Sup Elevens?^ That was adorable
My favorite bands/groups are Do As Infinity, The Pillows, Abingdon Boys School, asian kung fu generation, and FLOW, as well as some others I'm probably forgetting.
Kaori Oda is by far my favorite singer. Her voice is just amazing. I could listen to ''Calling'' all day.
Solstace- I tried the Ali Project a whie ago, and they're OK. I've neglected trying to get into them though, because I have the attention span of a knat and got distracted by other bands soon after I found them. The thing is, I like them because they're so different, but they're more poppish than what I'm usually into. So it would take a bit of adjustment to like them properly.
So, thanks for prodding me back in their direction. I might be able to motivate myself to adjust my headset now.

If an offense come out of the truth, better it is that the offense come than that the truth be concealed. If we're pimping... I've been obsessed with this song for sooo long... I think it's going to be one of my all time favourites.
... And I'll stop there. I'm dangerously close to getting carried away and pimping out every other Japanese band I listen to.
Well, I'll do Versailles. But only for the purposes of shepherding traffic to my article. And they are the best thing to happen to VK in the last 5 years. IMO, anyway.
Sorry- made several attempts at embedding but the computer had other ideas.

I love love love Asian Kung-fu Generation right now. I'm also a huge fan of Hearts Grow and L'Arc en Ciel. As far as j-pop goes I really like Perfume and (I don't know if they count as j-pop) Capsule.
Have I mentioned Crystal Kay?
360 Gamertag: Electivirus. 3DS friend code: 5412-9983-8497. PSN ID: Electivirus. PM me if you add me on any.I have one track by Sugizo, with english lyrics from the "all your bases" school of language.
Despite the heritage, I only know a few artists, but they're pretty diverse.
On the rock front, Polysics and Doping Panda who I saw a couple of years back- fun. Oh and Dragon Ash (obv) I guess. Hip Hop = Krush, yes, a crew called Ryu, and DJ Kentaro, album called Enter is interesting. Electronic- I once saw a DJ called Dr Usui who practically destroyed my mind with hardcore and bizarre video accompaniment. I like C Ornelius too. Nu Jazz- Indigo Jam Unit and Breakthrough, both have Hip hop crossovers.
...is out to lunch.I like Psychic Lover.
"Wait, it's IV. Of course they are. They'd make IV for Dreamcast." - Enlong, on yet another FFIV remakeSugizo's spoken English isn't the best. Though he seems pretty fluent when he writes.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityAnything by Kana Ueda is a-ok for me!
My FF.net accountAlso, have I spammed the Naruyoshi Kikuchi DUB Sextet yet?

Hello again tropersAnyone know if Sugizo's done guitar work for Gackt outside of SKIN?
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityI was youtube hopping, and I came across this:
[[youtube:9qMRN_WkwDo&feature=related]]
Song's called Koi Wa Obukyou.
Unfortunately, I don't know who Tatsumi Megumi is, but it's a nice wee song (with a wicked drum part). Also, curiously featuring Sano Hiroaki, who I'm assuming is the same Sano Hiroaki who did the Nanoha soundtracks (among other things; he's quite prolific). I'm not sure in what capacity, though: is he playing the guitar on this?
I must investigate this further. I don't know what album this comes from, but it's licensed to a Guitarfreaks/Drummania game.
Play Again? Y/N@Solstace: I don't think so. If Sugizo and Gackt were working together then people would be banging on about it, and as far as I know they haven't been. Might be wrong though. Why ask?
I ask because the guitar solo in Gackt's In Flames sounds just like Sugizo.
I mean, almost every JROCK guitarist rips of Sugizo, but Gackt's guitarist is normally more Western influenced, and the tone and vibrato sound almost identical to Sugizo's.

Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityI just got a decent SXSW '07 CD, Japan Nite. Tracks from Oreskaband, Go!Go!7188, The Emeralds, Pistol Valve, 50 Kaitenz, Asakusa Jinta, and Hy. Recommended.
...is out to lunch.I'll look it up.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityOnly J-Rock I've listened to was The Black Mages.
I'm looking into Malice Mizer and X Japan at the moment.
X Japan is mostly good. Some of their stuff is a little too similar for my tastes. Malice Mizer is good. I liked them best when Gackt was the vocalist.

Ecstasy is Sustained IntensitySo here's a kind-of relevant question. i was thinking about getting some DV Ds of Malice Mizer concerts off eBay but they're all in Region 2.
Would my computer (it's just a regular Dell I bought a few months back) play them?
