Actually the slug in that video is only around six inches long, that's a very small flower. African land snails can reach well over a foot in actual body length.
Slugs are somewhat more adaptable, though, and they dominate the ocean. Slugs also don't suffer from any parasites that feed them to birds over and over.

Nautilus is friend. Slug hate swallow. Swallow picks up snail and hurls it at wall to eat, but Slug can hide under leaf. Swallow is not smart and does not find slug when hide.

I think it might be a banana slug, but there are so many species of slug that can only be identified by color and even that varies within the same species. Banana slugs can be any combination of yellow, green, brown, black, or sometimes almost white.

@Scythe: It says the slug was from Africa, and I don't believe banana slugs are native to Africa. That was my first guess as well, but I'm not quite sure about it.
