I remember being incredibly disappointed in the Red Glare, even with 100 explosives skill.
I did the Legion ending for the achievements and felt dirty the entire time. They look like even more of a vile anachronism on the streets of Vegas than in the rest of the wastes. That playthrough hasn't been repeated, despite mild curiosity at some of the side quests that were missed while I rushed through, grinding my teeth all the while.
"I have no fear, for fear is the little death that kills me over and over. Without fear, I die but once."Legion, despite not having as much quests as the NCR are probably the most interesting, just because of how different they are from the other modern factions. And because their evil.
Evil can be interesting.
And I finally managed to actually make working guns for myself in the GECK. But I can't change the ammo type in the game.
I probably will never attempt the Legion and Mr. House questlines, not even for the achievements.
Sick of everything. But House is the hero the Strip deserves.

Caesar's Legion I'll only side with for the trophies. Mr. House I have FAR less of a problem consistently siding with.
True, a shithole like the Strip deserves a worthless waste of skin like House.
However, the rest of the Mojave deserves much better.

I wouldn't call the entirety of the Strip a shithole. The Chairmen are Campy little butts, but they're pretty good guys on the whole, especially Swank.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets. Was it only that one specific White Glove who wants them to become cannibals again? Hence why he had to do it in secret (although I'd imagine that revealing to everyone that he's the one who made them eat human without their knowledge is more likely to earn him a beatdown than accolades, but that's just me).
Nah, or else Chauncey wouldn't have had to have been acting in secret. Mortimer was just the ringleader, but a lot of other White Gloves were in on it, the guys who assassinated Chauncey and the detective, as well as the chef, among them. And even then, if you turn the White Gloves back to cannibalism, even Marjorie doesn't hate you for turning them back. Her quotes when you ask her about the cannibalism thing:
- "Why it's splendid. Simply to die for."
- "{affably} Mortimer told me about you, you know. What a pair of mischief makers you two are!"
- "But the new entrees are fresh and bold and I have the two of you to thank for it."

Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.I never really forgave them for the one that shot me in the face. Twice.
I also never forgave Swank for being named Swank.

Yeah, but he'd been doing that behind their backs. By your logic everyone in the Kings deserve to die for what Pacer did, and the NCR for Curtis.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets. To be fair, the only reason I don't want to do the House quest is because the only way to get a good ending for the Kings is to force them to enter an all-out war against the NCR in G.I. Blues.
Sick of everything.I actually do hold that pretty strongly against the Kings. Pacer is the second-in-command of the Kings and the King himself never does shit to rein him in unless he owes you a solid. At best, the King is an ineffectual leader, and at worst, Pacer is acting with his approval.
I won't kill them for it (unless I have to for someone else), but I am not interested in sticking my neck out for the Kings.

The Kings' situation is bad, guess I don't think about them too often. They usually end up Securitron'd because I wavered on the edge of an NCR member state, the House-led Free Economic Zone, and the Courier-administered Free City of New Vegas until the very end, and the Kings are the collateral damage of that indecision. If I went completely independent, it'd be better that the NCR refugees had a place to flee in the aftermath of the Dam, so they're unfortunately friendly with the NCR if House comes to power in the region. The other one that tends to turn folks off of House is his destruction of the Mojave Brotherhood chapter. I'd say that their sacrifice causes me to waver the most in support of House: the Mojave deserves as many self-sufficient communities as possible, and it seems morally ambiguous to wipe them out, their likelihood of morphing into the Fallout 4 brotherhood with any measure of success on their part notwithstanding. They remind me of another tribe, the White Legs in Honest Hearts, since they barely seem to know how to survive on their own.
So someone spoilered out information about the Kings a bit ago, but we're discussing them openly now. Is anyone playing through for the first time still, or have we passed the statute of limitations on discussing the game's events? I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but the game's half a decade old now.

"I have no fear, for fear is the little death that kills me over and over. Without fear, I die but once."I never did there quest but the game is half a decade old, I am past the point of careing about spoilers.
The Legion is the only faction I'd never fully side with. I completed the other 3 routes, and I did most of the Legion route, but I turned against them right before the final mission and slaughtered them all as I went back to the Independent route.
Mr. House is a bit of a douche, but I think he's an interesting character {And some of his dialogue is amusing too}, and I kind of felt bad about killing him the first time I did so since he is more or less the one who saved your life at the start of the game {Even though he did it for his own reasons}.
As for killing Ceaser, I agree with the strategy of using Annabelle, especially since his guards are really tough and can give you a hell of a fight if you don't use something powerful enough to kill or weaken them all at the start.

Just put C4 in all there pockets.
Boom!
It is fun.
I will never do the Legion and House routes. The Legion are a bunch of evil slavers, and House won't let me spare the BOS.
Again, C4 is a great solution to this - just leave it lying at all the guards' + Caesar's feet and hide in a corner by the bed and pull the trigger. Bonus - you can litter the rest of the Fort with C4 before you go in because C4 is a holdout weapon and just planting it is not an act of aggression, so when you leave Edward's tent, you can blow up everyone else with a single trigger pull. It's only really in the entry area that it doesn't entirely work, due to some mechanics getting a little wonky at great distances.
I don't side with House because he's a petty despot and I'm genuinely terrified that he'd try to run a country like a business. The BOS can go take a vacation in Camp Searchlight, though I'll let the NCR spare them because the NCR gets the BOS to be productive members of society for the first time in their lives.

I'd hazard a guess at your political affiliation then, if politics were allowed in the threads XD. Soooo much Does This Remind You of Anything?.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI know that he's a petty despot. I might have considered a play through of his route, but the whole 'destroying the Brotherhood' thing was just a complete no-go for me.
Why do people hate Mr. House for wanting to kill the BOS?
Did we play the same game? The Brotherhood of Shit are a bunch of fucking loony assholes. Mr. House had a good reason to kill them.
It has Ann impressive rate of fire, but Annabelle has a bigger blast, and is now likely to cripple
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for you
