^ I agree about the princess, her character design is great.
But.. That was depressing.
Well, that was depressing. On the plus side, Togame looks better with short hair.
Did they ever explain the reason for the animosity between Togame and Hiteihime? With seven episodes of them talking shit about each other for no immediately apparent reason in, I'm beginning to think that I missed something.
Also, any theories as to what Yasuri meant with becoming "weaker" through learning other people's techniques? And how she managed to "learn" the strength of the Itezora clan?
Please be gentle with me.My interpretation is that her innate ability was so strong and pure that learning any other skill would somehow taint her style making her weaker. She was perfect, so doing anything else, learning anything else but what she already had was corrupting her style... or something.
Or maybe simply that her style was stronger than any other, so she had to use other skills in order to not destroy her body.
And I don't think it has been revealed why Togame and Heitei Hime hate each other. It will probably be explained in future episodes.
Anyway... Nanami ;_;
I'll miss you creepy killing machine.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Basically, she's such a prodigy (or a "monster") that she already knew the perfect way of fighting in the first place, instinctively. She can imitate people with her super insight, but since everyone else sucks compared to her, what she's imitating is "weakness", relative to her base strength.
NNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-CHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNN

Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime list-Pats back-
It was a great loss... there will never be another like her.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.So. Episode 8.
I'm not sure if I like this new, weirdly human Shichika.
I'd like it if they explained Togame's cross-eye one of these episodes.
Emonzaemon is THE MAN. He emasculates lesser men with his mere presence.
Please be gentle with me.Episode 8: blah blah blah, blah blah, blah blah blah. I'm more than a sword now, I'm a person x6, blah blah blah. Bob Loblaw. This show is getting less interesting as time goes on. I'm expecting it to get better from here, honestly, but yeah. Not impressed.
The new OP is awesome. Hitei-hime is awesome. Episode in general is fairly good. The new Shichika is somehow less interesting than the old one. The new ED is painful.
I liked the old OP song better, it was really catchy, but visually the new one kicks a lot of ass.
I like Shichika better now, he's actually showing character development, and the whole clockwork robot as a sword thing was pretty awesome.
Seems to be setting up the next arc to be about Hitei and her minion (Enmonzaemon? Something like that). Shichika's whole "I am human!" speech sounded like an exaggerated death flag to me. Honestly, I really can't see where that's going except to kill Togame in the ending or something.
Can't say I cared for the sword of the month this time around, but the actual plot is moving.
I liked this episode, lots of focus on Togame is always nice.
Next episode promises to be quite interesting.
This episode wasn't as thrilling as usual, Nothing can ever be thrilling now that Nanami is dead but still it was quite good. Togame's jealous side was a lot funier and far less annoying than I initially expected. Kiguchi was also the type of character that I tend to like.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. So episode 10 just came out. A couple of questions:
- Did anyone else make any sense of Rinne's Fauxlosophic Narration?
- Did anyone else think that this episode seemed strangely better animated than the others?
Sigh... why can't Togame just decide that this whole quest of hers is stupid, and has little to do with what she really wants.
Go off with Shichika and have lots of babies.
You can pretty much tell that's what would actually make her happy in life. Shichika would be happier.
Heck, just about everyone would be happier.
Instead right now I foresee a classic Greek tragedy ending.
I'm hoping the whole 'not really in love' thing actually goes somewhere. Somewhere besides 'actually really in love.'
"People die when they are killed." Thanks, Rinne, I'd almost forgotten about that meme.
^^^^ I understood some things, but for the most of it... no.
As for the animation... I'm not really good at noticing those things, though it has always been a very pretty show.
Damn, I'll miss this when it's over.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. It was better animated, i'd assume they're pouring their excess budget into the animation seeing as the series is nearly finished.
I find it curious that when they asked Rinne what type of person Shikikazaki Kiki was, he replied "Hiteiteki", too.
That's weird.
Especially because we all know there's no way that Hitei Hime is a descendant of Shikizaki Kiki. No way. I couldn't believe it.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.I actually think she might be one of the Deviant Blades at this point.
Everybody is turning into a Deviant Blade... though I doubt it.
We have seen the last two katanas and we know now that Kyotouryuu is the very last perfect blade. I don't think there's going to be an even more perfect extra sword number 14 considering the number of episodes we got left so the only chance of that would be that Hitei Hime would be a Kyotouryuu user... which I really doubt.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.
Well, Episode 7 was pretty depressing. But, there was a funny RPG reference scene, so that was nice. And a ridiculously adorable young Shichika and Nanami thing right after the credits.
...And this is random, but I really like the Princess's coloring scheme, mostly for her eyes.
Edit: I also wanted to mention that I find that penguin Maniwani guy to be very, very adorable.
