Beat: I'm tired but I still somehow can't think of joining him. Have any plans tonight 'Nix?

Norma: Here we are. Twenty sheets of parchment please?

Clerck:: Fine with that.

Lee: Carrying time.

Johnson: It's what I do.

Grant: You need to phrase what you say better, Johnson.

Johnson: You know that's not what I meant.

"...Not really, Captain. Probably gonna go out for a quick drink and that's about it."

Bates: What are you talking about?

Beat: I'll join you then. Alchohol will probably get me sleepy at any rate.

Grant/Johnson: Nothing, Ma'am.

Lee: Well, parchment isn't light, right? We could carry a bit each.

Norma: Are you not in the military? Are you suggesting a bunch of soldiers can't handle parchment?

Xavier: Well, I think I'll be heading to bed, if that's OK, Captain.

Lee: Well, we all came here, so us four could each take some. I never meant to call for help or anything like that...

'Nix just smiled and walked to the door and opened it for Beat. "Ladies first."

Beat: Yes Xavier. If you wish.

Bates: Five sheets each then.

Were they really so paranoid that they still though Ajay was eavesdropping.

Lee: Alright.

All three grab five sheets each and prepare to head out.

Beat: So yeah... Why do I still feel so depressed?

Bates: So Ok. We have the parchment.

Grant: Alright... *starts writing* As soon as the explosion happened, it seemed like he was right there waiting. Coincidence? Doubtful. And why was he the only one being charitable about it anyway?

Bates: Of course it wasn't a coincidence. But do you really think he was the one responsible? I don't see him as that kind of man?

Beat: In a sense... But there's more to it than that.

"You feel guilty for bringing in two men who didn't know what they were doing, right?"

Grant: I truly don't know. But I can tell that he's a smooth talker, which also could mean he's not who he says he is.

Beat: Yep... But the conversation reminds me of how permanent this is....

Bates: It's not that I'm blindingly trusting him. But there's a difference between, "secretive" and "insane".

The finally reached the bar.

Beat: Ironically that's the reason I never wanted to be a nun even when I was living in the convent.

Bates: He's not insane. I'm sure that he has perfectly logical reasons for why he's acting this way.

Grant: Perhaps, but we won't know for a while.

"Afraid of making a mistake? Everybody does, though." 'Nix walked in and got a drink.

Beat: No, getting stuck in a position where you can't get out if you make a mistake.

Bates: I think he definately knows more than he lets on.

Grant: I was quite sure of that from the beginning.

"Not terribly different from what I said, but true. You have to exact in this line of work." He sat down.

Beat: I mean... our job. I pointed out the reasons why I can't just change careers.

Norma: Still can't help being attracted to that man.

"Yeah... It's unfortunate that people are that forgiving these days." It really is too bad, I quite agree.

Grant: Let's concentrate on who he is, not what he looks like, Lt.

Beat: I'll take the whiskey. Again.

Bartender: Coming right up.

Beat: Its just depressing how the end of the day completely ruined it for me.

Norma: Sorry. Sorry. But is there anything else that you find we need to talk about?

Grant: At this time, no.

"Scotch, please."

Bates: I'm going to stay with you tonight then.

Bartender: Here you two go.

Beat started drinking her whiskey at a much faster pace than usual.

Beat: I mean I went to the theatre. Saved the place. But then that traitor shows up and it just turns that all around.
