Nintendo DS?
Not Touchscreen, at least not in the sense I intended.
Let me see if I can find an example to point out what I mean.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....This◊ would be an example of a Touchscreen Console (or Touchscreen Terminal, if you prefer that term).
Though, come to think of it, I don't think that's a public model and thus not something I'd have experience with.
Let me try again,
Nope, that's the best thing I can find. Still, it gets the point across fairly well, methinks.
Most games on touchscreen consoles aren't terribly complicated, and are often ports of simple computer games. A good example is Luxor and its sequels.

I've heard of Photoplay. It's a game compilation arcade cabinet controlled with a touchscreen. It's been around since at least 2000.
I played one of the first versions of Photoplay. The game Stones scared me when I was young.
Notes, notes, got to keep notes, otherwise I'll not be able to think of anything.Wouldn't a game that can be played completely without buttons on a (3)DS count? It wouldn't be much different controls wise from a mobile game.
Dragon Quest IX for example. You can use buttons but virtually everything from moving to interacting to menu navigation is doable without any buttons.
Moved handles because mehIt may be very late, but there is also Touchmaster, made by the makers of Mortal Kombat, apparently. Even the same graphical techniques are used, but it was only around until about 1999. It’s a game compilation, just like Photoplay.
Notes, notes, got to keep notes, otherwise I'll not be able to think of anything.I guess most mobile phone games would qualify, since they rely entirely upon controls or button prompts on the phone screen. And while I've seen some decent attempts at trying to bring action games to the format - Wargaming with both World of Tanks and World of Warships, for instance - I've got absolutely no idea how players can even tolerate playing on twitch-reflex style games like Call of Duty or Mario Kart.
First; clarification, I would not be surprised if I'm the only touchscreen enthusiast on Tvtropes, that said, please follow the forum rules when posting here. I know the subject arouses ire from some people who consider themselves hardcore gamers.
Secondly, "Touchscreen Games" does not refer to various Iphone app games, it refers to games played on a touchscreen console, which are often found in restaurants, bars, etc.
So, discuss, favorites? Any things I should try if I can find them?
