Its not even about power levels really. They just hate Superman & are die-hard DBZ fan-boys. Its impossible to have a simple discussion with Superman cause they just keep ragging on him while only giving the most shallow reasons as justification.

Despite finding Superman boring I have to admit he's very powerful, though how much I have no idea since the writers clearly have no idea, but I do agree that Goku could beat Superman.

But power levels being different does make sense after all, especially with anime and manga, use different energies. But I guess you can make the argument that many of those energies are so similar it hardly makes a difference and that the only differences are where the characters get them and how they use them.

Though of course there are always going to be disagreements ie I've disagreed with IANCE on the matter of magic resistance in crossovers.

Potato "potato" though I think Supes would win. Either way also Natsu's innards are not bullet proof. Even then I've always considered Natsu more or less on the middle tier or lower of shonen protags. I admit hes strong but theres something not necessarily impressive about him.

The dude just breathed out more fire than Madara ever has, if we count Fire Dragon King's Roar.

Whats the over/under now of Lucy being Zeref's granddaughter?

Is that a thing?

Anyway, between Brandish knowing (and hating) Lucy's mom, and now Zeref name-dropping her, I suspect that the final mystery of the series will be revealed soon.

Interesting note: Zeref has never met Lucy yet. If he knows Layla, I wonder if he'll note the resemblance.

I'm not sure Zeref would even consider another women after the whole Mavis debacle I think.

Superman has powerlevels even more wildly varied than Goku, the latter is at least going through them linearly. Superman in the most crazy continuities is literally infinite strength, while Goku is mad high but still a number, so Supes wins. Superman from more sensible continuities (i.e. in which he isn't relocating planets between starsystems and shit like that) gets his ass kicked by any post-Namek Goku.

Jesus can we drop the Superman/Goku stuff here? I like both characters and it's irritating to see that fight get brought up for the flimsiest of reasons everywhere.

So onto Fairy Tail, this seems like the sort of thing you save for later and that has an actual effect on something. Because obviously Zeref isn't actually dead and Natsu himself says this is a one time deal.

They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I also like both, and don't even understand how it got started in a Fairy Tail thread.

Yeah sorry I was just using it as an example of how pig-headed fans can be. It wasnt supposed to be actually be talked about this long.

Why do I get the feeling Invel is Zeref's attempt to make another little brother...

and have someone run the Empire while he is off moping.

I'm guessing we'll be done with this fight for a while after the flashback,and when we return,Natsu will be KO'ed/END.

Also I think it was a magic bullet. I recall it had an explosive effect not a piercing one & considering he eats fire it didnt hurt that much but it still did hurt.
