I struggle to imagine how Port Royal was the worst world in KH when DDD exists.

Like. You've got Sora's version of the Grid, and Symphony of Sorcery, and that's about it.

Country of the Musketeers was terrible. Prankster's Paradise was worse. Le Cite De Los Cloches.

La Cité and Prankster's Paradise may be the most disappointing worlds, but they still fit stylistically and tonally. The Country of Musketeers was a meh world from a meh movie.

Also not to flog the dead horse, but Atlantica in KH 2 was also absolute garbage. At least Port Royal was fun and wasn't devoted to a bunch of cringey musical numbers (the original good Disney songs notwithstanding)

They're boring as hell, and manage not to have anything to do with the development of the characters, the main series plot, or the reason those movies were actually good.

Like, the Country of the Musketeers manages to drop all the songs, all the comedy, and even all of the actual plot points of the movie. Which. How?

I don't really care that other people like it but for myself it could be removed from the game and nothing of value would be really lost. I don't even really have that much personal animosity towards it, I just think it was basically a pointless waste of time.

Like, the Country of the Musketeers wasn't based on a very plot heavy or deep or complex movie, and the world manages to not actually do basically any of the story beats.

Like, the main charm of the movie was the comedy and the songs, neither of which made a real appearance.

Atlantica falls on the other end of the spectrum. Whereas Port Royal was way too dark and, for lack of a better term, "mature" to fit tonally, Atlantica was too lighthearted with its musical subplot. It doesn't help that it isn't even consistent like 100-Acre Woods or Disney Town, in that the narrative is too serious to form a fitting picture with the gameplay. But at least it is stylistically consistent and the tone of the narrative isn't that far off. It doesn't help that KHII is one of the most tonally confused games in the series anyway.

I love Port Royal specifically because it doesn't work yet does at the same time, if that makes sense.

I unironically hope it comes back one day.

The censorship in KH is largely pretty stupid.

I mean, the dumb thing is that the movie is PG, and that it was animated like the original in the Japanese version.

Like, it would be nice to include it as an option, y'know?

Pretty sure the movie was PG-13, actually.

I seem to remember the first one being rated lower for some reason.

Moreover, Atlantica was even more of a waste because we finally had good swimming controls, but no way tor really take advantage of it. The entirety of the gameplay was just a rhythm game set to some good songs (the ones from the original movie) and some awful ones.

To cap it all off it was also a boring retread of the movie anyways which was pointless.
