Ahhh! AHHHH! What happened?! Where am I? Where is the rest of my raiding party, and why do I have some dead cleric's memories in my head? WHY IS THERE SO MUCH TORTURE IN HIS MEMORIES? And who the hell is this half-naked dwarf?! Shit! Shit! What the fuck!

I don't understand ANYTHING about what's happening right now. This is terrible and awful, and I'm quite frankly terrified of the crazy lady who was torturing the cleric for so long. Seriously, this is the worst sensation I've experienced in a long time, and the worst part is that if he's anything to go by, I'm likely to experience far, far worse than that in the long run, if I don't just die from random uncontrollable bullshit. Speaking of which, who the FUCK is this Temere Numerus guy? He sounds like a completely fake god, and even if he did exist, I'm sure he'd be powerless next to my deity, whose name I am not at liberty to speak right now because of reasons.

Shit. Okay, well, I guess I'll read that book, then? The cleric's memories say it had a different title before, but fuck, I don't even know if those are real memories, or just random implants from the lady- would she even exist if those memories were fake? I don't fucking know, I'm confused as shit right now. Fuuuck.

I refuse to apologise for art.

I was once a boy... but now, I am a man. Or at least old enough to know better, anyway.

Roll To Dodge: Savral Turn 104

First time posts for this session require you to state a race and class of a Dnd/Fantasy RPG variety. This is an RTD with some continuity and I want to make sure you don't show up with space-themed stuff when that doesn't fit with the general theme. I also recommend reading through my previous posts to get a sense of how I run things and some of the things you don't want to do. You'll also get a sense of the stuff that's going on by doing so.

Considering how long this RTD has gone on for, it's getting to the point where it's difficult to keep track of what your character has already seen/known, even if you look back at previous posts. If anyone needs clarifications on their character's surroundings/what they already know, or if anyone needs lore clarifications, feel free to ask with spoiler text or via PM. Also, if you're a returning player who hasn't played for a while in this session, I'll need to reintroduce you to your surroundings, as you might not necessarily be in the same spot as when you last played.

Jondanger 23 (2): You run into the tunnel towards the fire. You enter into a large chamber where you see a fire extending over a pile of logs. However, there seems to be a large chasm between you and the fire. You cannot see the bottom of this pit, nor can you see a way across it. When you look over, you see a series of stones embedded into the cliff side going downward.
Cyberse (6): While taking a moment to make yourself visible, you introduce yourself. You then hear someone snap their fingers, and Enri disappears in a puff of smoke. In his place, you see a blonde, human woman who looks eerily like the statue you saw earlier, though with natural skin. Now that you can see her in person, you now see that her schoolgirl’s outfit is green.

She says, "Oh, hello there Cyberse. Don’t mind me, I just teleported your new friend right in the middle of his archenemy’s forces. Important NPCs seem to be dying by the dozens these days. Oh, in case you weren’t in the know, I’m Miss Cathy. Seeing that I just killed off the ruler of this here place, I’m gonna have to put someone else in charge."

At roughly this point, the two cloaked figures fall over onto the ground. Cathy snaps her fingers, and a cloud of smoke erupts from the center of the room. It takes about a minute for it to subside, and in the middle of it, you see a human man with his eyes ripped out stand up. He kinda looks like Russell Crowe in one of his getups from Gladiator. For some reason, he’s wearing a greenish cap.

Cathy says, "Well, I’ll leave you two to have fun. There’s no telling when peoples are going to need to be tortured. Who knows, you might be next...    KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Cathy disappears. The Russell Crowe lookalike pulls out a gladius, places it in both hands, and shouts, "AND I’M JAVERT!" He is JAVEREUGHHH.

BRaHiAn1 (5): You do not know where Tal-Uras is from your current position, so unless you try digging through stuff, you have no idea whether you have been near it or not. You speak with the shrumen. One of the shrumen responds, "Was it Al-Osam or Tal-Sajjuk?"

