Oh, one more thing; only thing I can think of that may have caused this is that I had a friend partition my drives a while back and moved my Steam folder over. I haven't run into any problems with other games, but could that have something to do with Audiosurf's goof?
Against all tyrants.Hmm, yeah, that could affect how Steam runs. Check the Database for anything that pertains to running Steam on a partition.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, that definitely could be the cause. Don't know how to solve it, though.

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelRight, the first of those didn't work. I'll take a look at the second.
EDIT: Didn't work either. Damn.

Against all tyrants.Bugger it. Short of completely re-installing Steam I can't find any way to get it working. Thanks anyway.
Against all tyrants.Glad to (try to) help.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI shall now attempt to ride "How I Love" by Mayhem.
Wish me luck, people. I'm going to need it, because frankly this is a suicide mission.
Disregard. That song was way too easy...
Just managed to get the third highest Australian score on the Pro leaderboard for 'The State of Massachusetts'.
Which is a very difficult song.
Audiosurf Air, a sequel of some variety? There's a beta-signup should anyone be interested.
edit: bwahaha, the bottom :
(other things are also not final)

I just got Audiosurf, myself. And ended up posting the first ever public scores for two songs. Ray Wylie Hubbard's "Dallas After Midnight" and Chris LeDoux's "This Cowboy's Hat".
I still come back to this game every so often just to play some random fave rock song. The sequel seems interesting, though I don't know if it's really worth buying full price for a pseudo-wakeboarding mode and some different wave detecting algorithms.
As of a couple days ago, Audiosurf 2 is out of early access! Really not big on the menus, though. Seems cramped and convoluted. The gameplay is more hectic than the first, with more emphasis on collecting rather than avoiding.
Hmm...try these two solutions:
This tells you how to repair Steam Client Service on Windows Vista and 7.
This also helps with some Steam problems.
Mind you, both of these claim to solve some issues, but try searching for stuff like that in the Knowledge Database or get a Steam Support account and send a ticket.
