I think for my next 110 character, I'm doing my warrior, Voyna. "The eredar are no strangers to war".

I have a quick question. I added a new friend on Real ID last night, but for some reason her name isn't on my friends list today. Why is that? :S

Did you both accept?

Did you use realid or character name? If it was just character name it only show if he is on that specific character.

Also he might have removed you.

[up][up][up] Some questions that pop into my mind:

  • Did you confirm the other side accepted? (Confirmed [up])
  • Do other friends show up on your friends list?
  • If so, are they Battle Tag/Real ID friends, or just character name friend?
  • Do you show up on their friend list?
  • Have your recently seen a notice on your chat "Disconnected from Battle.Net"?

If it keeps up it may be worth a tech support ticket. I know one common thing they suggest is disabling all add-ons and trying again

Yeah, I think you're right. This one time, Diablo III made it look like my RealID friends list look like it only had seven people on it instead of eight. surprised :S

Got a (possibly dumb) Death Knight question to ask: I don't play my DK much but I started a bit again today. While doing so, leveling with Unholy, I realized something I probably should've noticed a long time ago.

The basis of Unholy dps is bursting the Festering Wounds you make with Festering Strike. Since they're a big part of it I've always made sure to stack the debuff to its max of 8 before kicking off the Scourge Strike/Crawling Shadows. Part of the reason for that, and what I'm only just now realizing might be wrong, is that I thought the Festering Wounds debuff was a DoT.

Am I right in realizing that the Festering Wound isn't actually a DoT in and of itself? Because if so then that means I don't actually have a reason to stack it all the way to 8 except to unleash Apocalypse (which uses 6).

Festering Wounds does no damage on its own.

Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.

The other ones I may have had before...

[up][up] Thank you. Now to start working out how to make better use of my runes since I don't have to stack festering wounds quite so much.

Changes to Mythic+ are coming in the next patch. tl;dr is keystones are no longer depleted, instead you'll get a lower level keystone than the one you used, and the amount of loot dropped is nerfed to 2 or 3 pieces of gear, instead of 1-3 chests.

This new mode for Warsong Gulch is great. It used to be the one battleground I dreaded getting, the time limit ameliorated things, but it still has the baseball-style problem that nobody scores. Flag carriers are magnets for attack and can't fight back properly, so they will likely die crossing the field unless their team is organised enough to defend them. (The base problem is that most players are liable to lose sight of the objective and just fight about the middle.) This version is far more dynamic and mobile and I wish it would become standard.

Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.

[up][up] Might actually start doing some Mythic+ then. The keystone depletion mechanic wasn't something I was fond of.

On another note, I've started leveling a Warlock through Legion and I find I like the Council of the Black Harvest a lot more than the Illidari.

They don't make excuses for weilding dark magic, put up any pretext of moral superiority, or constantly talk of SACRIFICE. They weild dark magic because they want to, and desire to see the Burning Legion fall in addition to that.

Yeah, you're right. I'm not a big fan of the Illidari's "I've given up everything. What have you done?" quotations. Where have you guys been for the last five expansions? tongue

[up][up] The Council also features in the warlock's green fire quest chain from Mists if Pandaria if you have not done that yet.

[up][up] I'll probably do that at some point. My Warlock was leveled all the way from 1-100 during the Legion opening event, so I obviously didn't have a chance to do it when it was current content.

[up][up][up] The Black Harvest also lacks the cult of personality vibe the Illidari has in abundance. Which is something I appreciate since I have an inherent distrust of cults of personality.
