The reasoning behind Grommash's absence as a boss has been discovered through datamined voice files.

He's part of the Fel Lord Zakuun encounter, who is torturing Grom. After defeating the boss he genuinely thanks the players and calls us "heroes." He also helps us kill Archimonde, in what I'm certain will be a heroic sacrifice ala' Warcraft III.

Well, if that results to be true...

Does this mean the expansion is really going to be THAT short...?

Show of hands: who would be surprised at this: yet another whitewashing?

They did say near the start that this could/would be a 2 raid tier expansion.

Blizzard has said the end of Wo D will lead us into the next expansion.

More than likely a Legion invasion of our Azeroth has happened during our absence.

Also, a new blood has been datamined for use in crafting recipes, Felblood.

Unlikely. We are not shut off from main world. Not even canonically. If it happens it happens and we notice but it wont likely be a "Oh my gosh where have you guys been!" thing

Yeah, we can travel back and forth between AU!Draenor and Azeroth Prime freely. There's no way the Legion could sneak in an attack like that. Well, they might but we'd find out reasonably quickly.

Regarding the length of the expansion: I'm not inherently sad if 6.2 turns out to be the final raid tier, but I am enjoying the systems of this expansion much more so than any in the past, particularly Garrisons, and I'd be sad if those get abandoned in favor of something completely different.

So basically what we are looking at is another Sunwell platuea here storywise (Hopefully without nightmarishly hard bosses)

A final boss getting replaced by a bigger bad.

[up][up][up]Sorta. We're not stranded like the Alliance forces that were on Draenor/Outland after Warcraft 2, but within the story (save the Everbloom dungeon) the players, Khadgar, Thrall, and their armies aren't really going back to Azeroth at all. At least Alliance forces aren't, if the soldiers in Stormshield are to be believed.

[up][up]Garrisons (probably) won't be continuing in the next expansion. Maybe they'll do something similar or build on the idea, but the garrisons will go the way of the Halfhill farm. That's part of the reason they aren't making a garrison app.

The OP in the expansion 6 speculation thread on MMO-Champion brought up a good point. The shipyard is a seemingly random addition to the Garrison where there are a number of other ways we could just as easily get into Tanaan.

Could ships be our Garrison in the next expansion?

Rank 2 Upgrade Items will now bring a Warlord's crafted item all the way to level 4 with Rank 3 and 4 items and their recipes being removed.

Timewalker dungeons are going to be the already implemented Heroic versions of dungeons from BC and Wrath, but with us scaled to right at or below the recommended item level with no changes being implemented to the old heroics.

The problem with the 'no changes' to old heroics and gear being scaled is that every expansion has already had their heroics nerfed into oblivion more than once. With Timewalker stuff they really should bring the stats back up to prenerf levels, thats the only way these will be any fun.

Yeah, the past expack heroics are no sweat even with levelling gear.

Wow. On post 15264 I completely predicted the absolutely obvious now that more datamines are out. Who could have seen it coming.

Also I am sick and tired of wiping on Mythic Imperator. Has anyone here killed him?

My guild hasn't even killed Normal Imperator: our raid team has too much dead weight that we have to carry.

WOW Token coming April 21 in Europe.

How did the tokens go in the NA region? How'd their prices fare?

Also one commenter notes that if Blizz forgets about Russian discounted prices, they'll be going for three times as much rubles as the regular subsctiption.

They started out at 30k and fluctuated wildly but I think they are semi-stable at like 23 or 24k.

Oh wow, the tokens do cost the full non-discount 20 EUR for Russians. (turning up to 1100 rub as compared to 359 rub regular subscription). That results in 1k gold costing ~31 rubles, which is going to completely fail in affecting the illegal gold trade market with it's ~15 rub price.

Edit: oh wait, the market is united with EU (that's pretty dumb). So Europeans are going to buying tokens with euros and we're going to be exporting in game gold for them. H Ilarious.

Also the steady wave of price in NA is pretty funny as well.

I think that the opportunity to buy gold legally will make a difference in general terms regardless of the specific exchange rate.

With that big a difference (that is going to only grow if the price falls) it really won't. They have set the rubles price way too high for it to be practical. They couldn't avoid it due to the united with EU market, but they should have segregated it like they segregate the actual subscriptions note

It still takes a lot of time to get it. Not to mention luck with the legendary drops of the bindings. I personally dont like that and refer the warglaives. Must be my rogue thing. But hey, it has its memetic appeal going for it.
