Grappling hooks are gone, although after the nerf in Nightfire, can't say I didn't expect it.

There are both remote mines and proximity mines. They still have the time-honored tradition of putting down mines and then immediately forgetting where they were.

The sun powered sat is Die Another Day, a movie with no game tie-in. So yeah, it's basically a pick up a gun and shoot, the fun comes from the Smash Bros like effect customization and house rules.

Man, James Bond shoulda kept that Kill Sat for use in future movies. And make it so that the villain is so awesome that even with his Kill Sat, he still oudoes Bond somehow. Without the cliched taking hostages that is.

Bond never actually controlled the satellite; it was only used to hunt him down. And considering the 'realistic' bent the franchise is on now, it's not likely that gadgets or magical powers are going to figure much into the series, until they decide to change direction again.

Speaking of magical powers, does Baron Samedi get an appearance in the game?

You obviously never watched Die Another Day.

The change had to happen.

I watched some of it...I just fell asleep part way. To be fair, all bond films send me to sleep after I managed to predict over half the plot watching them.

Still, one failed movie shouldn't be an indicator that there needed to be drastic changes, just means whoever handled that film screwed up.

Indeed, the Baron does. Though, as far as I know, the bonus levels aren't back. As far as I know. I have yet to replay through on 007 difficulty.

Jaws is also back in all his giant hit-box auto-head-shot glory.

To answer a question from the previous page, yes there is bullet time but only in the main story, you get the option to Breach open a door, things go slow and you have a short time to take out all the guys in the room.

I never liked the idea of leveling in online gaming, it ruins the fun and considering you have those guys who never stop playing who reach god knows what level and then you're pitted against these guys at level 1, I know there's an option to stop it so you only face people on your level but still.
