My liveblog is probably gonna have to go on hiatus for another week. Not in the state of mind to do it today, and probably won't be able to for the rest of the week.

^^P Ms or posts in this thread work, although I prefer P Ms, as its easier for me to tell if I have to update the list, what with the "you have a PM" banner on any page in the forums.

I've decided that if nobody posts on my thread in the next week, I'm killing my Live Blog. I've had fun making it so far, but I feel like nobody is reading it- since the feedback is half the fun, this is a very bad thing. So, fellow tropers, if you want me to continue, post away!

In unrelated news, I feel like celebrating. We now have an entry in every statistical category, including the ones I put in as a joke.

Oh, Colin, .hack//sign is an anime. At least, my liveblog is over the anime.

.hack//SIGN is an anime and nothing else, actually. Franchises are funny.

Sorry about that Lucky, your OP didn't make it clear if it was the Anime or Game, and I mostly think of Dot Hack as a game. Its been fixed.

'Scuse me, but what are the procedures for taking over an abandoned liveblog?

Quite similar to salvaging a wrecked ship. You just do it, and hope that the fuzz doesn't notice.

So I just start posting in the blog, and nothing will happen until the fuzz notice?

If you're going to continue someone else's abandoned liveblog, just start posting in that thread and pick up where they left off. If you're going to start from the beginning, just start a new thread. Either way, let me know.

What exactly IS a liveblog?

Like a Let's Play, only not just for video games and in text format (generally).

Also, a good liveblog is supposed to have your personal opinion injected into it, making it different from a Let's Play.

Uh, I've seen a few Lets Plays, and I would not describe them as neutral. Hatred at Kaizo Mario World, for example.

So, when it's not for games, it's watching/reading a series, and giving by-episode/volume/page summaries and/or reviews?

Wicked223 from Death Star in the forest Since: Apr, 2009

They're more summaries, yes.

I'd say that it's more like commentary mixed in with a summary. Just look at some of the ones we have for examples.

Normally, a liveblog just means a blog post that's written line by line as an event's taking place. A running account, basically. The trend here started when Furiko Maru decided to start a forum thread chronicling her experience watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann for the first time.
