune-like symbols blink on the boulder’s surface.

Your face is then turned right, and you see a troll holding up a torch. It holds its finger to its mouth, gesturing you to be quiet.


Philosopher (3): You walk across the mountainous terrain and head for the abandoned village, which is surrounded by a crumbling stone wall. Much of the village seems to be made out of hardened mud-like structures. A number of piles of rectangular stone blocks lie here and there, along with numerous goblin skeletons. Occasionally, you find bronze armaments that seem to have rusted over time. You also see an open well lying in the middle of the village, along with the skeleton of a goblin strut along the edge. You also happen to see a few oxen skeletons. Most of the houses are rectangular in shape, with open doorways. Near the back end of the village, you see what appears to be the entrance to a mine.
Black Mage Anolis (5): You circle around the lake and walk over to the path entering into the darker end of the forest. You try looking around for any threats, but you don’t see anything. After a few minutes, the road swerves back left into a brighter area of the forest. A few more minutes pass, until the road stops in front of a large tree with a wooden door on it. Several windows protrude from the tree’s exterior.
Yoloifox (1): Temporarily ignoring the Midget Explorer, you walk up to one of the houses and start hammering away in an attempt to build a statue. The moment you strike, the house collapses on top of you, burying you alive.

You hear the Explorer’s voice above, “Ha! You are such a nooblord! How about I make you into my pet? That will surely teach you some manners.”

As you struggle to breathe, you find yourself going unconscious.

You now find yourself in a large cavern, with wet mud and dung all over the floor. All of your equipment seems to be missing, and almost all of your clothes are gone as well. You see a number of pigs lying around, and when you examine yourself, you also seem to have turned into a pig. At the far end of the chamber, you see a midget wearing a black tuxedo and a pair of sunglasses, holding his arms crossed. As far as you can tell, there doesn’t seem to be any other way out.

That feels much better! I go back into the room with the tunnels and staircases, close my eyes, spin in a circle a few times with my arm out and pointing, and then finally stop and open my eyes. I'll use the exit closest to where I'm pointing (not counting the door I just came through).

Okay shut up please. I'm the one doing things here now; you had two chances at protagonist, and both of them ended with "dead by witch". I mean- you are presumably a past incarnation of myself, right? Or I'm a future incarnation of you, but either way.

Alright, well, since I'm apparently still attached to the cocoon, I once again attempt to remove the umbilical cord and, after that, look into the other cocoons to see if there's anybody in there who needs freeing, freeing them if I can be reasonably sure they aren't going to try and kill me for my efforts. Surely I'll succeed at that eventually, right?

Blackie (2): There don’t seem to be any fruits in the nearby area, not even in the trees up ahead. You curse anyway.
Jondanger 23 (1): You cannot ‘Leeroy’ into the hippo, as it is too close for you to charge into it. You attempt to leap onto the hippo, but you find yourself unable to get out of the water. The hippo opens its mouth wide and then bites you whole.    You died.    Respawn?
Yoloisfox (2): There is no Midget named Ray in the immediate area. There is no reason to believe that the Midget blocking the exit is named Ray, especially since he lacks a rose.
Kilgore Trout (1): You never left the chamber where the tunnels and staircase intersect, and you never passed through any door. Standing where you are, you spin around a few times, closing your eyes, and try to determine which way to head. You accidentally crash into one of the walls, and the rocks above fall down on you, nearly crushing you.

   KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!   


Cybersbe (4): You keep yourself quiet, waiting for the signal for you to speak. The troll slowly drags you deeper into the cave. You can barely hear the witch calling out for you through the rock walls. After a few seconds, the troll manages to drag you into a somewhat larger chamber, complete with a small grassy bed. The troll grabs long stick lying on the ground, and then blows on it. Flame erupts from his mouth, lighting the stick on fire. The troll hands it to you and then whispers, “Go alongs the path. Theres be a greenie hole to takes you to the lands of the lizards.” It gestures down the tunnel.
Moocow (2): The totem transformed you into a normal human. You still retain some of your abilities, but you are incapable of transforming back into a lightning elemental.

You attempt to walk toward the general direction of the vessel of the old god, plunging deeper into the jungle. On the way, you see a large tiger blocking your path. It stares at you menacingly, with a red tint in its eyes.


BC The Entity (3): You take the umbilical cord once again and attempt to snap it in two. It now breaks under your grasp. You then walk around the area and try examining the other cocoons. They don’t seem transparent enough for you to see through them. You try poking them, but they don’t seem to budge. You can’t really tell if there’s anything inside them either.
Black Mage Anolis (4): You open the door and look inside. Along the rim of the tree trunk, a winding wooden staircase moves up and down, with lanterns glowing along the sides. However, after some distance, the lighting becomes obscured by darkness, especially as you look further down. Furthermore, you don’t seem to see any windows on the inside of this structure. The air feels a bit damp in here, and you hear occasional creaking.
Undying Phoenix (1->2): You attempt to unsummon the elephant. The beast simply blares through its horn. The elephant doesn’t really feel like being unsummoned.
Philosopher (2,   5   ): You try walking up to the various piles of goblin skeletons, but when you try applying your magic on them, they simply disintegrate into dust. While you could try performing the same ritual on the ox skeletons, you aren’t sure how stable they are, or whether something bad will happen as a result of your attempts.

