That it is. Still can't believe Mika shares a voice with Shinji Matou.

Yeah, it's great. It's why I haven't finished S2... I watched S1 on Gundaminfo dubbed, and now I just plain don't want to watch it subbed.

... what an odd feeling.

So thsi week alone I went through two High Grade gunpla kits of significant size disparity: The Qubeley (revive line of course) and the Nobel Gundam.

They're both gorgeous gals in their own right but whew! The HGUC Qubeley is a BIG beauty of a model. Is she really 1/144 scale? She's taller than most of my kits, just under the High Grade Turn A but in terms of width she dwarfs the rest even without those ridiculous shoulders of hers. Its getting to the point I'm kinda running out of room on my table thanks to Qubeley.

In comparison, the HG Nobel Gundam I put together is teeny. She's smaller in height than every other model (even Wing Gundam) and she's pretty skinny too, though she's honestly my favourite kit so far thanks tos ome sexy articulation and that I actually managed to ship her with Guncannon.

Nobel is probably the single biggest piece of evidence that Hajime Katoki designs are at their best when as over-the-top as possible.

but HOW?

They wouldn't be accurate if Qubeley and Kshatriya weren't THICC

Katoki's designs do fit better in G because otherwise you get Literally Winged Zero.

I still love Nobel Gundam tho even though I don't get why its from Neo *sweden* if it looks like Sailor Moon

Maybe Nobel's billed from Neo Sweden the same way Kofi Kingston was once billed from Jamaica?

Soo... I found this lore video about a pretty funny story from an obscure Gundam manga called Zeta Gundam Gaiden Mace Of Judgement.

The fakes in question are, a Zaku 2 with a fake Zeta Gundam head, (Which is basically an inverted version of the Zeta Zaku) a Barzam with a fake Gundam MK-2 head and my personal favorite of the bunch. A gold-painted GM with fake wing binders and the Hyaku-Shiki's kanjis on it's shoulders, it is given by the narrator of the video the very fitting nickname of the Hyaku-Shitty

Just realized something hilarious about the UC, based on some material outside of the three main series.

Anavel Gato is described as missing Amuro Rey in the battle of Solomon because there were reports of the Gundam being destroyed and he believed them and went on the offensive. These reports occurred because, as explained in one of the Crossbone mangas, some nutty Federation guy had dolled his Ball Mobile Pod up to look like the Gundam's head.

Had Gato fought Amuro one or the other could have very likely died. Had Amuro died it's obviously a massive blow to the Federation, but Gato might actually be more important. (and if you ask me Amuro would almost certainly beat him at this point). If Gato dies at Solomon, then Operation Stardust almost certainly fails, had Operation Stardust failed then the Federation would have kept much more of a leash on the Titans, which short circuits Zeta and massively changes the rest of the events of the UC (since the Federation is no longer fighting itself when stuff like Axis crops up).

So the whole course of the UC depended on... a guy making his Ball look like a Gundam head. For want of a nail indeed.

I'm sure Delaz woulda found someone else to try to get Operation Stardust underway.

Umon and his Ball Gundam are easily one of the best parts of Crossbone Skull Heart! (Along with the newtype monkeys of course.)

Well... I was about to say "Gato's the one who handles the infiltration to actually steal the gundam" implying that it would require a high amount of skill at espionage, but rewatching the episode in question he basically just walks up and grabs it with zero people stopping him. I think the same job could have probably been done by Wufei from Wing.

0083 really is an idiot plot, isn't it.

[up]As much as I enjoy the action...yes. Not to mention the middle between the GP-01 repair and the second Battle of Solomon really stall.

Also Cima is wasted after her introduction.

Ah, Cima. You know, you could probably salvage 0083 if you made her the main character because she's basically the only major player who's sympathetic in the slightest.

Well, if its any consolation. I heard that Cima is basically the protagonist in one of the G Generation games. (I think it was G Generation DS)

Yeah basically the plot of Stardust Memory happens because everyone's a big fat dumbass. Hell the only reason Operation Stardust sorta succeeds is because Nina only now realized she used to date Gato so she might as well interfere with Uraki's operations and let Gato drop a colony killing untold thousands. All for a guy she inexplicably didn't recognize only to now remember she was supposed to be his ex! To make no mention of the Federation keeping a nuclear capable, unlocked super Gundam, FULLY FUCKING LOADED. Even Terl knows not to fucking store loaded shit! While the Federation was still learning how to spell their fucking charter, Terl was being trained to conquer galaxies!

Can't say anything wrong about fuckin' "MEN OF DESTINY" tho, that shit is fucking LIT

[up] AHA

then my theory still holds water, since even if the guy who replaces Gato if Gato dies is able to do the same things, Nina won't intervene since she only dated Gato.

Though I'm not *quite* sure if this stops Zeta and ZZ from happening since the Titan's original plan was for Operation Stardust to almost work then to intervene at the last minute, so this might just alleviate the actual colony drop while still allowing Zeta and ZZ to take place.
