Kingdom Hearts

Are we sure they'll even be having summons in this game? Have they said anything about that one way or another?

The rides are basically Summons. The question is if they're the only Summons.

Nomura said in an interview at E3 2015 that there will be traditional summons and they will function differently from the Attraction Flow. Don't know if that is still accurate though.

Seems like something needs to be axed. There's so many gameplay options.

I really wanted a Gargoyles summon.

I want the Dumbo summon again,maybe upgrade his water attack to firing peanuts?

So I'm replaying BBS, the Final Mix version since I hadn't gotten to it before. I reiterate my original impressions: a very flawed game, but so damn fun you don't even notice.

Also Mega Flare by the 3rd world FTW.

BBS is just a mess in general. It's kind of amazing that it's fun at all.

At some point I want to finish the Final Mix version of BBS. I've heard horror stories about the bonus bosses, but I always had fun playing the game.

Now that I'm done Breath of the Wild and have exhausted both of my Switch games, I might replay Kingdom Hearts for the upteenth million time.

Both (the ones in the base game that is) are cool concepts with some great animations and spectacle, but man is the execution botched.

BBS' superbosses are pretty trash.

They're pretty much the far end of bonus bosses being hard largely because they do screen-filling attacks that reduce you to 1 HP with a single tap, making all stats pretty much meaningless and making Second Chance and Once More absolutely mandatory. Later fights like Julius or Zodiac Aqua would be tough, but nowhere near that level of ridiculous. So I'm hopeful that any bonus fights in KHIII will be better.

I feel like the Data Organization is probably one of the better collections of bonus fights, though. Much as I hate having to deal with Axel's combo of high firepower and the burning floor.

Another problem with the superbosses in BBS is that they never seem to stop attacking on top of them being totally unsafe to combo (Young Xehanort even actively punishes you for it because Good Game DesignTM). Even the Lingering Will provides you with some breathing room and gives the chance to hit him with 3 full combos (with Combo Pluses on!) before retaliating.

I wonder if we'll get to fight Randall or if that big monster in the factory entrance hall is our only boss for this world.

I'd also like to fight a big Heartless version of Waternoose, because I'm shocked there hasn't been a spider Heartless yet.

Unf the opening is so good. Genuinely in my top 10 opening hours of any game.

POTENTIAL SPOILER: The same leak now provides more data files.

Until now without screenshots. I did not follow the process exactly (hadn't had the time yet), but it appears to be connected to the same leak that revealed the Monster's Inc screenshots. If this is to be believed then this would confirm the return of Radiant Garden, Land of Departure, Disney Castle and 100-Acre-Wood of all places.

All of those are super safe picks, though.

restoring the Land of Departure by bringing Aqua back to Castle Oblivion is two-thirds of the heroes' goals for KHIII.
