Read that one. I'd say their best point is that a FF release used to mean something. Nostalgia goggles aside (I never played through a single mainline FF game, mind you), when a FF game came out, it was a big deal. I find it really weird that it's now become a "yep, it's the FF game for this half-year."

I mean, I don't think that's the case. XIII's contentious history aside, a numbered FF release is a Big Deal still. They just haven't had any in a bunch of years, just sequels and spinoffs. For better or worse, XV is gonna make a splash.

But isn't that kind of the point? So many of them "don't count." Once upon a time they all did.

Final Fantasy games have traditionally been console RP Gs, so the computer RP Gs are usually lumped in as "spin-offs" by certain fans.

Once upon a time, the mainline numbered console ones where all there was. It isn't really fair to complain that they don't have the same impact nowadays when the output has multiplied enormously.

You know, I really do agree with a lot of the points, but most importantly, the bit about the stories being incomplete AND incomprehensible.

On those religious movies, #4 The Unexpected Bar Mitzvah, is the only one on the list that left a sour taste on my mouth, come on, the Jewish Sephardi communities suffered a huge deal of erasure thanks to conversion and pressure to covert or adopt Christian traditions, which happened to my family roots.

Also, you think those are bad? Try having to watch Gods Not Dead with your family and being the only atheist in the room.

I think The Ledge qualifies.

What's it about?

Without going into spoilers territory, it essentially challenges the whole god's benevolence deal, has a few arguments over what the self is and after life rewards for being devoted as well the concept of needing to believe in god to risk one's life for their beliefs.

Like I give a shit about spoilers for a movie I'm not going to see. How much of an asshole is this atheist guy we're supposed to like? Is he about the level of Dawkins?

Surprisingly, he is an aversion of the Hollywood Atheist trope, but still quite an asshole when he decided to ruin Joe's abusive marriage because Joe is a fundamentalist Christian that pitied Gavin's godless life.

Now if you want to see complete asshole Atheist Gods Not Dead has only 3 atheists and of those 3, one is a Dawnkins level of douche, and Dawkins himself is cited on the movie, Obnoxious Vlogger levels of annoying and the last one is the my godless life is so perfect level of smuggery.
