Wait. What. Gnome. Hunters.

I'm sure I read a long while ago about lore reasons why that can't happen.

Cool. Must mean Worgen Paladins can be a thing then.

There's a quest in Highmountain wherein you help train a gnome Hunter. She hangs out with Hemet Nesingwary and there are a lot of short jokes as she ventures bravely into the field for the first time. So much Lampshade Hanging.

She is also a follower for hunters I believe.

Gnome hunters have also enabled mechanical pets to be a thing and Blizz has added some unique ones that are tough as hell to get. Like Iron Juggernaut in SOO is a pet but you gotta get drops off 3 bosses in there and it can not be soloed yet, you need 2 people.

Ok the new illidan quest is up for those who have AK up to level 5, Funny as fuck, thats my raids back then... Johnny Awesome is the hunter who is afk, the rogue can not be hit, the warrior is immune to sheer, GD the memories!!!

You get a purified cursed vision with it but its not even a blindfold... I have major issues with this.

If I was to upgrade to Legion from Wo D without having any characters leveled enough to actually play the content, what would I get out of it?

If you have a level 70 character, you can make a Demon Hunter who finishes the starting zones at level 100.

You also get a free level 100 boost to one character of your choice for purchasing Legion.

You get 1 level 100 boost and a training sequence that lets you choose if you like that class or not if not you can use that boost on something else.

If you have a level 70 you can create a demon hunter which starts out at level 98 no matter what and the starting quests will get you to 100.

I thought there was no level requirement for DH?

Level 70 definitely required for a Demon Hunter.

Hardcore exploit!!!111oneone: Buy Legion, use the level 100 boost, then roll a DH! It's, like, defying reality!

[up][up][up] They want a character to at least experence parts of TBC's story before rolling a DH.

I think Illidan could work if he finally gets his head out of his ass.

Someone made the point that Illidan's big flaw is that he just has such a massive ego he doesn't trust anyone else with his plans. If he'd just told people what was going on, if he'd worked with his allies who he recruited to help him instead of dismissing them and constantly just brooding instead of listening to his councillors, if he hadn't always kept everyone in the dark, he wouldn't be dead! His forces wouldn't have needlessly antagonised Shattrath, an organisation that agreed with his goals! He could have got help from the Alliance and Horde, instead of just throwing away every resource he had previously built up to keep them off his back for what turned out to not be long enough! He wouldn't have needed to commit escalating acts of evil to further piss off people who would have helped him, because he'd have had the backing of other people that could have provided what he needed! I'm amazed at how well that book tied together TBC's big mess of a story, it's a good book that gives you a strong sense of the character's motives and actions. I'm also amazed at how many people seem to have somehow completely missed that part and decided it just painted Illidan as a hero who never did anything wrong, even though he literally says so himself..."

If Illidan finally realizes his mistakes and that he was a selfish ass who kept hurting himself it could actually work. Kerrigan improves when she has her moment on the Moros. As such her being the savior wasn't as bad as it might have been. I'd have prefered her going for redemption all along (in the original 2011 blizzcon she doesn't kill Lassara but befriends her) but her heel realization helped save her.

Alright I got Nightfallen to exalted.

Odd but there does not seem to be an achieve or reward for getting all factions to exalted, only 1 faction. I expected at least a mount reward or something.

Sounds like something (probably Sargeras) possesses Illidan in the Mythic version of the Gul'dan fight.

As a potential connection, if we're assuming that "The lord of ravens will turn the key" refers to Khadgar, then that's one of Il'gynoth's whispers to potentially come true.

Do you mean since the expansion began or just since the latest patch? If the latter then canonically, we've killed Xavius and are preparing the Nightfallen resistance to assault the Nighthold.

Oh. In that case, the long and short of it is that the Gul'dan from alternate universe Draenor escaped to our world and ended up using the Temple of Sargeras to summon the Burning Legion. A full out offensive was launched on the Broken Shore by the Alliance and Horde which ended in the deaths of Varian and Vol'jin. Anduin took over for his father and Sylvanas ended up becoming the new Warchief. During the offensive, the Horde got overrun and had to pull back which ended in Varian sacrificing himself so everyone could get away. The rest of the Alliance did not see how bad of a shape the Horde was in so they assumed that they were betrayed. Anduin was pretty chill about it but Jaina ragequit as the leader of the Kirin Tor (replaced by Khadgar) and Genn declared war on the Forsaken (which was really less about the misunderstanding and more about Sylvanas' previous actions). Meanwhile, Gul'dan assaulted the Vault of the Wardens and stole Illidan's body from it and Magni awakened and now serves the titan Azeroth. Khadgar went to Karazhan to find out how to stop the Legion and ended up learning about five Pillars of Creation that can stop the Legion... somehow. The Kirin Tor teleported Dalaran to the Broken Isles to serve as the main base of operations while the adventurers searched for the Pillars.

There is a ton more but that's the basic summary.

Been replaying Warcraft 3 (AKA OG Legion). And I gotta ask something. Why is Medivh so awful at his job. Dude breaks into a throne room, doesn't introduce himself when asked who he is, gives the most nondescript warning ever and then takes offense when the local king won't immediately agree move his entire people to a continent he doesn't even know exists on the word of the shape shifting hobo in front of him.

Like, Medivh, did you ever think that meeting was going to work out? I guess it did work on Thrall, but Thrall's a shaman so he's naturally gonna follow visions, and also his people are in interment camps, so the proposition of "lets go literally anywhere else" is far more appealing.

Like, all he had to do is "Hey guys, I'm Medivh. I raised myself from the dead. Khadgar will vouch for who I am, as will several others. Anyway, remember the Burning Legion? That thing I was empowered to stop? The Kirin Tor Ambassador in this very room can tell you about it. Well, they are totally coming They sent an Orc Shaman locked inside a magical helmet to the north pole and he is currently hard a work trying to manipulate your son into becoming his meat suit, after he summons the legion. Actually, burn down my book from when I was evil the Kirin Tor has and that literally prevents the only method they got of coming here. We chill? We Chill. Medivh out!"

If he announced who he was he would have been shot on sight since he kinda brought the horde to Azeroth...

Anyway anyone tried some bgs lately? its so melee focused right now its not funny at all. All casters are massive wimps to melee.

Khadgar was in outland at the time but otherwise yeah.

I think a better bet would be that Medivh was a captive of the legion.....he sends out visions to various people. Thrall and Jaina are the only one who heed them. After Archimonde wastes Dalaran he breaks free (having gained the strength over time) and escapes, taking a more direct hand (he channels his powers into Gorehowl to ensure Grom can kill Mannoroth for good. I always felt that certain things SHOULD be able to permakill demons where most of the time they'd be banished to the nether).