Digging through your memories a bit, you tell them you were at Tal-Sajjuk.

“That’s unfortunate. It may well be that our southern kin are dead. Though, this is the first I’ve heard of armored bears. Even we who dwell here wouldn’t dare go near such dire beasts. Though, if these are witches we’re dealing with, I wouldn’t be surprised they had some means of taming them.”

Another shrumen steps forth and says, "It might be late, but would you like to rest here with us? I’m sure someone would be willing to lend you some of their space."

You begin relaying everything to Melanie. She looks at you with a confused expression. She gestures away from the village, possibly signaling that she wishes to speak with you privately.

One of the shrumen says, "Is someone else with you?"

Black Mage Anolis (3):    I had mentioned you had a lance at the start of the game. I only use the items slots for listing the extra items you have gained. You’re supposed to remember your initial starting equipment. Oh, and you’re not going to grow back your arm without some healing magic. I guess you could say your arm would eventually grow back, but that would happen over a few weeks or months, and so far only a few days have passed in-game.

After hearing my wonderful voice, you roll out of the way of the zombie’s attack, grab a hold of your lance with your right arm, and bring it out. You then swing your lance forward and thrust it into the zombie’s torso before retracting it. Before you can make another attack, the zombie rolls backwards, grabs a hold of its shield, and puts it out in front. It starts edging toward you. By this point, your raptor seems to have stopped falling.

Philosopher (6); Corrupted Berserker (3,2,6): Dropping your axe, you run up to your old body and pull out your book to look for a spell that will allow you to summon a halberd. Just as you’re about to open it, the book flips to a set of pages detailing a ritual for conjuring some sort of ornate, reddish halberd. For some reason, the image of the weapon appears three dimensional, and not simply some two-dimensional drawing or picture representing a three-dimensional object. It seems as though you can reach into the frame and grab the object. Additionally, the ritual itself is written in Greek, and the text glows a hue opposite to that of octarine. Despite this, you seem to be able to read the text, and you begin reciting the ritual. As you do this, the text and the image begin fading from the pages.

You hear the unicorn say,    "Wha-what are you doing? Just stop whatever you’re doing and lets fight fair, okay? Stop that!"

The unicorn lunges out toward you and manages to grab hold of your kobold body. As you continue the incantation, you use your free hand to reattach your head to your old body just as the unicorn begins absorbing Chuckles’s body. You jump out of the way and retrieve your gun. At this moment, your golem rushes up to the unicorn and tackles it once more. The ogre-unicorn abomination slices the right leg of your golem off with the axe.

While your golem has the unicorn’s attention, you continue the incantation. For some reason, this summoning ritual doesn’t seem to be producing a summoning circle.

Then you look up into the sky. A great assembly of symbols and lines starts cutting through the night sky above as you start to hear some arcane chanting. It seems to be glowing the same color as the text you read just recently. A number of humanoid figures stand around the center, with a symbol above them. You recognize several of the figures from Earthen religions, but there are many more that you do not recognize. A great cross runs through the whole thing, with an emblem of a crescent over a sun symbol sitting right on the middle.

From the center, you see the reddish halberd descend. It too seems to be glowing the same anti-octarine glow. Time seems to slow down as it descends, and you find yourself unable to move. Out of the corner of your eye, you see that the unicorn and the golem seem to have stopped in their tracks. Once the blade is about a quarter mile off the ground, you feel your flesh become vaporized instantly from the halberd’s anti-octarine radiation, though for some thing prevents you from being disintegrated entirely. The outer layer of the unicorn abomination’s skin vaporizes as well. The ground starts to rumble, and dozens of trees start rising up into the air. The ground below rips open into two, creating a large rift with golden light coming up from below. As the ground shakes, you see your phylactery fall into this rift. The various foliage in the area begins to transform into some sort of crystal.

Your golem rises into the air, and it grabs hold of the anti-octarine halberd. At this moment, time begins to flow normally. The unicorn head looks around and then turns to you.

