Mists of Pandaria only have 2 available dungeons.

Stormstout Brewery gets real old real fast.

Actually, I got to do all of them while leveling (only did like 20 quests in the Jade Forest).

I think I did the Stormstout Brewery and the Jade Temple about 4 times each, Shado-Pan Monastery 2 times, Mogu'shan Palace 5 times, and the Siege of Niuzao Temple and Gate of Setting Sun only 1 time each.

Sure, we no longer have the variety of BC dungeons but at least is not as bad as the 69-72 range. xD

Anyway, I did my first timewalking as a tank yesterday and I got SH. I wanted to cry. I hadn't had that much fun since the Trial of the Crusader! [awesome]

Reading a post on MMO Champ about stuff cut or altered in Warlords. It's a pity because it seems they really gutted this expansion for reasons I don't quite understand. The problem is that any and all discussions about WOD, especially content-wise, are through this lens of "Blizzard is lazy and sucks". Stuff like the garrisons being set in one location is "dumbed down" from their alpha builds, flying is counted as "delayed content" despite it being one of the factors we know they changed their mind on. And of course, stuff datamined or previewed from alpha builds = "content we were promised would be in the game". That "ogre continent" on the south of map is now "promised content that they cheated us on" rather than "a teaser of future content".

It's a pity because it really seemed like the expansion could have been more. Call me a fanboy but I'm still pretty happy with it, despite its many ample flaws. But people will call out the abandonment of Karabor and Bladespire for Ashran as "lazy, cutting corners, and stupid" rather than some misguided attempt at making PVP Island more relevant.

This expansion definitely has problems and I wonder why they've made a lot of the decisions they have. I've love to know, because "they put bare-minimum effort into WoW because Hearthstone makes the real money" isn't the fucking answer.

The Shattered Hand clan is creepy. I thought they just cut off one of their hands and replaced it with a weapon. I was unaware that they mutilate themselves to the point that some of them rip their own eyes out. x_x

I think you are mistaking the Bleeding hollow with the Shattered Hand

Also, it is official. I suck at Sub PvE :P

The Bleeding Hollow clan are those led by Kilrogg Deadeye. It is a tradition of the bleeding Hollow chieftains to hollow out their eye. In exchange, they receive a vision of their death.

[up] If you think about Kilrogg, his foretold death can be seen as a hilarious example of quantum multiverse mechanics in action. When you encounter him in Hellfire Citadel, he says, "Wait, you look familiar," hinting that his encounter with players in this specific place and time is the death he foresaw.

However, if he wipes you, he says, "You were not the ones I saw," indicating that he was mistaken — presumably in that the band of adventurers he saw murdering him and looting his corpse was not the one you are in. But then you rez and kill him anyway. Moreover, many other groups also kill him and wipe on him daily.

So, his vision is oddly fluid at the quantum level. "I foresee my death. But it's not you guys, or you guys, or you guys, except it is you guys, and it's also those other guys, and goddammit I give up."

Way I see it, Kilrogg's encounter is a huge spoiler for Legion.

Kilrogg Deadeye's encounter is called "Visions of death". In this, three members of the raid have to stand in a specific place, or the raid wipes. These members of the raid are transported to Stormwind (Alliance) or Undercity (Horde), in an apocalyptic, fire filled vision of a bleak future. In this vision, the characters have to die as part of the mechanic of the fight to "come out" of the vision. In this vision, Khadghar is with them, commending them for "having survived the last Legion attack" and in the end of the vision, an emote mentions that Khadghar dies himself.

The Legion website itself mentions that Sylvanas and Anduin Wrynn will both have to suffer in this expansion as they will learn the meaning of what it takes to be a leader. Anduin is a Priest. Sylvanas has her Val'kyr, and Kilrogg's visions have, on all accounts, proven correct. And we, the players, have died before, if you know the mechanics of the Arthas fight. The prediction is simple: A fight or event will involve the invasion of Stormwind and/or Undercity and the characters will die, along with someone important. In the Alliance's case, this is likely to be Varian Wrynn. Anduin will then be forced to make the choice. Rez daddy, or rez the heroes? In the Horde's case, Sylvanas will die, and she will be forced to make a choice. Who will her val'kyr bring back? Herself, or the heroes?

Of course, this all involves some hefty amount of wild mass guess, but it still makes sense if you consider it.

A large number of people are expecting the closed beta to start right around Blizzcon (more than likely right after) with the expansion coming out in either Q1 or Q2 next year.

It'll have to be soon if they plan to stick to their not-quite-promise to have final raid tiers not last for a year-plus.

Patch 6.2.3 Preview

... we’re pleased to announce this small patch, which is focused on reinforcing the reward systems around our existing dungeons as well as expanding the scope of the Timewalking feature that we introduced in patch 6.2.

  • Six new Timewalking dungeons, this time from Cataclysm: Grim Batol, Stonecore, Lost City of Tol’vir, The Vortex Pinnacle, Throne of Tides, and End Time.
  • Timewalking bosses may drop a rare Infinite Timereaver mount.
  • Cross-realm Mythic raiding.
  • Valor is back! (Cue cries of Blizzard lying.) Mythic dungeons, Raid Finder wings, and the first Heroic dungeon defeated each day will award Valor points which may be used to upgrade items by up to 10 item levels. No new gear will become available.
  • For a limited time, defeating Archimonde on Heroic difficulty or higher will start a quest that allows you to learn to more info about the future of Azeroth and leads to a Grove Warden mount.
  • Mythic dungeons will randomly drop even more powerful versions of items, all the way up to item level 725. The possible results for Warforged rolls will range from 685 to 725 in 5 level increments.
  • Baleful items from Tanaan can now roll at 695 as well as 675.
  • Arena Season 3 is coming.

Blizzard is clearly trying to increase the life of existing content to retain players while they get Legion ready to roll.

Blizzard lied! They swore on my dead mother that they'd...

...what am I angry about today? Casuals? Raid tiers?

Being angry about nothing makes me tired and confused. What I should have done is make some kind of Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs joke but I just got off work so I couldn't come up with one. Casual tiers?
