Well, here's a couple of random digital paintings I've made for the heck of it.

This one actual got an honorable mention at the school art show :D

and this is just me taking some official nintendo art and trying to do my own oil paint spin on it for fun

Some stuff I did semi-recently I've been pleased with:

A terrible Battletech pun;◊

Something I did after reading Ian Bank's The Algebraist;◊

I really need to get me a scanner; drawing using a tablet is okay, and shortens the time a lot, but I do think I draw better with pencil and paper.

I like that second picture Eth Zee, it looks organic, mechanical, and alien somehow all at the same time. And it's holding a dapper cane of some sort. At least, I hope it's a dapper cane.
Scanners are nice, although they tend to mess up any shading and coloring you attempt. You also have to be careful with stray eraser or pencil marks because they pick those up really easily.

Not bad. Your anatomy is a little too exaggerated, but it's still pretty good.

Another character of mine◊, to practice faces. Yeah, I know.

The right eye isn't really aligned, but other than that, it's a nice painting with a good smirk.

I adjusted it a tiny bit.◊ I doubt it's noticeable, but it's worth a try.

I meant my right, but yeah. Much better.

This might not be the right place, but...Some photoshop work◊That I did for school.◊ I don't have photoshop at home, so I did these at the school.

Got some new sketches for all of you.

This is a sketch of the Bushwacker's torso. I may draw the entire 'Mech at some point. There is a lot of weird linework you can see because I'm trying to draw it so it makes sense perspective-wise.

The Bushwacker's a cooler 'Mech than I thought. It looks rough and serious; more car-like than the much more plane-like other non-humanoid 'Mechs. Also, its design has an excellent sense of balance.

Character I've drawn before, since the last version bugged me.

Hey all! So much great stuff and I haven't had the chance to see all of it yet :( Oh well, I'll get to it. Anyways

Just a more realistic study. Y'know, anatomy and shadow. stuff like that.◊

Stylized studies and some character development◊. One is my Super-Spy Harry Dauntless and the other is a Dangerously Genre-Savvy Master of Illusion villain named Rahul Ram.

A dwarf villain in a haz-mat suit.◊ I have no idea how to use him.

An experiment of mine to make a badass Aquamantype character◊ Personally, my favorite costume is the one above the mace. Seems like a modern day Golden-Age costume to me.

@Dwarf villain: Maybe he attacks using giant, lab-created versions of animals. You know, to compensate.

Who cares how you use him? It's a dwarf villain in a hazmat suit.

Hazmat suit? Maybe give him a reason to wear it. Weaponized radiation, anyone?

Or, he's the captain of a magnificent space pirate ship, a moon-sized old vessel he...salvaged...from deep space and refuses to get rid of even though it's a volatile and hazardously outdated antique. It's so broken down now that being inside it without a hazmat suit poses a danger of radiation sickness. This villain also weaponizes the deadly particles.

Perhaps he could be a shout-out to the pulp villains of old. Scientist during some sort of era of nuclear or biological warfare that necessitated the hazmat suit, but this war is long over and he refuses to acknowledge it or leave the suit, on account of being crazy.

I realize that there are many things I did wrong in this picture, but I need some help pointing out the exact things and how to improve on them. If it's not too much to ask, I'd like some feedback regarding the colouring and shading at least.

The transition from wall to forest is an interesting one, but it takes a while to realize what exactly the wall is transitioning to.

The guy is pretty interesting, though. Especially the lighting on him.