   "You…"

It shrieks and then attempts to charge you, removing itself from its roots. Just as you try to reach for your rifle, your golem rushes up behind the abomination, spears it in the back three times, and then cleaves it in half. As the abomination floats just a few feet in front of you, you see beams of anti-octarine light shoot out from it as it screams in pain. It then explodes in a burst of anti-octarine light. In spite of this, you still seem to remain intact, though you have been reduced down to your bones. Once the explosion subsides, you see a shattered, armless, statue of an ogre warrior. It seems to be standing on a pedestal, which reads, "Surt" in English.

Your golem then turns to you, and you hear a voice,    "Purify."

The rest of your bones then disintegrate into dust.    You died.    Respawn? Okay, I’m totally not going to let you get away with summoning/bringing forth something this broken in the future, especially if you request it. I just wrote this since I felt like it would fit, and the unicorn thing was going to die in a round or two anyway unless you got a bad roll.

Junpei (3): With the bronze axe in hand, you walk up to the door and try opening it. It seems to be locked, so you kick it open. The left side of the shack seems to be a cooking area, with a variety of primitive utensils strewn about. A wall separates this section from the right side of the house, which contains a closed chest, and a pair of fur sacks for sleeping. Another corpse lies on the ground, with a sign impaled through its mouth. It reads, "Praise my name!" A sort of cobblestone fireplace sits at the right back end of the house. Though the logs are extinguished, smoke still rises from them. Near the back end of the cooking area, you see an open door. Inside it, you see a set of stairs descending.
BC The Entity (3): Even though you see the face of the lady who tortured the cleric on the book, you open it and begin reading through the guidebook. There’s a table of contents with several chapters, but some of the later ones don’t have titles or page numbers attached to them. Chapter 1 is labeled "An Introduction." The following chapters are labeled "On Savral: Peoples and Cultures," "Beginner’s Tactics" "The Fundamentals of Magic: Basic Spellcrafting," "Advanced Magical Control: A Physical Perspective," "A Complete Beastiary," and "Suggested Projects."

You turn to chapter one and start reading. You should read this. It’s totally not copy-pasted or anything.

"But first, you’ll want to establish some infrastructure in your territory. After all, once you get a sizable force up and running, you’re going to need to maintain it. If you haven’t already, you might want to explore your domain and learn what’s in it. From there, you may use your magical abilities to construct whatever utilities you may need. A few simple ideas are outlined in detail in chapter 7, but you are by no means limited to these ideas. If you can find an application for your magic that suits your needs, go for it. Hell, you can start by building a portal network around your territory (Seriously, you should start exploring your land).

"But still, you should keep watch for other witches, otherwise they’ll simply conquer your lands before you can do anything.

"And remember, always remember to praise Cathari Sarad. It is always a good idea to keep Cathari entertained. If Cathy likes you, then things are more likely to go your way. And never try to do anything suicidal or tactically unsound like trying to take a fortress on your own or doing things that can only have negative consequences. While things may be beyond your control, Cathy does not take kindly to deliberate incompetence.

"Now, you may feel free to browse the other chapters, or you could simply ask questions directly to this text. This book is fucking magical so it should be able to answer any conceptual questions you may have."

As you read this, your dwarven sidekick starts chewing on the length of the shovel. Read on?

Mathleticism (5): You remove a spare dagger from your sack of generic supplies and remove the finger with the ring on it. As soon as this happens, the mage’s skin starts to turn back to normal, and his eyes go back to being derpy. He no longer seems to be choking on blood. He stands up. You then take this moment to store the mage in your pocket dimension using your binder skills. The fog begins to dissipate. As you’re somewhere deep in the forest, you cannot see too much. On the other hand, you do have a rough idea where you had originally come from.
Trip (3): Drug trip? What are you talking about? This is most definitely the real world. Everything you’ve seen is real. Why would you think that any of this is the result of some hallucination?

