That's why we're saying that when you're already being saved, it's alright. Because you're being brought to safety/warmth already. Letting your blood flow a bit more liberally will prevent needlessly losing limbs to frostbite.

Other than the canon ones, I don't think so. That one is G1+G3, then a lapse of two years, G2+G4, then a lapse of N years, then G5.

Depending o how to interpret the manga with regards to the dual games plus the third versions, it is more or less sensible that R/B/G take place inbetween the events of Rb/Sa chronologically speaking, with Emerald overtaking the later part; more or less the same seems to happen with D/P running "inside" HG/SS, with Platinum overtaking the later part.

The timeskip of Gen 1 to Gen 2 is definitely 3 years.

Yes, but there aren't any exact dates. Bulbapedia assumes a 10 year gap due to that Rocket Grunt's son, even though his age isn't mentioned in story.

Would it be all right if I called the G4 Pokegear an upgrade to the G2 version, or should I do something else?

See, I have noticed in the Pokemon main page we are not listed in the fanworks section. Considering that, at least IMHO, we do something much better with the canon/fanon than eg.: Smogon does, shouldn't we campaign to merit a mention?

Also, while I've been drawn away from it for the time being as there's much things to change in the article, I want to seriously campaign to get at least the Nidoran article, perhaps some others such as the Omanyte one, linked to from Bulbapedia and other Pokémon encyclopedias. Again, they link to Smogon, yet we do better stuff.

What is it that Smogon does? Also, who are they?

Smogon lists Pokemon by tiers in the meta-game. Sometimes they curse and use insults too (re: D/P Spinda article).

Couldn't we just put ourselves in Silent? I'm sure there wouldn't be that much of a problem.

I think we need to get an article on BP.

@ Tagg: I want to avoid the "recommendation coming in from too close" problem. Then again, for the particular case of TV Tropes that shouldn't be an issue, considering we have the same weight on tropes and works pages as any other troper.

@ Swampertrox: Dunno if we merit an article in Bulbapedia, at least, though we could try. I was thinking more of getting links to our articles from the mons's main pages, just like what Smogon and fanlistings get.

Bottom line, I want us to get more promoted. I haven't seen much talk about us. We don't have an official logo yet, only a proposal lost somewhere in the thread. Stuff like that.

I can get a friend of mine to make us a logo. And lots of random, not very different fan sites get articles, so I'd say we should be important enough to get one.

Maybe the logo could be "The Pokedex - Extended Fanon Edition" with realistic renditions of some of the starters surrounding it.
