Cleanup?: Disney Death

The content of the current pic is mostly fine, but could we trim the blackness on the sides and top, and also crop out the XD logo from the left? Of course I suppose the HP bar would go too if we did that.

Actually, looking closer, it could be replaced entirely. They're obviously dead, but without the caption, it doesn't communicate the Not Really Dead part of the trope. (Trouble is, of course, how to show that in a picture.)

The status of fallen characters in early (late too?) Final Fantasy games is "swoon", instead of "dead".

Maybe if you cropped the bottom out instead you could keep the HP bar.

It'd be pretty easy to use the cloning tool to get rid of the XD bug without having to worry about cropping either way. But I won't waste time doing it if we are going to change the image anyways.

I could probably paint that out, but instead, I spent the time looking through the trope examples. Here is an idea: Snow White◊. (It seems like the page image should depict something more iconically Disney.)

Then it's a good thing it has a caption.

I'm totally fine with the Snow White image. Everyone and their mother knows she's alive—but, I think at the time it was meant to be seen, children were supposed to mistake her as really dead.

^^Yes, but the picture, in itself, shows nothing. There's no point to it.

That's not true. The picture shows how such a scene appears on the screen, and the caption comments on what will happen later. The image relies on a caption, but it isn't useless.

How about using Oliver And Company?

There seemed to be a consensus on the Snow White image before the thread died. Image is up. Any comments before lock?

I am waiting to see people say what is wrong with the Oliver And Company one.

The Oliver more clearly demonstrates the trope - the Snow White has just a dead-looking person. We just need a frame where Oliver is more obviously "dead". Or we could use anoter example, but I like the Oliver template.

I'd try to find one where Dodger is carrying Oliver in his mouth, but the video I used to get those screenshots is no longer up on youtube. I'd look harder but doing a last bit of studying for tomorrow's math exam is a higher priority. Speaking of which I should get back at that now...

The Oliver one looks like the cat was just sleeping.

The Snow White picture would be better if she weren't so small. Some sort of closeup would be better.
