Hello, I'm new to posting on this forum but I just binged this forum from the beginning and I feel as though I'm ready to join this awesomeness. Much like everyone else here, I joined because I'm in love with DMFA and it is inspiration to me to work on story ideas myself. I hope to have so much fun with everyone on here in the future.

Thanks. I'm not too worried that frequenting this forum will become a habit. I mean I visit Tvtropes at least once a day and may be on here for about an hour or ten or hundred so I think I'll be fine.

I must ask: does this forum cover general topics regarding DMFA or are the discussions only update-related? I ask because I'd like to ask a few questions regarding events that have already transpired in the comic and, as I've seen, the majority of the conversations here pertained to past-current-updates and I don't want to derail anything. I hope that makes sense. >.>

Sorry about this post, I was trying to edit it but accidentally erased it and sent it without knowing until the last minute. If anyone's curious: I asked what others liked DMFA either in general and/or particular. I like how the humor works with the plot and character development. Of course, if you already know this, you can disregard this. As a extra: I also like how Amber is able to balance the continuity and she's efficient in giving who thought to be side characters adequate such as Matilda. I thought she'd serve to only be Dan's girlfriend. As of recent comics that (fortunately) does not appear to be the case.

I also like the art as well as the comedy. For such a colourful and vibrant world... it's pretty darned dark underneath it all. That makes the comedy more fun, imo.

Amber is good at that. I like Girl Genius for similar reasons, even if they aren't all that much alike.

...I hadn't really given it much thought. I just like it, overall. The art is nicer than most, too. Also, welcome.

Also, does anyone have expectations for certain developments in the future? As of Abel's little sleepover at Jyrras' place and Abel's insightful conversation with Jy Jy, I'm curious as to how and where Amber with take their relationship from here: will it remain the same, will Abel possibly consider Jyrras a friend or become more comfortable around him where we'll Abel giving Jyrras piggyback rides from a sprained ankle or hoist him on his shoulders to accomodate Jyrras' view while say watching fireworks ? Will they cross over to traditional amatory (seems unlikely)? Will one take a magic bolt possibly intended for the other and they die in the arms telling them how much they mean to the other but then! power of friendship miraculously saves their life while gumdrops, Glorious Gumdrops rain down from the ceiling! Or will the relationship change in such a way that was completely out of my range of expectations? So many possiblities.

I'm generally content to see wherever that goes, to be honest. From what Mab's dropped, I don't think anybody has much time to investigate all the possibilities in any given relationship. We've mainly been in the calm before the storm.

I think the major question is: who will survive? And, does Mab consider Abel a friend?

I've recently wondered that as well though I currently do not have any theories on who may or may not survive. I'll say that I've become particularly attached(?) to Jyrras and Abel and seeing either of them go would be a real blow. Your comment on Mab's feeling regarding Abel has me think that he maybe one to die. We haven't seen the two interact much and when they did it wasn't exactly....amicable. And considering Abel's not-so-friendly waking of Pip, Mab's long-term companion.....I think I need to go prepare for the apprarently inevitsble tears.