As you stand in place, the genie says, "You must find the next key to slay the jackal. You must find the next key to slay the jackal. You must find the next key to slay the jackal. Jackal. Jackal. Jackal. Ja-ja-ja-ja-ja-ja-ja-ja-j-j-j-j-j-j-j-j-j..."

As you see this happen, the entire room starts to flash to the image of a skinless unicorn inside some blackish-red void. You hear a high-pitched buzzing noise every time this happens. After a few seconds, your surroundings start to swirl together in a sort of bloody-grotesque mess. As this happens, you start to hear many voices speaking some sort of gibberish all around you. More images flash before your eyes, but you cannot look at them long enough to remember what you see. About a minute later, a door opens in the midst of the void, shining white light everywhere.

...okay, mildly helpful. What's all this about being a manslave, though? How the hell does that work? Also, I don't think I should let the dwarf eat the shovel, for some reason. I take that away from him, then return to the book and ask "What do you mean, "manslave"? I'm a wizard, not some random psychotic lady's sex toy or whatever. Also, why am I here, again?"

Roll To Dodge: Savral Turn 105

Junpei (1): Although your initial thought is to just go up to the chest, get whatever is inside it, and go out, you can’t help but wonder what’s down the stairs. Thus you descend. First, the stairway goes straight, but then it starts spiraling down clockwise. Every few steps, you see a torch illuminating the area. You descend deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper.

Then, all of a sudden, the stairs crumble beneath you, and you find yourself falling into some large cavern, with stalagmites almost everywhere. When you turn to your left, you see six, near-starving, humanoid figures sitting near a glowing, octarine flame. They turn to you and slowly stand up. Their eyes are pitch black. They also seem to be carrying knives. Beside the flames, you see a number of human bones.

One of them says,    "The Goddess! She brings us the gifts!"

   "We will feasts at last!"

   "PRAISSE BE TO CATHARI SARAD!!!"

You slowly back up behind you, and then you run into something. You turn around and see a unicorn standing behind you.

It says, "Boo!"

Cyberse (3); JAVEREUGHHHHHH (1) You stand before the Russell Crowe lookalike, ready to dodge if he attacks. You say, "I..."

The Crowe lookalike says, "AND I’M JAVEREUGHHHHHH!!!!!!"

He raises his gladius up high, ready to stab downward, and then charges you, despite not having any eyes. When he gets close, he sweeps down with his blade. At this moment, you simply step to the side and, in one fluid motion, pull out your short sword and slice his right arm off. He stumbles around for a bit as his arm drops to the ground. A sort of shadowy mist fizzes out from the areas of detachment.

With the gladius in his left hand, he points to you and shouts, "DO NOT FORGET MY NAME! DO NOT FORGET ME!"

Philosopher (Free): You are a doppelganger gunslinger. You look like some sort of gray alien thing in your normal form but you can morph into other creatures your size. You don’t have telepathy though. You lose your summoning powers, but you retain your truesight. For your weapons, you get two pistols and an assault rifle. You have a decent amount of ammo for your pistol, and for whatever reason, your assault rifle has a built in magic feature that allows it to auto-reload without you needing to reload it manually. You can dual wield any combination of these three weapons. Because you’re roughly fourth level, you get a number of goodies. First, you gain the trait Quick Draw. While wielding the pistols you can make a free roll attack for the number of pistols you have equipped in your hands. That is, if you have both pistols out, you can make two free attacks with them per initiative in addition to a melee attack. In addition, you gain the trait Two-handed gun accuracy. Whenever you are holding a gun with both hands, as in, you only have one gun equipped, you gain a bonus to rolls with that weapon. I should also mention that your assault rifle does more damage than your other two weapons combined. As usual, you have basic supplies and stuff.

