That's what i meant, i just couldn't think of a way to say it in one word.

I understanding hesitating a bit but honestly this shouldn't be a problem if they just explain the whole samurai situation. Obviously there is going to be a conflict now but I can't help but feel if they had been straight with them from the beginning what's about to happen could have been avoided.

The Straw Hats are their "saviors" as they love repeating over and over again. I doubt if they were upfront about things from the start the Minks would just immediately change their tune and try and kill them or something.

I liked the samurai before but I dont now. Why do they have to show up and create trouble?

And I love Nekomamushi too! BOOZE AND LASAGNA!

I agree that being straight was probably for the best too. Luffy actually did almost spill the beans (though mostly by accident cause he just says what he wants as usual), and that might have solved the problem right then and there.

Were it not fit Bariete's reaction at the end, I'd wonder if the Straw Hats were worrying over nothing and the Minks wouldn't react nearly as badly as they feared. They said before they judge on actions and the samurai never deliberately did anything to hurt them.

My prediction The night Minks will learn about the samurai just as the clouds over the moon go away, and we see why moonlit nights are a Big Deal.

A little late, but @ the Dr. Dick video: what always gets me about that is that whoever made it is likely a pretty big fan, as it has ridiculously minor characters like Talleran and Wanze in it.

I KNOW RIGHT IT'S AMAZING.

Not to mention turning Franky into Jim Carrey or the fact that its animation is at the exact same level (or maybe even a bit higher) as the original music video.

Well, that helps broaden the gap with the manga, anyway.

North Korea, as usual, ruins everything.

Then again the OP anime's pretty terrible too.

The padding in some scenes is excruciating, like a good hanging scene where Luffy wastes precious Gear 4th time talking to some Dressrosa noncombatants, which jars with the whole "strict time limit" thing. Plot Time to the max and quite gratuitous.

Otherwise the gear 4th stuff has been pretty cool.

Eh, how many episodes did Ichigo shove into his "11 seconds" time limited scuffle with Grimmjow?

One. And if you really want to you could hand wave it as moving so fast that it seems longer by slowing it down or whatever.

Or ALL the episodes that came from Freeza's 5 minutes.

Garfield's response to the torturers was better than Oddie's.

That reaction page felt odd.Maybe because they got all reactiony before the actual explanation.

Seems like Oda's in a rush to end this arc?Not that it could've been this long in the 1st place.Break next week.

Now that it's been tied to the whole minks thing, I'm actually sort of interested in the samurai subplot. I can't remember, have we seen anything about this raidou guy yet?
