So I've completed the dlc and the highest arena in the flooded city have the best reward: Neon coloured hair that I will never ever use since the costumes all cosplay as white haired previous characters and the actual good shit, 10 fruit that reduce your characters level by 10. You can reduce your level all the way back by one and actually replay the damn game on chapter select without being an overpowered god

So does anyone think we should add the Emil graveyard to the Nightmare Fuel page? It's entirely possible to run into it without any knowledge. And it's creepy. But it could also be Narmy.

Also I think we should compile a list of all the extra material that expands on the story and have it all in one place.

Off the top of my head we have: The Memory Cage novella Yo R Ha Stage play The recent concert Space Wars Fires of Prometheus (don't know what either of these are)

There's of course all the original Nie R side material, but I wanted to focus on Automata.

Ohya another interesting part from the concert.

This has major major major spoilers for the entire game and the second story of the concert.

So the whole thing with Yorha Prototype #9 is incredibly interesting as he is a prototype of 9S. #9 and A2 knew each other in the story which really sheds light on why A2 was quickly on board with protecting 9S during the point of the main game. Something I found darkly funny was that #9 found out that the Yorha was made using Machine Cores (Like how 9S did) and decided to sabotage Zegna/Zinnia's plan of creating the human server by adding the backdoor to the bunker. A previous incarnation of 9S is the reason why all Yorha was designed for disposal. #9 also developed feelings for A2 (They were unreciprocrated at the time due to A2 and A4 already dating at the time) and is also the reason for creating automated production of future Yorha units. Due to this #9, the original 9S, is the god that 2B wanted to kill since he purposely set a cycle of endless production and destruction of the Yorha androids.

Ah so the only reason 9S ever had a chance is because they never produced any future models based on A4.

Also there's side materials that confirm 9S obtained parts of Adam and Eve into himself, which is why the 2B memories on Route C fight like Eve. Being hacked by Adam and hacking into Eve had him absorb parts of their own personality into his own.

Oh and there's an official timeline that reveals there were "Independists" androids who resided in Australia and that the Machines built the floating city "Atlantis" that eventually disappears beneath the ocean before a berserk Yorha squad fused with Machines hundreds of years later rampaged and the city emerged.

The Human Restoration Council are the core leaders of the "Army of Humanity" aka the people who unjustly punished Popola and Devola who oversaw Project Gestalt.

The Bunker is the 13th Operation Base of the "Army of Humanity".

Also the center of their base of Operations for the Aliens and Machines was South and North America.

Edit:Something happens on the 5th and 19th of September following the events of the game which is mysteriously removed, and it confirms Pascal lives and his group writes an armistice with the Army of Humanity following the games events.

Civil war breaks out between the Machines following Emil's sighting of 2B 4-500 years later.

Double EDIT: Also there's a 100 year time gap between #9 crashing the Base "Kaguya" and the formation of the Bunker. Some android learned the truth of the Backdoor as well and vanished.

People think the M0002 that went berserk and fused with machines were also all likely male Yorha units.

@Ukokira: From what I've read and seen of the Concert translated bits Pod 042 actually ends it on a cliffhanger about whether 9S decided to leave on the ark or not. It's also suggested that it happened directly as a result of A2 trying to hack the virus out of him on Route C, which explains why a pillar of light was there in the ending (9S also refers to the ark as like light, the same description he has used for 2B and vice versa) because it's the Garden of Eden.

Said cliffhanger was resolved today. 9S woke up with his memories intact. Taro you monster, making us wait a week for the resolution of a fictional character. ;_;

Apparantly every prior rehearsal had 9S stay dead with the actual performance having a final change that spared him. Another noticeable change is that the mention of A2's corpse was completley absent in the performance so it's likely that she survived in this performance as well

Well that's good news. People were thinking C would straight up be the bad ending as the Timeline follows Ending D and E, while C 2B goes to find them.

Also having read the story of Zinnia and Number 9 It's clear his neglect and allowing them to be dehumanized for the sake of other androids plays a big part in why Number 9 went nutso, to the point he also kills himself to not remember it when they bring them back to play the part Zinnia made them for, a pretty twisted way of pleasing daddy. Some anons think Number 2 may have had a crush on Zinnia as well, which means he didn't have anyone to help him cope, and A2 had a crush on A4 later, which isn't surprising considering Androids desire compatible personalities over gender

Also good news everyone! The strategy guide mentions Androids don't have genitals when they are turned on. They can have them built in later!

Is it confirmed that the timeline follows D? At first I thought it did but in the official strategy guide Yoko Taro confirmed that the ark launched on both endings, the ark just didn't contain any machine data on ending C since A2 wiped them all out

The guy who translated thought as such if I recall right as they posted it on Nier general on 4chan.

It wouldn't be surprising. Pascal living is canon to it. Will depend on what the two events removes say to fully confirm it. Plus this ends with ending C and E being completely different thanks to the Concert.

Err I mean the Pods rebuding them on that ending.

The DLC challenges include a fight againsr Shades (Dubbed "Unknown") at level 140 and a Masamune fight

Wonder if it's canon and if it means some humans' souls were able to persist after all. And if they survived but are all berserk, whether a race of mindless humans can really be considered "human".

Whaaaaaaaaaat.

Maybe an upcoming DLC pack will let you fight Brother or Papa Nier...because Taro Yoko decided time travel is a thing.
