Fun fact: Special K is ketamine, a surgical anesthetic. I don't know why people even think it's a good idea to get high on that.

I don't know why you expect people to be rational about getting high.

Seriously. There are people who consume aerosol canisters intended for PC repair. Getting high has never gone hand in hand with sound medical judgment.

A guy on grindr just asked me if I knew where to get Oxycodone....

ANYWAYS, anyone notice how Cracked is resembling the clickbait-type site more and more?

Isn't having sex with someone on drugs immoral/illegal (I mean when the other person is on drugs).

I liked this article, but it's got one of the worst title-guy renames I've ever seen come out of the site (and I'm legitimately tempted to call it the worst period). It's the equivalent of changing our site name to "The Complete List of TV Channels!" It's tangentially related to the subject matter, but otherwise completely wrong.

The worst has to be "Why the Justice League Movie Will Beat 'Captain America 3'"

It was a video on why a Marvel/DC crossover would be mutually beneficial. Neither movie mentioned in the title was mentioned in the video. They were just included as pure clickbait, as was the inflammatory opinion in the title that had absolutely nothing to do with the actual content.

[up]It wouldn't surprise me if cracked writers would visit TV Tropes for inspiration to write their articles.

Whenever I see the fan theories or alternative interpretation articles I jump to the WMG pages to see if they match.

[up][up]I had a talk with my sister about voluntary work abroad, she wanted to go to Nigeria or Somalia, I had a stern talk about how it would be a horrible idea for someone who barely speaks english and has never been abroad by itself to go to those places. That article was just a reminder.

[up] Yes seriously don't let her go. It's noble and all but noble doesn't mean bullet proof.

And moving on from my inherited shame http://www.cracked.com/photoplasty_1448_15-bizarre-casting-choices-hollywood-keeps-making/

So I actually thought the maori guy in #1 who keeps getting cast as different ethinicities is Indian.

Is that racist?

[up]Not really, some different ethnicities can be quite physically similar to others. This whole photoplastry has some issues with the character descriptions versus graphical representation in live movies and media.

The Maori guy could pass as a Brazilian if he wanted to and no one would find out, I think being able to play people from different regions a quite interesting feature, as long as it doesn't fall under a single stereotype.

As for my sister I told her that are many impoverished people here, instead of going abroad start at home.

The Kili casting was pretty transparently made with his greater protagonism in mind, yeah. Though I do seem to recall Fili and Kili were described as "fair" in the book?

And if I'd had to assign Cliff Curtis an ethnicity, I would've said first Indian, then Latino. I've met Maori people, but the stereotypical look is different from his.

Incidentally, that might be a good image for the page.

So...it features straight men playing gay characters.

Does that mean those men are...gay for pay?

(Hilariously enough, as I'm typing this right now the advertisement is about "The Most Powerful Tesosterone Booster Ever is Now Available" Sometimes it's amusing how appropriate the ad can be)

The Straight-Gay actor pairs they listed were awful examples in almost everyone the straight actor was more camp than the gay actor at least according to several different comments.