You find yourself in the middle of a grassy, hilly clearing bordered by a forest to the east, with the sun rising. You see a few trees growing on the hills beside you as well. A small stream cuts across the landscape, west to east, and goes into the forest. Right beside you to your left, you see a collapsed stone bridge. A long dirt road curves north to south. You see a great pile of ice shards, rotting flesh, and exposed bones lying on the ground before you. They seem to belong to goblins and humans. From their gear, most of them seem to be bandits, and there doesn’t seem to be anything of value.

BRaHiAn1 (6): After speaking, you walk over to Melanie and ask her if you should tell the shrumen she’s there.

She says, "I’d rather stay back to be honest. I get the feeling that these people won’t like us very much if we stay around for very long. I mean, if they met the queen, I get the feeling they’d think she’s this witch person you were talking about. I can’t trust anyone who would say that about our queen. And why were you mentioning unicorns like they were a bad thing? The goddess Cathari had created them to be our guardians and protectors. The goddess is good and just. If you say bad things about her or the unicorns, you’ll be punished for your sins."

Another voice cuts in, "Yeah, that’s right Brah. Besides, that’s kinda racist against unicorns if you know what I mean. I mean, sure, maybe you might have had a few bad experiences with them, but we’re not all bad. We just want to bring peace and harmony to the world."

You turn left in the direction of the voice, and you see a unicorn standing next to the two of you.

"Hai Brah!    KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

You hear a shrumen child say, "That bird-lady is a witch!" All of the other shrumen start shouting "Witch!" as they scramble around for some weapons.

Black Mage Anolis (4): You keep the point of your lance out in front, ready to strike should the zombie come close. It steadily approaches you with its shield up front. Once it gets close enough, it tries using its shield to knock your lance out of your hands. However, anticipating this, you pull your lance back. It then starts to run in to spear you with its blade. You then turn your lance forward, and lunge it through its arms and torso just as it swings back to strike. The zombie then lets out a groan and then drops its sword and shield. You pull out your weapon, using your leg to kick the zombie off, and it falls over onto the ground. You see a whitish mist erupt from it and then disappear.
Mathleticism (1): Seeing that this black ring is likely a useful magical item, you go ahead and pick it up. As nothing bad seems to happen when you touch it, you put it on your own fingers. Nothing bad so far.

A few seconds later, you hear a deep voice call out to you in all directions,    "Arcane signature matching. Commencing termination."

All of a sudden, you start to feel abnormally drowsy. You feel thousands of needles prick through the skin enveloped by the ring. Starting from that point, your blood begins to feel like it’s on fire. At the same time, you find yourself gradually losing energy until your limbs grow limp. You start to choke and spit out blood. You then collapse onto the ground.    You died.    Respawn?

BC The Entity (5): You walk up to the dwarvf and take the shovel away from him. He frowns and then walks out the door. You turn back to the book and ask it your question. It opens up to a random page. On it, you see a picture with the caption, "An example of how to treat your typical stupid manslave." The picture depicts your cleric self completely nude except for a collar tied onto a leash, which Cathy is holding. Additionally, Cathy is stepping onto your cleric self’s back with her left foot, driving him into the ground. You see her holding a whip in her right hand. She seems to be quite happy in this picture. You see a quote bubble coming out of Cathy saying, "My laugh is the greatest!    KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

The text reads as follows: Click me!

Anyway… functionally, a manslave is the same thing as a witch. It’s basically a title that goes over your class. Like a witch, a stupid manslave also gets some territory to themselves that Cathy spawns somewhere on the world. Usually this is somewhere close to the main continent. In order to become a manslave or a witch, one must make a pact with me, the Great and Powerful Cathari Sarad. Like I said before, a manslave is basically a witch, I just like to call some peoples that for fun!    KYAHAHAHAHA!!!

So, you get this little island to yourself, and it becomes your home base for the rest of your time here in Savral until you somehow break the pact. You have quick and ready access to the rest of the continent, and you’re free to go all Minecraft and pimp out your place until you’re satisfied. The guide exists to help you do that, as it’ll help you do magic and stuff and it’ll teach you how to craft your own spells. The idea is to build up a lair to the point where you can recruit your own minions and develop stuff. Or, you could just head right back through the portals and watch the world’s events unfold as everything goes to complete oblivion. The whole island base thing wasn’t the best of ideas as the world events are more interesting.

