It looks quite good especially with the hinting to a psychological theme going on.
I like how Adam looks like he is more developed then JC Denton
So its not Ion Storm this time, but Eidos Montreal, a completely new studio. Interesting.....
understandable because ion storm went under
But is giving such a high profile job to a studio with no experience really the wisest thing?
Hey, Urban Chaos was awesome.
(glances at indigo dingo's name)
bwah!! I remember you you were that dude who got kicked off the escapist for being a fanboy
Thats an ad hominem attack isn't it?
There are plenty of times where an unknow studio did good with a franchise. See Contra 4, Wii Punch-Out and Batman:Arkhan Asylum.
... However, I can't name any Eidos game that wasn't made by Core Design (r.i.p), so I am a bit cautious on this.
I'm not describing an unknown studio or a studio with a dark past (After all, such a notion would have us dismiss the original Deus Ex for being associated with Daikatana), I mean a studio with no past. As in, this studios entire list of games created is "Deus Ex 3 (2010/2011)" and "Thief 4 (2010/2011)".

There's also no info on just who these people are - its not like its a Platinum Games affair where its basically Clover renamed.

Is it me, or does the music sound like Daft Punk?
Jonah Falconkinda, it is good music don't get me wrong but it isnt really "deus exy"
It does sound Deus Ex-y. It's the same style of incidental music you get when running around a level, except building to a combat crescendo.
Jonah FalconBah. I was hoping for gameplay footage.
I draw this comic-like thing sometimes.I must admit that for about the first minute of that trailer, I was very confused.
....okay, is there any justification for blade arms in the older Deus Ex games?
Did anyone else notice the Square Enix logo in the teaser? What exactly are they doing in this project? Cutscenes?
Gotta wonder about those arms, though. I forget where in the timeline this game takes place...if it's after the other two games, you'd think there wouldn't be any more mechs around.
It's a prequel. No nano-dudes around. What a shame.
I kill threads and commit sodomy.Okay, in the beginning, they're referencing the Rembrandt's famous ''The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp, and then Icarus flying too close to the sun. The former is a reference to the beginning of surgical knowledge on the human body, which is a running theme of the entire series. The latter is an Aesop morality tale of people using technology they're not prepared for (and of course, a reference to Deus Ex 1).
Yeah, he's a mech. There's no nano-augs yet.
Square-Enix bought Eidos almost 2 years ago. Eidos owns the licenses.
There is no skul-gun. Gunther is sad.
It's a prequel, and it takes place during the Humanity Riots, when people weren't exactly thrilled with the start of human modification.
Why? There will be far fewer augs (since you have to have surgery for real upgrades).

Jonah FalconI understood the references, JAF. I just did not see what it had to do with Deus Ex 3 until the last 50 seconds.

You know I like how they made the cybernetic arms look normal (or as normal as you can get) rather than going for the whole [[terminator]] style skeleton hand
Human Revolution trailer:

Holy shit.
(Love the Deus Ex 1 reference to Icarus and Daedalus. :) Will there be a skul-gun? I hope so. :p )
