Boss gold was indeed nerfed, but you can turn over several hundred gold per run in vendored items alone, never mind the occasional rare item that sells on the AH for a ton. Obsolete dungeons and raids are certainly way up there in gold per time spent.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Primary reason to run Old Content these days is for old legendaries, and swagtastic transmogs
Incidentally todays whine story. Guess who picked up Bladefist? MY DEATHKNIGHT Guess who can't use fists in Transmogs MY DEATHKNIGHT
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Except when your friends tell you that post 6.02 you're so overpowered that you don't need to worry about mechanics in a raid you've never been in. Then forget that part of the reason they can ignore them is because they play paladin. Shannox in Firelands was kicking my ass because...I don't know why. Need an off-tank to taunt so I can remove the DoT? No idea, never been there before, died five times in the process. Lord Ryolith was easy but took forever since he had an 80% damage reduction buff I don't know how to remove.
Doing some research before I continue now.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I say, My blood DK can ignore certain mechanics because Lulz death strike spam, but I've found in some encounters you have to at least try to avoid certain attacks, particularly instakills.
Also Fuck mimiron, He's a bitch when you only have two ranged attacks.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. The DoT makes soloing Shannox tricky. You have to kill his dogs then just burn him down before it overwhelms you. Rhyolith has to be steered over active volcanoes to break his armor. You can try to burn him but it'll be tough. Anyone who tells you that you can simply ignore mechanics in those raids is wrong.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Just did the lvl 90 UBRS. Managed to get a couple of 550 blues, including the cloth chest piece. I had forgotten just how weird the old cloth gear looks.
Also, it was probably the most fun I've had in a dungeon in a long time.
The burn on both of them is tough for now, but will it still be in Warlords epic gear?
IIRC, early on, the Twins in AQ 40 required two-manning at least - they had to be kept very carefully separate or they'd heal. But eventually their heal was outdamaged and they became a flat burn.

I wish you could do the complete version of UBRS, just doing the first 3 bosses out of 5 sucks.
I didn't get any gear from level 90 UBRS. Is it just a random chance per boss that you'll get something, like in LFR?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yep its LFR based. I am pretty sure all loot outside of premades are going to be like that, and premades have an option to set the loot to 'personal', which is what they are calling the LFR loot now.
A blue posted somewhere that personal loot gives loot faster but it just does it indiscriminately.

Yeah, personal loot. Well, it makes sense.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Hyjal is down! Nerd RAEG! Table flip! I demand things!
Ulduar is proving to be a bitch for me to solo for achievements. Heroic Mimiron is hell to solo as a rogue because I have poor ranged DPS, talented auto-attacks at best. Thorium can't even be started. I can two-shot all his arena trash but I can't open the gate before a new wave is on me.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Flying around the continents for both raids and Tricky Treats has reminded me just how little I've done with my Death Knight.
Server is back. Good times.
Also, I finished Firelands...and I didn't even need to run it. Tier 12 is now 100% for sale on the vendor for cash.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Aaaaaaand Stormrage went down. As did a LOT of PVP realms, from the looks of it.
Stormrage probably needs a bit more processing power - since the patch, it's crashed at least once a day.
x4 Ahh nice a fellow Hyjaler.
I play on a medium pop server and I've DC-ed at least once a day since the patch.
Man, I'm a collector and a perfectionist but I'm lazy. I need to do a lot of trick or treating for the pets and toy. Though I don't believe I will bother in any case to get the lich king costume as it is not permanent

I ran through all the candy buckets and did one set of daily quests plus a Horseman kill and I could buy both of the new pets. No 1000 tricky treat costume for me, though.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"You can't get 1000 treats if you got every possible treat you could get in a single hallow's end.
Good point. Blizz posted a hotfix changing the price to 500 and giving the costume 50 charges. Silly Blizz.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"According to Wow Head's guide the total for all possible Tricky Treats is 1152.
The pricing/rate at which you acquire tricky treats is ridiculous.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesI flew around Northrend and Pandaria watching Hellraiser 2 last night, got most of what I'll need for a pet.

Loot still turns a tidy profit.