Oh, and obviously, you get this book. It has a bunch of different stuff, like this entry for instance! You could probably go through it and look up whatever you need to know going into the different territories. And you can look up different NPCs to see just what kind of bullshit I spout out.

Trip (4): You step into the bright light.

You wake up on a bed in the middle of a large chamber lined with obsidian and marble. A series of glowing orbs embedded into the ceiling illuminates the room. A stonework table sits to your left, holding most of your equipment. Additionally, you see the red and green gemstones you had found in your drugged/dream state resting beside your belongings. A double-door sits at the end of the room ahead of you, in between two cthuloid statues.

An overseer floats into your sights and says, "Good morning, Trip. You were knocked out for quite some time. Right now, it’s two hours past dawn. Most likely, the Grand Matriarch had swapped out the potion you were supposed to take before the Empress could stop you. There isn’t much we could have done.

"Before we get back to your original task, there’s a few things we’d like to ask you. While you were unconscious, your brain seemed to be emitting abnormally high amounts of arcane energy. We know that strange admixture was somehow responsible for it, but we don’t quite understand exactly what it did. You see those two crystals on the table beside you? Those manifested at different times during your rest. What exactly did you experience? If we could understand the admixture the Grand Matriarch has left us, we might be able to make use of it.

"We’ve also received some additional information regarding your incursion into the Laguz peninsula. About ten hours ago, one of our logging crews had run into a drow mage trying to spy on our encampment. During the encounter, the mage had taken control of one of our own mages and tried bringing him to the Laguz encampment. Luckily, we managed to eliminate him when he tried putting on one of our rings, but the mage has gone missing. The enemy may be trying to interrogate him as we speak. It’s very likely that one of the witches are acting within that territory and bolstering the natives’ forces with drow regiments. In addition to your previous tasks, we’d like for you to bring back the mage if possible and figure out where the drow base is and which one of our enemies is leading them. Any further questions?"

Jondanger 23 (3,5): Despite the size of the chasm, you step back a little and then try leaping to the other side. Just when you get a quarter of the way across, it’s readily apparent you’re not going to get to the other side. Even as you’re moving forward, you keep falling and falling. The chasm seems to go down forever. Down below, you see a little ledge on the opposite side. Once you finally reach the opposite side, you grab onto the dirt-rock wall face to slow your descent. The dirt and rock crumbles away, burning your palms. You then drive your feet into the wall as well, for despite the burning pain in your hands, they don’t seem to have eroded away. After about thirty seconds, you land on top of the platform. You get up and have a look around in the immediate area. The stepping stones on the other side continue to descend downward. You still cannot see the bottom. However, to your left, the ledge continues on for a bit as the ravine extends onward in both directions. A few glowing, crystaline, bell-like structures hang high above on what is presumably the roof of this deep cavern. Every few seconds, you hear water dripping. Unfortunately, the cavern isn’t illuminated enough for you to see far in front of you.

Philosopher tilted the hat on his head to keep the sunlight out of his eyes. The road would lead to civilization, but the bridge was a strange sight. Whatever evil befell these wicked men would have traveled the roadway. The bridge was water to his curiosity. His form shifted to that of a man's as the gunslinger traveled past the bridge.

Uh, Tempting Fate aside, I kinda specified that I did NOT want to touch the ring, just a description. Just saying that if it affected anything. But if I am still dead...

Respawn!

"W-wait, no! No, I'm not a witch! The unicorns are just... I dunno, it's like they're following me! Like every time things just barely start to settle down, they're onto me like a pack of assorted carnivorous animals and wreak havoc everywhere, but I promise I'm not with them!"

Be sure not to relay any of that to Melanie.

