The new opening I'm not crazy about. I think I might even like Chase more.

Idk I am an alien is one of my favorite Diu chapters but something about this week's episode was weird, probably the pacing. It ended in such an odd place and maybe the humor just didn't translate well? I remember the die he initially turned into in the manga being bigger but I could be remembering wrong. Overall Di U just doesn't feel as well adapted as the previous parts. Whereas the previous parts made moments I didn't like that much in the manga more enjoyable, this one is kind of doing the opposite.

Breakdown Breakdown!

I do love that battle music.

Phantom Blood: Zeppeli countering Ripper's attack with a wine bottle and then by spitting some wine at him with the force of a bullet. That's tied with Dire, after being decapitated, managing to spit a Hamon-infused rose into Dio's eye. "More disgusting than frog urine!" Ah Patrick Seltz.

Battle Tendency: Joseph surviving Wamuu's attack during their second fight. I loved how the camera angle and dialogue seemed to play on just how ridiculous Joseph's escape art was getting. Even Kars is surprised to see Joseph sitting on a busted up chariot. "Well, it seems I've managed to escape once again!" And even Wamuu is standing there with his arms broken going, "What? How on earth could this have happened to me!?"

Stardust Crusaders: Still waiting for that dub and too lazy to read the manga. But of the first 3 episodes my favorite bit was Joseph again, and his overreactions to just about everything. "DIO! THAT SON OF A BITCH IS ALIVE AND HE TOOK OVER MY GRANDFATHER'S BODDYYYYYY!!!"

From the spoiled later episodes my favorite spoiler thus far was definitely when Jotaro and Dio walk towards another and Jotaro's, "I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer."

They cut some stuff from Alien too which is why it wasn't as good as I remember. Like the dollar bill, Josuke practicing the dice...bleh can't say I'm satisfied with this week's episode.

I don't see why they're combining Highway star with alien conclusion either. It's a very jarring change of pace.

And yeah I'm waiting for that Stardust dub too. It's got to be better than Battle tendency's at least.

The smile on Kira's face while slowly pressing Bite The Dust in OP 7 is really creepy.

That was a fun episode. And the new OP was jammin' too!

Really liked the latest episode, the visual of the new opening is fabulous the song itself is something I've got to get use to. I love how Jotaru's reaction to the alien/stand's power is to use it to get more money. We've come a long way since Jonathan's gentlemen days.

It's pretty obvious I think. There's a lot of material to cover and only so many episodes to put it in.

So I have a question about the ending of part 6. why do people assume that Giorno survived to GER. Wouldn't he have survived anyway regardless? Pucci directly states that the part 6 team was replaced because he directly killed them. Anyone not killed by Pucci would have naturally survived the reset like Emporio.

I believe he tried to rewrite history (or destiny? or something?) so that there wouldn't be anymore Jojos in the new world.

He only killed the part 6 team. He never stated anything about retconning Jonathan-Giorno out of existence. And the guards and the women in the other universe lost their clothes and were wondering what happened to them. This implied they're still from the other universe and their clothes wore away from MIH. Emporio also survived so Pucci can't just easily retcon people like that or he would have retconned Emporios mother before she gave birth. He has to directly kill the people to remove them from surviving and during the whole time he's constantly attacking the team or Emporio. Which leaves nowhere that he could have attacked Josuke or Giorno, Let alone everyone that lived in the entire universe.

Some bloke on Reddit decided to put Great Days in reverse. It's not perfect, but some of scene cuts can't be a coincidence...

Emporio got saved due to sticking to a dolphin during the reset. Jolyne figured out that animals were immune to MIH and made him do it.

And IIRC the Joestar bloodline got erased. The characters exist, but are no longer... Joestars. They were other people, to the point that the iconic birthmark was gone. Emporio undid the Stand's power and brought the family back, but the changes were already so big that Jonathan lost a lot of pounds :P

Also, The Toonami PV for Jojo is up, and surprise, surprise, it's for phantom blood

The only Joestars we see replaced were Jolyne and Jotaro. And Pucci directly said that they were replaced because he killed them while Made In Heaven was active. Made In Heaven doesn't affect anything that's alive which would include humans. Jolyne stuck Emporio on a dolphin so that he can actually get away. I just checked and there's a line in Mi H part 9 that says "only the living can move on to the new universe not the dead" so everyone that wasn't killed before or by Pucci would have moved on normally to the new universe

Is that how it is? It seems everyone in the fandom interpreted it as every soul passing over, but not as the same person, or that everyone who ever existed died all at once and then got resurrected via reset.

You mean Josuke.

Well the whole point of it was that everyone would experience their entire lives in an instant, and when they were brought back to the starting point they would subconsciously remember everything that "will" happen and accept it, bringing about true contentedness ie; 「Heaven」. So everyone that didn't die would have to be the same person.

In Highway star Rohan Only gives Josuke a death state about the house thing and bitches internally. He's not directly bitching to Josuke

And that too. "Heaven" wouldn't even make that much sense if every single person got replaced.

Highway Star is my fave fight in Part 4, so I hope they do it justice.

okay, i've been on the road all day so i couldn't give my opinion on the intro last night. basically, i really like it. the song is somehow funkier than Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town, and it's packed with cool visuals and foreshadowing.

also, Terra Ventus, huh? an interesting workaround for the ability's original name (Earth, Wind, and Fire). though they missed the Latin word for fire.

A number of Stand names are listed in All Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven. Assuming they keep going with the renames, Enigma Boy will be changed to Misterioso and Stray Cat will be changed to Feral Cat.
