Reverse the Curse
(Bump. Trust me, if it were my turn I'd say something, but I can't think of a way to move the story forward just using Yoko that wouldn't be totally ham-handed.)

"Of course, Satsuki-sama."
Koari turned her attention to Hanako, ever curious to hear some kind of an explanation.
"I... I don't know!" Hanako replied, throwing her hands up. "Why are you asking!?"
Koari's response was simple.
"I want to know."
Hanako had, simply, no idea what to say.
"Magical...?"
Akio sighed. That would just be their luck, wouldn't it?
"Well, I'm not sure how we can tell... maybe it's a keypad, or something?" he suggested, scanning the walls for anything suspicious. "At least, I hope it's that simple."
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."
Reverse the Curse
Suddenly, Yoko stepped back, and frowned.
"Let's go ask Korin how to open it," she said.
At Akio's incredulous look she added, "Look at what we're doing here; we're seriously thinking about breakin' into a private room on a hunch! I dunno about you, but I don't like to treat my friends like that. I just..." She ruffled the back of her hair, and gave him a slightly pained look. "We're supposed to be here to help her, Yoshida-kun. There're other reasons this door could be locked."

"Of course, Satsuki-sama."
"... You're right" Akio asked. The more he thought it over, the more he figured that Yoko could be right... whatever was behind this door simply could be private, nothing harmful at all. Asking Koari had to be the right idea, didn't it?
Behind the door, something whirred.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."
Reverse the Curse
Yoko eyed the door for a moment longer, then headed back down the hall. There's definitely something in there.
"Was there ever a time when Korin was less..." she asked Yoshida, trailing off as she searched for the right adjective and finally deciding on simply, "... herself?"

Akio glanced aback at the door, then made to follow Yoko back down the hall. When she asked her question, he considered it for a few moments.
He didn't remember even seeing Koari that much outside of occasional glimpses at school. He tried thinking back, but it was difficult to remember...
Wait...
"I... I remember going to the playground, I was .. I think I was just six," he started, "And... I think she was there. That was the first time I saw her... We played for a bit, and then I never saw her again outside of school... I don't even remember it too well, but there was no way that could've been the Ishikawa Koari we know now."
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."
"Hmmm I haven't actually given it much thought... Say, why are they Hanako? You drank lots of milk everyday? Or is it genetic?" Asked Shizuka as if they were talking about the weather.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.