Also, I should probably think about what Melanie said there. Maybe I have been subconsciously prejudiced.

Guardians and protectors, huh? They sure haven't been acting like guardians and protectors every time they've been around. Then again, it might just be cause I overreacted when that one kicked me in the shins? Except they've kinda been wreaking havoc for all the other players too, so I'm not too inclined to believe them.

The goddess Cathari is good and just. Now, if I remember correctly, the goddess utterly destroyed the old world and reshaped it entirely in her image. Would a good and just goddess do that? I'm not so sure, but I'm kinda leaning towards no. Then again, any gods that are truly good and/or just are nigh unheard of, so maybe that's just standard goddess fare.

And lastly, I'm not sure the unicorns would be cackling in evil text if they really wanted to bring peace and harmony to the world.

So I think it's decided: Keep hating unicorns. Maybe not Cathy specifically, but definitely the unicorns.

i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apart

...I'm not sure I want to be a manslave, if it involves having that happen to me. But for now, if reading through this apparently innocuous manual that changes what it says occasionally will allow me to learn more stuff about magic and/or better analyse the threats I might be faced with as a... uuuugh, "manslave", which I'm not because I'm ALREADY A WIZARD YOU EVIL CRAZY LADY, maybe I'll read through the chapters and possibly learn some new skills or whatever. Hey, it's worth a shot, right?

I was once a boy... but now, I am a man. Or at least old enough to know better, anyway.

Roll To Dodge: Savral Turn 106

Jondanger 23 (1, 2): You turn left and begin walking forward. You accidentally press your hand against the wall and begin to tip over. Once again, you start falling. You keep falling and falling. There doesn’t seem to be an end to this chasm. After about two minutes, you see the ground underneath you. Splat!    You died.    Respawn?
Philosopher (5): I just realized while writing this that I have no idea how to determine which path you wanted to take from your text. Your entry was one of the last entries I wrote, so I didn’t have time to clarify this. You morph into a human, with a basic tunic, and travel down the road, away from the bridge. As you travel south, the forest starts to extend farther and farther west, until the road eventually goes into the forest and starts to curve right. Eventually, you come to a fork in the road, with a four-part sign sitting to your right. The top three parts have an arrow pointing in each of the three directions of the road intersection. Although the language initially eludes you, somehow manage to figure out what the signs say. The one pointing in the direction you came from reads, "Erist." The one pointing east says, "Kelstan" while the one pointing south says, "Ivanstel." Up ahead, to the south, the forest begins to clear, opening up to a series of hills heading toward the coastline. Farther ahead, you see what appears to be a coastal town, with a single tower rising above the settlement walls. Toward your right, you see smoke rising from the trees.
Cyberse (2); JAVEREUGHHHHH (3): You stand where you are waiting for Russell Crowe to attack. As you’re too busy paying attention to him, you forget to pull out your second sword. He shifts back a bit, and then he holds his arm outward. You get the feeling that if his eyes weren’t missing, he’d be closing them at this moment. The arm lying on the ground begins to rise back up and reconnect itself to the Crowe lookalike. You hear him whisper something, but you cannot quite make out what he says. One of the cloaked figures stands back up from the ground and pulls out a shortsword. The black cloth covering its face falls down, revealing a mummified corpse beneath. It begins circling around you.
Mathleticism (Free): I know you didn’t want to touch the ring. You rolled a 1, so your metaself got infected by the idiot ball. You are a drow enjuhneer artificer. You solve problems. Not problems like what’s the meaning of life but practical problems. You make stuff with magic. Along with your basic equipment, you come with an iron staff that looks kinda like a wrench. You come with an iron golem escort that can perform lightning attacks.

You find yourself in the middle of a vast jungle. Somewhere ahead, you hear a stream running. It seems to be sometime in the morning, with the sun rising to your right. The terrain rises upward in that direction as well, and you see smoke rising in that direction.

