You know i think what we are all forgeting is that from patreon his monthly income has went up to 4958/month which makes this more inexcusable that he can't atleast make 2-3 strips a week.
Also yes me saying "like you can do better" was stupid because i myself think that isn't really an arguement.

[1] [2] [3] Click the links for some info about my avatar.Actually, how long ago did he set those goals and how long has he been getting that much? If he asked for that much but still isn't putting out the promised strips that's different.
So who are these fans that are paying him for drawing porn? Any amongst you?
Optimism is a duty.Nope, I pay other artists for that.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."More seriously, thinking of it, I could see a reasoning behind the price tag: Time spent drawing the comic is time not spent drawing porn, so if the comic pays "too much less" than the porn...
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."In other words, the market is telling him what his time is worth.
Fresh-eyed movie blogWhat does it say about his artistic talents that they value his porn more than his comic?
Optimism is a duty.People are used to paying for porn and blocking ads on webcomics.
Fresh-eyed movie blogSex sells. And if you can provide the plot with the porn, you've got even more of a market because it's really easy to get free pictures of people having sex. Take Brad Guitar, of Evil, Inc.. Sure, he draws his characters sexy for the Patreon strips, but I don't that's why people read them.
I think he changed his patron goals to 1500$/ a month about a week or so ago while his second account got to that goal in less than a week but im still sure the moment he thought about making a porn account that he should have expected to get a ridiculous monthly amount of money if he went along with it and made it.
Also i wouldn't say that him drawing NSFW art really says anything about his talent i̶t̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶s̶a̶y̶s̶ ̶p̶e̶o̶p̶l̶e̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶p̶a̶y̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶i̶c̶i̶a̶l̶ ̶r̶u̶l̶e̶ ̶3̶4̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶L̶e̶o̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶/̶ o̶r̶ ̶A̶e̶r̶i̶s̶

[1] [2] [3] Click the links for some info about my avatar. The only patron thing I have is for Sage and that's only for the value I place in his program. I don't make enough money to give to artists willy-nilly.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireAgreed, it gets expensive pretty fast.
Optimism is a duty.I only opened a Patreon account after a windfall in early 2015. Then I stayed after I had expended it all, and with years I eventually exceeded the monthly limit I had initially fixed for myself... but not by much.
This limit is also why I won't patronize this comic, I'm already spending money on too many of them.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."He's doing porn now? Huh, okay.
It's never been a secret that he's been doing porn for a while on his Patreon, I think.
Hey, whatever pays the bills.

Thats exactly it. He is pretending that this comic is a "full time job", which it blatantly isn't. Like I said, plenty of cartoonists can easily manage a cartoon a day, and do other things besides that, too.
And of course its fine if people are willing to pay for it, but to then pretend that he NEEDS that much money to even do the bare minimum of a weekly comic is just too much.
Optimism is a duty.
