I don't think the thing with Santana was ever cut and dry, she was absolutely horrific to him, saying terrible horrendous things constantly about things she KNEW Finn was insecure about (his weight, his intellect), and while that doesn't make what he did to her return right, it should at least make it understandable and forgivable.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"No one ever really knew about anyone else in high school.
...alright I'll admit. I would have probably done the same thing as Finn and have been a lot less apologetic about it.
Santana was evil! She was already a bully and I was glad when her ego took a hit.
Did I say I hadn't forgiven him?
I'm just saying, outing somebody is never acceptable, and it pisses me off that some Finn fans like to make light of that action or say it was justified.
This isn't about what Santana did. It doesn't matter how evil she is, outing somebody is not an acceptable action.

‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them. Can't say I'd sympathize, but then, I was the quiet guy who was inexplicably liked by a lot of people in high school.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI suppose it's just ethics then. One shouldn't use such a thing as a weapon...
But subjectively I think it was deserved.
And made great drama, and that's what Glee's all about.
@Haldo
All things said and don't, I kind of want to agree that it was justified. What other recourse did Finn have against her? She was being a down right monster to him and even more so to Rory-going as far as to imply he should kill himself on several occasions because he had shown interest in Brittany- what was he supposed to do?
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Nothing can earn being outed. Outing somebody is punishing them for being gay, not punishing them for being anything else. Not okay.
In other words: Santana's crime was being a total bitch, and Finn chose to punish her for her sexual orientation. What?
If he wanted to punish her for being a bitch, he should've had her expelled or something along those lines. You see, that would actually be punishing her for what she's done, not what she is.
Her actions more than justified expulsion. Key word: Actions. Her actions should have been punished.

‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.I won't disagree with that. On a related but not responding to anyone in particular note, however, I do not think that Finn was Easily Forgiven. He did something wrong, realized that what he did was wrong, and made a very hard effort to try to minimize the damage and make the best out of a bad situation.
Also, Santana hit him. That alone kinda voids a lot of the "never taken to task on it" thing.
And that's really all there is to say on that. I just get annoyed at people acting like Finn is a monster who got off light. It seems to be a recurring thing that happens, and I notice that most of the other characters are very easily forgiven by the fanbase when they do something wrong.

@Haldo
He wasn't trying to punish her: he was trying to make her understand what it was she was doing to other people. Santana constantly went after everyone insecurities in the most vicious and cruel way possible, he went after her's to try and give her a taste of what she made other's feel. No it wasn't the best way to handle it, but really it might have been the only way.
And getting Santana expelled or any kind of trouble wasn't much of an option given what school they go to.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Hm...
I think he chose to punish her either for keeping it secret, or how keeping it secret made her repressed.
And of course, if Santana outed Finn for being a jerk, it would be harder for people to justify him hitting her.

He so was trying to punish her. He was hurt, and he wanted to hurt her right back. And he used her sexual orientation as his weapon. That is punishing her for being gay. If his true intent were to get her to understand what she's doing, rather than to out her, he wouldn't have outed her loudly across a crowded hallway.
He didn't even attempt to liberate her in any other way.
Again: He said it loudly, across a crowded hallway. He was outing her on purpose.

‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.He used her hiding it as his weapon!
"That must hurt, not be able to admit to everyone how you really feel."
...wait, this is old news. We should go back to Finn's latest blunder and calling Sue's baby retarded.

He used her hiding the fact that she is gay as his weapon. I see no difference.
But okay, let's get back to the more current news.
I haven't seen the newest episode, but it sounds like Finn just chose his words really badly, no?
‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.Yes. THAT is probably the worst thing you can do regarding babies and still get airtime on network television.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWhat was the actual line he said regarding Sue's baby?
‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.I think...?
From reading it, it sounds like he was using the r-word as an insult... Oh, that's cringe-worthy. I hope he sees how wrong that was.
‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.I lol'd.
I'm sorry. That's just, like, the most hilariously stupid thing you could possibly say.

Heh, "golly gee whiz"...I like that.
Sadly, it isn't really the same...Unique and Sue's baby.
I think he was trying to say he was surprised she wasn't more open-minded because she knows what it's like to have a disadvantaged child, but... I really don't think a single word of that sentence was well-chosen.
‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.Do you think that Finn is written to be unsympathetic in his stupidity? Or is that just how it comes off.
Hard to say...
‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them. That's a good question... He's definitly not supposed to be The Smart Guy, that's for sure.

Frankly, meh. Finn shouldn't have said the word but he caught himself right afterwards. And frankly, Sue is even less sympathetic than Santana was last season.
This is my biggest issue with this show. Characters like Santana and Sue can bully other characters and hardly get called out for it, but the minute you make homophobic or in this case disabled jokes you've crossed the damn line.
Were you actually outed, though?
Either way, though being outed is something some people can get through, that still does not make it in any way acceptable.