Junpei (6): Keeping yourself away from the possessed humanoids, you stow away the axe, pull out your crossbow, and shoot the unicorn in the face. It goes right into the skull. The unicorn’s face freezes for a moment, and the rest of its body begins melting into a bloody pulp, which starts draining into the ground.

The pile of bones start rattling. They then rise up into the air and begin clustering into a column. A strange tumor forms underneath it and then explodes into a bloody collection of vein-like tentacles. These start wrapping around the bones, and a layer of flesh starts forming around them like a cocoon. Once this layer reaches up to the skulls, the grotesque blob of flesh starts expanding outward. The top of the column reforms into the head of a unicorn. The rest of the fleshy membrane starts to take on a cape-like quality as it starts turning a brownish-black. The others simply stand where they are as this is happening.

The unicorn says, "You know, I don’t really see why you’d be so afraid of something as harmless as a unicorn? We are good innocent creatures, so why would you go out and shoot one? You see, because you’d harm something so innocent as a unicorn, you’re nothing but a complete and utter sadist. You see, you and Miss Cathy are quite alike in these respects." Unimancer has appeared.

BRaHiAn1 (6): Shortly after you finish your statement, and while you do some pondering, the shrumen stop in their tracks.

One of them says, "Sure you’re not with the unicorns."

Another one says, "We’re gonna burn you anyway."

Another says, "The unicorns are Miss Cathy’s loyal pets."

"You have forsaken your goddess."

"You have a choice, Brah. Redeem yourself and join us."

"Join us."

All of the shumen begin to step toward you with malevolent grins on their faces. Upon a closer look, their eyes are now all pitch black. Instinctively, you step back, but Melanie grabs hold of your left arm, and turns you around.

Her eyes have become pitch black as well, "Join us Brah. We musts sing praises to ze goddess!    KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"    You hear all the other shrumen begin laughing along with her.

BC The Entity (1): You ask the book to open up to one of the pages on magic. It opens up to what is presumably chapter 4. However, you only see one line of text. It says, "Magic: It is done by wizerds." The opposite page is blank.

   KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

The book explodes in your face, slamming you right into the wall behind you. The book itself goes flying out the window nearby. Outside, you hear your dwarf make some sort of excited cheer.

Trip (3): The overseer says, "Very well."

An octarine portal appears a few feet in front of you.

"Go through this once you have finished equipping yourself. An escort squadron will be waiting for you on the other side."

Another portal appears, and the overseer goes through it. You then take this opportunity to put all of your equipment back on and pocket the two gemstones.

You go through the portal. On the other side, you see three dragonborn soldiers salute you upon your arrival. Two of them have an axe, a round shield, a dagger, a shovel, and other equipment for survival. The third carries a crossbow along with a dagger. All three of them are wearing greenish-brown cloth shirts and have painted their bodies a greenish-brown. You also see an overseer floating next to them, only its skin is brownish, and it has a pair of wings for some reason.

Just past them, you see an extensive trench network connecting to a series of wooden towers. Just beyond this, you see a great rift cutting through the landscape, with a series of bridges going across. To the right, you see a beachhead upon which several war galleys are parked. Up ahead, you see a forest whose outer layers are being cut down by teams of dragonborn soldiers. When you turn left, you see the walls of a great stone fortress curving inward. You see a number of dragonborn dragging stone across the top to bring the walls higher.

The overseer thing begins to speak, "Good morning, Trip. I hope you’ve had a good rest. In case you were wondering, I’m not actually an overseer. The higher ups used the genetic framework of an overseer probe to create a fully functioning, autonomous scouting unit. I would have gone ahead to scout on my own, but if I did that, the bird people would capture and torture me to death. I really don’t like dying and I really don’t like being tortured. I heard what Jadice does to her loyal subjects, so I really don’t want to know what she’d do to squishy orb people like me, or any of those bird people for that matter. So, please keep me alive, okay?"

One of the dragonborn axemen says, "This looks like it’s going to end well."

The crossbowman says, "Let us proceed, shall we?"