Hopefully I can still walk. Going down a staircase seems like a bad idea right now, since given my luck I'd probably fall down the stairs. The passage on the right seems as good a choice as any.

I mix the ox bones with any goblin bones that I might have missed then try to create multiple ox goblin bone golems.

Alright, that could've been more productive. Unfortunately, whilst I imagine there are others within those cocoons like myself, I can't help but shake the feeling that trying to open them will result in terrible things for myself... which is why, if I still have access to any amount of magic from my past incarnation-

-I shall attempt to summon a vine golem to open one of them for me. There's no way that can possibly go wrong. Aha, aha. But, well, if I can't do that, I guess I'll move on into this... place. Yeah.

Blackie (6): You head over to the jungle area, and try chopping down some of the trees with your crab hand. As soon as you snap your claw through one of the thick trunks, your claw locks in place.

You hear some orcs call out to you from the towers, “Hey you, what do you think you’re doing?”

On the ground near you, you see several portals appear on the ground near you, and six monkeys jump out of them. They seem angry.


Yoloisfox (5): You go to sleep. When you wake up, nothing seems to have changed. You probably should have done something more productive with your action.
Jondanger 23 (4): You are now a crab-claw person ranger/scout. You have decent skills in tracking and are proficient with shortswords and bows. You come with a pair of shortswords, binoculars, and a bow and set of arrows. As usual, you have basic supplies, along with leather armor.

You find yourself in a vast, snowy plain. It seems to be daytime. Mountains lie far ahead of you, and you see a large, frozen lake ahead. Behind you, you see the beginnings of a larger forest, and smoke rising from it.


Kilgore Trout (6): You begin heading down the passageway to your right. It seems to go on and on, until it eventually opens up into a larger chamber. There, you see two large flowing pillars of lava on each side. There is another hall going out at the opposite end of this chamber.

Shortly after you go in, a metal door slams shut behind you, and the hall at the opposite end of the chamber closes shut as well.

After a few seconds, a large, soot-covered orc-like thing drops down into the center of the chamber, wielding a large steel warhammer. It lets out a mighty roar and then lumbers its way toward you. Ashen Ogre has appeared.


Undying Phoenix (2): You try climbing up onto the elephant’s thick skin, but you can’t seem to get a good grip. The elephant shakes you off as you try to climb it, and begins wandering off on its own.
Philosopher (1,   5   ): You begin gathering up all the ox bones within the area, along with the piles of bone dust, and place them all into one big stack. You then attempt to create multiple ox-goblin bone golems.

-KABOOM!-

The resulting explosion from your spell misfire sends you hurtling toward the rocks. Your vision now seems a bit blurry and bloody, and most of the village seems to have been leveled.


BC The Entity (1): Using what you remember, you attempt to summon a vine golem.

   Nuh-uh-uh! You’re being a very bad boy, BC. Didn’t you listen to what I said before? Your magic doesn’t work in here. I only rolled for you just to see what you’d get. Oh, also I'm going to turn you back into something normal because that elemental stuff keeps tripping me up.   

You hear Cathy snap her fingers. You are now an ordinary human.

   There, that's much better! You really shouldn’t try to break the rules, BC. Maybe you deserve a good spanking! KYAHAHAHAHA!!!   

Your right arm suddenly explodes in a bloody pulp. Furthermore, you feel the hard point of Cathy’s heel drive into your pack, plunging you into the ground. Shortly after, you feel Cathy sit on your back, and then lay herself across you.

You then feel Cathy’s firm hand slap against your bum silly while one of her feet holds your head into the fleshy ground.

   EYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!   

This treatment lasts for several minutes, and you don’t feel like there’s any sign that it’s ever going to end. But then it does, and then Cathy turns you over and straddles you.

“Remember BC, don’t be such a bad boy, or else I’m gonna have to punish you again! But you lyke it, don’t you, you dirty, dirty boy!    KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!”   

Cathy then vanishes into thin air.


Cybersbe (5): You decide to adhere to the troll’s advice and head down the tunnel. At some point, it begins to turn left, and starts spiraling downward. Eventually, you find a portal standing in front of you, glowing an earthly, greenish hue. You step into it.

You find yourself transported to another tunnel, where you see a slight glimmer of light up ahead. You walk forward toward it, and feel a loose wooden covering. You push on it, revealing the forest beyond. Somewhere up ahead, the forest clears out, and you can see a large stone settlement with kobold guards standing on top. You see a number of red banners depicting double-headed black dragons on top. Several caravans seem to be going in and out of the settlement, being driven by oxen. Occasionally, you see dwarves, shrumen, and goblins walk among them. Northward, to your right, you see the terrain begin to rise, along with a small wood-gathering hut.
